Individual Level. I imagine that means that DaTeL237 is more intrested in the time shown in the mission results screen for each mission, rather than the total number of frames in the movie file. Time going to the hangar to select a better than default ship be damned.

So in Green Forest... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aArYWoFpY1c The running vertically up the tree trunks trick is new right? Because it looks awesome.

It didn't even feel fast. Really looking forward to watching this when it is done though.

If you were to run Cradle twice, you could always throw on the cheats you have unlocked along the way to make it different.

You are ranked on level scores are you not? With the Gold/Silver/Bronze crowns that pop up next to your score in the end of level warps. You could go for an All Gold Crown/All CD run rather than aiming for highest score.

Oh man, your right... That will teach me not to watch till the end of the bonus point countdowns too. Well in that case, yeah Mukki, it was alright.

My only negative comment would be Tails missing. Not really relevant in an Act1 I know, but just putting it out there if you do the full run. Edit: I do not have working eyes. Other than that... great. What I was hoping to see from a Sonic Advance run.

The only submitted Sonic run that went for real time rather than in-game was an all Emerald run of Sonic1 IIRC. That was rejected, and one of the reasons was the real time vs. In game time argument. Have not watched the videos yet. (Waiting till I actually lay the game.) But eagerly looking forward to eventually seeing it.

Hey guys, So, like I said in my submission text to my glitched Sonic Advance run, I have been looking into making a run of Sonic Advance that does not abuse the spindash glitch... http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/230081517/sonicadvanceicemountain.vbm
Loved it. Advance 1 was one of the dullest Sonic runs to me thanks to the glitches. Can not wait to see more.

I would rather 100% runs have both, best possible ending and deathless. Especially in runs where they are one and the same. I'll survive either way though.

As I recall, maps and compasses aren't required for the other games and thus shouldn't be here either.
Required where? I know there are 100% Zelda runs at SDA, but as far as I know there have been none accepted (or even submitted?) here. Even so, especially with a series as large as this what might be acceptable for one game may not be acceptable for another. Why could a Wii game effect the rulling of a NES game?

I will watch this however it is done regardless, however... This video could be more entertaining if if it starts from a SRAM (Thats the right name right?) to have all the characters unlocked from the get go, especially if the ingame timer is used and real time is ignored IMO. It would help differenciate from the any% and would prevent the Alter Emerald fight from having to be done twice. Seeing Sonic+Amy in Route99 act for example, would be a nice change.

The goal of this site is generally to showcase how a game programmed by sub-optimal programmers can be played by an optimal human with certain objectives.
I always understood that the aim of this site was to provide entertaining movies of video games played with access to tools. These goals can overlap, no doubt. They can also be seperate... Otherwise this topic would not exist?

Would we actually see the proper boss for Sonic & Tails in the Marble Garden Zone then?
This is a part of a question I was waiting to ask... What is the opinion on fighting all the intended bosses? The Marble Garden zone one got me thinking about it, (because I do like the idea behid that one, and was sad to see it skipped) but in the current any% the list for zones that skip/switches boss or sub-boss fights is getting as large as zones that do not. (Marble Garden, Ice Cap, Launch Base, Flying Battery, Lava Reef and Sky Sanctuary IIRC)

Pointless Boy: I half feel that there should be additional encodes with the camera hack centered on Sonic and Tails, as well as the one with the HUD, just so people can see a little bit better what is going on.
I for one would appreciate this.

...and I second the need for a glitchless run. Yes vote.
Add another person who would certantly follow such a run. This run is great, no doubt and an easy yes vote. However Sprintgods old run is probably the most entertaining Sonic3+K run for me so far. (At least when the whole run, from start to finish, is what is taken into acount.) An updated version with Tails and the precision available with the new tools available now would be great to see one day. That said, this is still a great watch marzojr. Congrats.

All inventory items and fully upgraded stuff, and all heart containers obviously. What I will skip: Blue Mail (Because of the red one), blue boomerang (because of the red one), compasses, maps.
...Just do that then. I assume you would have the most fun with this project with goals which you want to do? So yeah, what EEssentia said. I just wanted to say myself, the point I was trying to make when I asked the question. Anyway, looking forward to when you back to this.

Doomsday zone is another annoying as hell level because of luck issues. This level is also NOT a fixed length auto-scroller! I managed to do what I had deemed impossible earlier -- collect ALL rings -- but it loses too much time, so it is not on the movie.
If it is not too much of a hassle, is there any chance of seeing this anyway in a seperate input movie? Congrats on finishing again. Edit;

I intend to hit up Maple after dungeon 2 to get the Power Ring lvl-2...
This is probably a silly question but as this is the second quest, can you not get the Power Ring lvl-3 and any other ring from using the ring secret? Edit; Nevermind, re-read the last page. I would still say your sanity has enough to manipulate without using the Ring Secret, or any of the others, though.
