Bah... this run leaves me very conflicted. No rings, to me, has always seemed... just silly and pointless, though I admit with the recent flood of them I have scanned, I may be starting to actually see the point of them, even if I still do not agree with the goal. But god bless you two for a Good Future run. CD needs one. (I still want an all good future, all metal sonic holos, and all times stones collected on the last stage run, but that's for another time.) As some who has timed attacked Sonic, the effort put into this was very, very nice.

CONFIDENTIAL Dear jlun2, Good day and compliments. This letter will definitely come to you as a huge surprise, but I implore you to take the time to go through it carefully as the decision you make will go off a long way to determine the future and continued existence of the entire members of my family. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dr. (Mrs.) Mariam PAUSED, the wife of the late head of state and commander in chief of the armed forces of the federal republic of Nigeria who died on the 8th of June 1998. My ordeal started immediately after my husband's death on the morning of 8th June 1998, and the subsequent take over of government by the last administration. The present democratic government is determined to portray all the good work of my late husband in a bad light and have gone as far as confiscating all my late husband's assets, properties, freezing our accounts both within and outside Nigeria. As I am writing this letter to you, my son Mohammed Abacha is undergoing questioning with the government. All these measures taken by past/present government is just to gain international recognition. I and the entire members of my family have been held incommunicado since the death of my husband, hence I seek your indulgence to assist us in securing these funds. We are not allowed to see or discuss with anybody. Few occasions I have tired traveling abroad through alternative means all failed. It is in view of this I have mandated DR GALADIMA HASSAN, who has been assisting the family to run around on so many issues to act on behalf of the family concerning the substance of this letter. He has the full power of attorney to execute this transaction with you. My late husband had/has Eighty Million USD ($80,000,000.00) specially preserved and well packed in trunk boxes of which only my husband and I knew about. It is packed in such a way to forestall just anybody having access to it. It is this sum that I seek your assistance to get out of Nigeria as soon as possible before the present civilian government finds out about it and confiscate it just like they have done to all our assets. I implore you to please give consideration to my predicament and help a widow in need. May Allah show you mercy as you do so? Your faithfully, Dr (Mrs.) Mariam Abacha (M.O.N) N/B: Please contact Dr Galadima Hassan on this e-mail address for further briefing and modalities Return to Nigerian Scam Gallery Tony-the-Wonder-Llama Have a question for Quatloos? Great stuff. How you got the 3 punch combo to save time in ngh2 will always be cool. Early days I know but I'm hoping you do more with the advance series!

Are you finding one too many gray hairs in your reflection... or even worse, no hair at all? Does your lady find you lacking in the bedroom? Do you keep offering general game sale pitches, on a speedrunning site, rather than something helpful that has something to do with tool assisted running? ... Well no worry! All these problems and more can be fixed with one simple action! Your local drunk ad bot is hear to serve! All you need to do is subscribe to the "Amazing fantastic Paused 2 step plan!" Step 1. Offer something relevant to TOOL ASSISTED SPEEDRUNS in your new topic. This, I admit is tricky. Why would you offer something relevant to TOOL ASSISTED SPEED RUNNING on a website that has an acronym in its name about TOOL ASSISTED SPEEDRUN/SUPERPLAY videos. Here have a awful, 1st google search attempt at an example! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEDGhSoQGB0 Its low effort! Its awful! Its a waste of time! Its still something that makes a troll post such as this have more content than your OP! Step 2. Plz give all your credit card details to the official document you will be receiving shortly champ! (cos Im the ad bot; not you... Do you get it?! LOLz!)

Damn, and I was halfway through a 52.5% run! This isn't going to obsolete mine is it?

All gold crowns requires 10000 points on each level, at least. But you can get CDs with fewer points than that.
I am refering to the bonus 'Karaoke' CD which is not found in a level, rather it is rewarded for all Gold Crowns. http://www.mariowiki.com/Wario_Land_4#Sound_Room http://www.mariowiki.com/File:Soundroom.PNG

what I'd like to watch (even if other people wouldn't), would be a highscore run that got the maximum possible score in each level
But In theory I would prefer this too. As long as the point farming did not get too tedious when it is put into practice.

You could make a run 100 % with all the CDs and jewels
All CD's requires 10,000 points (Tracked in game via gold crown next to high score totals) on every level anyway, so including all jewels in the definition probably isn't necessary as most will be collected anyway, and they are not tracked in game.

I vote yes, but I am unsure if a 100% run could replace it or not.

How would this run differ from a 100% run?
If I am understanding the intent of your question correctly; the biggest thing can think of is using mini mario in the world 5 boss fight. (Assuming 100% gets to world 7 using a cannon.)

what's the point?
As a person who wants to see a new 120 star run, but thinks the free runs were an a cool gimmick that were run into the ground years ago... I stopped checking this topic, regardless of the number of new posts, because to me, as a casual fan, free runs have become repetitive and boring.

So a couple of guys during the TSC marathon... (Which is going on right now donate u scubs.) mentioned a faster team than the current TAS for CA3, (Tails and Amy) which is at the end of the run when all teams are unlocked for those not in the know. I plan to do a test with my limited skills at some point this week, unless there is someone better than I (not hard), already in the know. edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rng1q0UT9I8&feature=plcp check the linked guide for the tas beating claim. edit2: Yes it is faster. I managed 31.75 seconds which is about 1.5 seconds faster than the current any% for this level, and no doubt my time can be improved. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/669475921/1490%20-%20Sonic%20Advance%203%20CA3%20Tails%20Amy.vbm

Really appreciate you finishing this, considering how much you seemed to find it a slog at the end. Despite you saying at one point that rank runs were not for TASing, I for one did find this a more entertaining playtype. Really enjoyed both the wips and the finished product. Cheers for the run.

So I have kinda, somewhat, not really, looked into doing some 'amateur' for lack of a better term, experimented tasing recently. Nothing to do with this game yet... just wanted to offer my services in case a brain dead, brute force, frame by frame input check could get you through this road block.

I can see this type of run being alot more interesting to me than the standard any% runs. I hope you continue with this past Lyn mode, it was good so far even if you are still in the tutorial areas.

Any NSMBDS TASers out there, I'm really interested in whether 6-1 is possible no-coins, btw; it's probably TAS-only if it is.
This probably sums up my feelings to non coin/ring runs. They are slow any% runs with one or two sections in the entire game that require a strat that is more than 'go slow.' Those one or two levels make perfect 1 minute Youtube videos or concept demos. Not really worth the slow any% 10+ minute long filler to see couple of 'neat the first time you see them' gimicks. And whilst I would like to be proved wrong, I would like to see the 100% run more.
