that wont be accepted unless you find some glitches or make the fights otherwise interesting. i was bored after the first round show off how stupid the cpu can be or some move cancels, whatsoever

The problem with a walkathon version is that you cannot do W1-Tower's secret exit as it requires holding the Dash button to Shell Dash. So 30 minutes is way out of the question.
Yeah, thats right Just tried some ideas on real hardware but none worked-.- The room isnt high enough to use a mega mushroom.. The other thing i TRIED (i guess it only would work with tool-assistance) is that maybe, if you are one pixel in the next block a ground pound could crush the brick block

ive been wondering... are "walkathon"-movies still accepted or are they subject to this "least-possible-branches-rule"? to my mind a nsmb walkathon movie COULD be interesting how long would it approx be? 30 mins? i know im a glutton but im just asking :-D

thats one of the most random games i've ever seen! and it didn't have that much to do with beach babes, except the ending screen. they could have also named it "Normy's Michael-Jordan-ice-cream-lick-o-rama" with an ending screen showing michael jordan and normy licking ice cream :D but the change of gameplay is rapid and the run seems well executed so here's another YES vote

is it an emulation bug that the ferris wheels dont spin?
I'm not quite sure what you mean by that, they always spin for me.
i watched partyboy1a's encode and there the platforms spin but the stanchions(?) dont.

I already thought about this ame, but i cant get it to work-.- Like mothrayas said, it would be pretty boring And you keep your horizontal speed even while going up hills so you just have to drive straight without caring about obstacles I could see an entertainment run getting published

It does create a nice situation where you get Timburr, Guts activated, and the Quick Claw all in or adjacent to Pinwheel Forest. (And Timburr, if level-manipulated to 16, can easily clear through the entire forest even without Guts, so you can wait until the very end to get paralyzed.)
You can paralize it in the striaton city gym, because all the monkeys know lick EDIT: would be senseless, because you get the quick claw at skyarrow bridge

I guess every TAS from gen 3 onwards will have Guts abuse because its the fastest Way when you are "very lucky" :D For gen V i think that lag could be an issue. On my ds winter lags heavily but fall doesnt. What do lagframes do with the rng? And ive been following hov forums but saw no Big Progress so far. Maybe some Day someone will find THE glitch for a speedrun.

It's a good hack and the run is very well done. the only flaw to my mind is taking damage in the second bowser fight, it seems sloppy. but nontheless Yes vote!

It's the PS2 version if you know where to look and the texture differences between the PS2 and PC version, you will see it's the PS2 version. The loading times could be an emulation glitch or a hack, could also be a difference between game versions. The runner used a Japanese version of the game while the let's play doesn't.
didn't think about that... i tried to find a comparison video but with no success, then i would've seen it^^

It has to be the pc version. If you compare the loading times with this PS2 let's play, you see that the TAS loads way faster. And afaik you can use the lock on function on pc as soon as you use a controller as input. So i guess its hourglass;-)

I found it pretty bland and boring... No hit detection abuse or risky manouvers, I will try to watch aglars run before voting Actually the way the game is played i think that my vote depends on speed rather than entertainment.
