Ah I see, well, still looking forward to disc three obviously, but sounds like the optimisations will make it well worth waiting for. Regarding you're plans to improve your past route... That's one thing I noted back when I first saw the annotation for the missed phoneix down outside the Prima Vista crash site; sounds like editing past segments is (relatively?) easy. How much do you estimate the amount of fixing you need to do to get everything to sync back to Tantarian from your Disc One revisit? (If you can even guess; I imagine It can be a random process at times.) What was the cause of your original uncertainty with your Ore requirements? My best guess is for how many times you'd need to heal Zidane to a amount for Lucky 7 to work? The extra Gil from the Chocobo Hot and Cold going to save time anywhere you know yet? Good luck with Ragtime Mouse, and looking forward to the lua notes stuff.

Hope this is not seen as a nag. How is it going? From what little I know, that bloody book was just the start at this point. 100% Combined, makes itself felt big time in disc three right?

Neat strat. What level did Freya get to from that? Regarding the cards, can you get all of them from just those 4 places? I could have sworn Fat Chocobo had unique cards? The last guide I read said a handful were unique to Memoria too, although that guide may be getting on to a decade old at this point. Interesting stuff about the X/A stats levelling on the cards too. Thankfully a lot easier to manipulate than I had feared for you.

Didn't you imply you pulled it off more than once the other day, or did I miss understand? Regardless cheers for taking the time to post it here zoda. And finding your version.

Think I'm just surprised your card route is optimised enough to challenge that one guy in a tunnel between continents, and 6 hours+ in he was the only one. Interesting Data on Hippaul. I know I used an autofire controller back in the day... It worked, but it sure as hell didn't get 5 level ups for long. It did get me to 80 though so not sure if that makes what I bought garbage, or the opposite. Most of the rest of the disc seems to be self explanatory, so not many questions this time. Scanning over the rest of the gameFAQs guide, Disc3 wips will be the opposite I'm sure; especially with Combined Stats path. Keep up the great work! e; Oh one thing, cards again. What is the manip on your card level ups like? I saw you got two 'X' to pop up that game, one of which used to be his card, the Carrion Worm I think.

Huh, I have no idea how many frames Hippaul shaves off every Level, but that looks almost intentional. Great news on the time. Looking forward to that wip.

Pleasantly surprised you can still beat Hippaull by over a second at level 75 even with tools.

How many forests do you end up passing through/only have to make minor detours for, whilst doing the other things on your 'to-do' list? I imagine chocographs and the Choco beach healing quest must add quite a few. Nice to hear your rapid progress, and getting around your Ragtime snag. Sounds like you are about level with that GameFAQs guide despite all the extras you've done so far?

For what it is worth, I agree. Love your work Sonicpacker, but it is still a hack, and those only interested in the game as is should not have to wade through posts that are not Mario64. I understand your point, but calling this 'untouched' is kinda silly mate.

Glad to see this updated. Yeah, I'd insist on using/alternating between the Black/White Yoshi's if I could. Using Sonic Advance 3 as an already published example, screw time wasted in character selection screens; just use the fastest character for the stage, be it Black, White, or somehow Green, Red and the rest.

Yeah, I recalled that Freya and Steiner needed to get KO'd to avoid the exp. Just after those two bulky characters got one-shot'ed, I'd assumed squishy little Vivi would have been too. I underestimated the effects of equipment I guess. Which was silly of me in retrospect.

Ha, thanks! Man, I forgot how brutal that would be without tools. Nice Zorn/Thorn fight, cut that one real close. I assume Vivi was fine from being hit by that Bandersnatch, whilst it was a 1HKO on everyone else was due to him being the only one having defense equips on?

Huh, I would have thought Night would have been one of the useless Blue Magics for sure. I'd forgotten about the Lvl 5 Death Grand Dragons exploit, but I can't believe I overlooked frog drop considering the goals. Yeah I couldn't recall if you could get the Dali Farm chest during the visit whilst the card tournament is going. It does seem to have a lot going on for such a tiny town. Interesting stats with Ragtime Mouse encounters. Cheers for the info! Good with Alexandria. I seem to recall it being a nightmare in real time, so looking forward to seeing it demolished.

Nice to see that you have now switched to a more followable update schedule. Coincidentally earlier today I was wondering if it be another 6 months till we saw your next wip at the end of disc two, rather than hour chunks, so cheers for that. (Haha, unless you just give us a wip every time Beatrix kicks your ass!) Anyway, great work so far, yet again. How tight are you on Gil at this point, specifically all the gil needed for the Treno Auction house items? I'm aware of the cotton robe trick course, but that had to be tight? It made me wonder if Zidane winning the great hunt was for the gil it gave rather than part of the 100% definition. Curious how many of Quinas Blue magics will get a use. Limit Glove is obvious. Auto life maybe if it can revive at 1hp, I forget? I guess the rest you have picked up so far are just as they are on the way? Dali trip is needed as this is the only point to get that chest in the farm right and Cotton Robe ingredients right? Or can you get that chest later, and you are only really there for the Wrists? Any reason for the, seemingly brute forced, Ragtime Mouse encounter? Seemed to waste some time in getting that encounter. Or is that related to my first, how tight are you on gil, question?

Thanks! It's looking great Sam. My favorite bit of the Oddysee 100% TAS was the gamespeak manipulation of the other Mud's. Smoothly getting everyone to the portals in one trip rather than the more methodical, and dull, strats non TAS's are forced to do. With Exoddus's extra commands to streamline things additionally, plus the addition of the blind Muds to add more challenge, this is shaping up to be even better in that regard. Nice work, I'm eagerly looking forward to the next big update.

The thing to note is that I managed to dig up a Cachusha (odds are 1 in 10240) that allows Ability Up for the girls quite early.
Did you intend and thus manipulate for that item or is it just a 'lucky' find? Also, that Nero Family side quest is a new one to me. That is a pretty obscure treasure/quest, but, more relevant to this topic, seems time consuming as hell to do it and get to the ExII on time. I know little about FF9 running other than a casual attempt at 'perfect game' I did, (that I learned later was more or less doomed from the start being a PAL player...) but I assume the main reason you have so much time to spare is, under TAS conditions you seem to basically have a manual Enc-non and random battles cost so much time?

Another person chiming in to say this is one hell of a project to look forward to, doubly so after seeing the job done thus far. A few questions; How many of the Endgame stat boosting equip's did you grab from Chocobo Hot and Cold there? I think I saw a Barette, which was the best Strength booster iirc? Anything else of note? Is the Marcus/Ekio stats glitch planned to be used? What in-game time are you expecting to reach Excalibur 2 at? There seems to be alot on that list that needs to be done before the 'point of no return' on disc 4 that you wont be able to back track for.
