The only thing I hate about FPS TAS's or speedruns, is most have to look at a certain angle to achieve optimum speed or cornering, so you basically miss out on seeing a lot of the environments and even enemies. It's up to you, but there not something I like to watch unless I've never seen the game beaten.

Any possible chance you can post the actual mupen file? I hate watching videos, I prefer playing them through the emulator.

Definitely got my vote on this. I prefer the 100% runs over skipped ones as it is. I disagree with moozooh, the run should be starred regardless of length, its entertaining the whole way and there is a very tiny % that doesn't know or doesn't like mario 64.

or otherwise</b> READING IS POWER! Also, when I said graphically, I meant abnormalities not improvements, try to use your thought process.

Haha, I like that animation, but wish the blur was more visible. I wasn't quite sure what that was supposed to be until you said 'zelda' and I realized its link sliding.

Has anybody ever donated for PJ64 Beta 1.7? I heard that it is much more stable compared to the existing build... and the core of Mupen hasn't been updated for over a year now, whereas PJ64 1.7 will feature a brand new core with better compatibilities. Will there be any plans to make PJ64 the standard TAS emulator over Mupen when 1.7 is certified to be a better emulator (when I say emulator, I mean purely emulation rather than the tools)
I've gotten a hold of it and I don't notice any sort of improvements, graphically or otherwise. I havn't played a lot of games with it yet.

Would anyone happen to know the RAM address for the random encounter check? I understand that 7E1F6E is the step counter, however im trying to find the address that runs a check on this number. Occording to the alogrithms FAQ, the value at 7E1F6E is divised by 256 and then checked against another value that is randomly generated each step. I've been able to find the value for the address that is randomly generated but cannot find its location. I've been using cheat engine to debug Snes9x itself, but to no avail.

Sorry for not reading but there are quite a number of pages and I can't seem to grasp what is going on currently, is the recent discussion about a 100% run or a optimization of the TSA run completed earlier by guanobowl (the 2 hour run)??? If there is a new WIP for a 100% run anyone mind linking the movie file? Thanks.

I can't think of a single flash game i'd even want to see TAS"d. Most are uninteresting and score oriented.

Dut: Would you happen to have a link to Kawaks 1.55? I get a de-sync trying to play your DDSOMA.rc1 when using 1.56.

Yea, I definatley had mistakes and its labeled a test run for a reason. I ended up with grenades left over at the end I should have used some for the first helicopter and truck. I think stage 2 is pretty spot on for the exception of the boss. Im not gonna be spending too much time on it as I saw FBA runs are not accepted here (for silly reasons at that).

Keep these coming, I love watching these quarter eating arcade games being beaten with ease. The Mars Matrix Movie should be submitted to the site. That game will have you crying trying to not die. Excellent movie.

Excellent work and please keep this updated. I've started using it and will be completing a run shortly. I have a couple of features I would to see implemented however: Re-map the re-recording controls. On record, have an option to record from reset. Display emulation speed if changed when paused. Turn on frame counter when paused. Thanks!

Please post a binary of the already patched AdvMame.exe: http://img175.imageshack.us/my.php?image=failedts0.jpg I keep recieving that error. Upload it to a free upload site like MegaUpload if necessary. EDIT: If I was doing it incorrectly and im supposed to patch the source, i'd still much rather have a modified binary, 7ziping with ultra on the AdvMame.exe still netted a less than 7 Megabyte file. An IPS patch would also be ideal rather than the actual source IMO. I don't feel like installing a developing enviorment just to compile AdvMame... Thanks.

Having a problem. Snes9x runs perfectly fine under the x64 OS, my problem lies with my gamepad. Im using the radioshack PSX to USB adaptor and drive and it works great in zsnes, mame, vba etc... only snes9x seems to be having problems. The problem that is occuring is that the POV switch isn't doing diagonals (can't do dragon uppercuts/fireballs). I can do it with the analog if I set the controls to the analog controller but when trying to use the POV, its very slow and unresponsive at times and will only do up/down/left/right and no combination of those with my thumb. Has anyone else encountered this issue before? I also noticed when setting the controller settings in snes9x sometimes, i'll be setting say button 'X' and press a control on my gamepad and it sets the control for "Left" instead. Very strange. Perhaps someone knows a fix. Zsnes works perfectly fine, so im assuming its a problem with snes9x and it only occurs on the x64 OS. I know the obvious answer is to use the 32-bit version of xp, but I would really like to see if there is a fix for this. Thanks for any help. EDIT: Okay, apparently this seems to be a snes9x problem in general, not a 64-bit issue. I followed some links Nitsuja gave me and still havnt found a fix other than to just use the analog sticks. Anyone know a fix? I've tried resetting the configured by deleting the registry keys, but no good.

I had the same problem with my 4400+. If you're using a Intel Dual core here is the fix: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896256 AMD's dual core optimizer includes that fix here: http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/TechnicalResources/0,,30_182_871_13118,00.html
