I always imagined the reset was a input, being an actual button in a console, like the pause button on the master system. for me, disc removal funcions like cartdrige tiltling.

Your wish is granted. I feel like this wouldn't even do a good April Fools' submission. =P
I'm not that sure. Most people only know about the ring stages. there are other stages. and I assume they're broken beyond belief.

all sonic runs on the site aim for in game time, so the score tally shouldn't be a problem... Is it possible to get all rings in all bonus stages barring the last one?

I've waited for this run a long time, I'll drop a yes vote right now in b4 this runs gets rejected due to nitpicking also, I see a lot of complains, but I didn't see anyone of these critics caring enough with the site's movie production to actually help doing this TAS 3 months ago, when this project started.

Mupen is not a "VC emulator", stop saying that. Usually it's a good idea to stop trying to trick people with clever wordsmithing when people have already called your bullshit. A VC emulator is specifically not what you want. A VC emulator would be running an n64 emulator inside a wii emulator. Remember? Isn't that what you wanted to avoid doing?
Okay, So I'll rename A windows emulator Wiiemu2000, and Mupen to VC2000, and then run VC2000 inside of Wiiemu2000. So I have a Wii emulator emulating VC emulating N64, which would just as accurate as dolphin, the same situation with the real Wii, and not doing any glitches that the Wii doesn't do. Seems like a winner to me, that's what you want right? I'll start the home page for Wiiemu2000, a Wii emulator that properly emulates the VC, fully compatible with VC2000, and VC2000, a VC emulator that properly emulates the N64 being emulated by VC just as accurately as dolphin.
SUP DAWG, I HEARD YOU LIKE EMULATORS....

How about adding "takes no damage", since the lack of losing rings in debug mode would make damage abuse seem cheap?
I guess taking no damage makes it even more VVVVVVier. This category is dumb. So dumb, in fact, that would be awesome.

this the first time in the history of TASVideos that a movie getting 100% of...something is faster than the any% run. edit: and about the movie... I don't really know what to say... It's not boring, it doesn't have time to be boring, it's basically just the ending... But... It's really funny that you can end the movie in 2 frames, with 100% completition, no less. I'm not voting on this one.

pretty much maybe finding a better, less sloppy-looking ending spot would help as well And I must say how much I love the explosions. This is awesome.

I think that it is not bug. It is simple feature
But... Bunny's sprites indicates that he's getting impulse from the ground... This game is amazing, and the TAS is well executed enough. Voting yes

I think the core problem here really does have much to do with the Gruefood Delight section. Popular runs that get rejected from primary publication for reasons like bad game choice or unusual gameplay restrictions, but get a positive result from viewers, should be given a strong consideration for GD material. A comment mentioned earlier is that Gruefood Delight is tucked away in the site and isn't exactly user-friendly. There are a few fixes, but here are my general ideas and suggestions: - When judging a run, the possibility of accepting it as a GD run instead of ordinary publication should be always an option for runs 'on the edge'. This includes both runs that are well-liked but can't be published due to game/restriction choice, and runs that would be published but are only a hair's breadth from being rejected. - All Gruefood Delights should receive their own submission pages. We could use a slightly different color scheme or some sort of marker to help differentiate them from accepted runs. - Submissions should be able to both leave and enter Gruefood Delight. GD runs that are exceptionally well-liked could be promoted to full, 'official' runs, while existing runs can be sent to Gruefood Delight (either by having unusual criteria (such as our Chrono Trigger New Game+ run), being a poor game choice (such as the Monopoly runs), or being sent there as an alternative to being obsoleted)
For me., the entire existence of the Gruefood Delight is a indication that there's something wrong in the criteria. If it's not good enough for the site, why is it popular, have a lot of runs in the category? What IS being "good enough"? For what? Is Cheetahman 2 that different from Action 52's Cheetahman? I like the suggestion of making different tiers for TASes. That way, GD would be the last one, the final barrier. The place where the so-bad-it's-good TASes would stay. The final frontier. Oh, and I'd totally would make an section for publishing good April Fools videos. Because I luv April Fools videos. And I have insomnia.

Who cares about something different? IF even the most boring movies could be published, I could make a movie with lots of autoscrolling and do absolutely NOTHING in it. Which means I could totally rip off the stunts used in the other movies, as it'll be published anyway, no matter what. ;)
But... that's not what defines the "bad game choice" argument. That's another completely different matter

With NES being a gateway for most people into the world of TAS'ing this is a problem.
This is indeed a problem that should be solved by trying to expand the gateway to other platforms, and not by endorsing NES even more (by accepting bad games from this platform). Your suggestion won't help to solve the problem in long term.
there are a lot of reasons for using mostly NES games, one of the most enduring plataforms this side of Atari 2600. Going after other games for other consoles, like Lynx or Master System, is an adventure in itself, since most sites do not cover these consoles, just a few people actually played games from this consoles.

So far, it hasn't gained much traction here, other than one sarcastic comment.
I openly agree with giving another round of ungruing. The site is different from 2009, more open minded. And, about the topic itself: I've seen countless insanely long RPGs being published here. I see most of them as unbelievably boring. For example the Final Fantasy VI's run. This is one of my favorite games of all time, but I can't stand the movie. I can't say it's badly done because it isn't, at all, but I don't watch it. As well as I don't vote in any kind of RPG run (Chrono Trigger being an amazing exception, due to how the movie works). And it works the same with a lot of users from here hating on fighting games, since most games which aren't Mortal Kombat are not published. Entertainment is subjective. This is not a TV station where we have timeslots, and worries about the shows' audience. This is a site about entertainment, and it varies. I'd rather see a 3 minutes movie about Front Line from watching more than 3 hours of a semi-obscure Japanese RPG. I'm not saying they should be banned, not at all. I'm saying the site should be as extensive as possible, giving as many options for the viewer as possible. ...and also, I miss the random button... and, anyway, that's just my opinion....

My biggest issue with this run is that it is 2 players for absolutely no reason. Killing the 2nd player every single time wastes time, and only makes the run 2 player in 'theory' but not in execution. Honestly, I'd vote a weak yes on a movie with only night crawler. However, as it stands, the inclusion of player 2 just feels sloppy.
about this: the game obligates you to use 2 players. Even if you play this game alone, the CPU will join you. There's not really an option on that matter. About the run: WOW THIS GAME IS BAD. And it got the superpowers mixed! It's Kitty Pryde the mutant that's supposed to walk across walls! I'll vote yes, it's short enough and brutally pass through the game. And... well, if isn't approved, I'll suggest adding it to Gruefood's Delight and the AVGN list

It's very entertaining, but it contains some mistakes. Some fireworks are activated without score necessity (example: 4-3). I'll drop here a weak yes.

What was added in DX? Red coins?
Red coins, You Vs. Boo, printable posters, a calendar, and I've heard The Lost Levels is unlockable (don't quote me on that). In the main game, though, you can switch between Mario and Luigi (controls are the same for both), skip level transitions, and save your progress anytime by pausing the game.
Confirming Lost Levels as unlockable. Sorta. It's the same stages without wind, SMB2 graphics and Luigi physics. And... Voting no, it's redundant. It seems the game is well played, so.. Why about you try the challenge mode, getting all 5 red coins and a yoshi's egg in each stage?
