Improvement to an already great run. Obvious yes vote. I was definitely pleasantly surprised to see you come back to this; assumed you'd have pushed the game to its limits after your Max Special Bonus run. Clearly the run and your short novel of a submission text proved I was mistaken there! Loved the audio commentary too. I appreciate you going the extra mile and doing that.

Don't forget doing detailed backstory's for the re-re-re-re-re-re-re-do's of each and every Angel island version.

Ha, I realise this is something of a weak offer, as I can't offer even a fraction of what Yogwog can; but as he brought up proof reading and whatever other assistance can be given, just shout from me like wise. But yeah; take your time on it till you're happy with it. Run is already out there for us fanatics who will seek out the commentary when it's done regardless. Worth taking your time on it for the people who are just more interested in TAS's in general who will only read your commentary the first time they watch your video.

You two have already heard from me what I think of this marvelous TAS, and even if you have not, people more informed than I have, and I'm pretty sure when it's actually submitted, will continue to do so, commented on how and why it's so great. So I'll just add that a year or so back I was thrilled that Evil_3D came along and picked up this game out of nowhere to TAS and was so great. New blood coming into the game after so long was pretty thrilling, especially some one so adept... and something I did not expect to ever see this late into the game. And now it's happened again! You've done amazing work on this Kaan55; you're an fantastic contribution to the community. Amazing run; looking forward to voting Yes on submission and, if you chose to do so, following your future projects. Cheers for the great TAS.

Note that after this he lost his shield and did insta-shield with more than 50 rings without transforming into super.
I noticed that too, but some how he does actually go super in Death Egg 1, at about 55 minutes on the twitch vod. Enters Doomsday at the end too.

Any chance of an update guys? It's been months since I've seen a re-do of Angel island... starting to get withdrawal symptoms.

Oh cool! I've been hoping you'd do this run from the moment I saw you do this RTA knowing your TAS background too. Had to stop myself being the annoying ''that guy' from requesting it in Youtube comments a bunch of times! And it definitely didn't disappoint! Great work 8bit; a fun watch! Thanks for doing this.

Jeez, in a level that ends in only 3.37, 46 seconds is a hell of an improvement. So what you two re re re doing next?

Crazy as hell… With this game you never know what will be discovered tomorrow.
It'll be some way to squeeze an extra ring out of Angel island so they have to re TAS that stage for the four hundredth and sixty third time. But seriously, great find.

Oh neat; hadn't noticed this was submitted, nor did I know it was even being worked on so this is a nice surprise! Great work Zurggriff! Feels like the site is getting close to having a full set of the 8bit Sonics.

I have a probably more basic question! What's happening at in game 5 seconds, where you're seemingly building up speed Sonic CD peel out style but with a much higher speed cap on the lazer bridge? I don't recall seeing it in any other runs, just this latest video and kaans wip of it.

Am I really that good? I mean I never thought I'd be able to surpass your skills. Thanks man :D
Yeah, I have no where near the knowledge to compare you two, but you've gotten pretty great pretty quickly mate. Controlling two player like that even under TAS conditions is baffling to me, yet you make it look like you just play co-op game solo all the time.

I started a new project, Knuckles glitchless, this is the first wip.
Cool; excited to see this happen. Best of luck with it!

Seriously? Screen wrap in a glitchless run? I know some of the exploits in this game can't truly be classified as glitches but that's ridiculous. I'm pretty sure stuff like that isn't expected nor wanted in a glitchless category. That's why I'm very satisfied with Evil's choice of restrictions.
I believe you slightly miss understand. Sprintgods 1st (and the sites 1st) S3K 'glitchless' TAS was actually just an any% at the time. There were no glitches in it, not because he chose not to do so, but as none were know at the time. His next run that obsoleted it did have glitches in it, but it wasn't considered a separate category as the 'glitchless' category wasn't really a thing back then. They were both just considered any% runs. Remember, this was way back when he played at 6% play speed to be precise rather than frame advance. And obviously in regards to the Ring attacks; phenomenal work from all as always.

Nice job on the glitchless run. Are you planning on make a full run out of this?
Yes, probably I will start to work with Sonic alone, Knuckles or even Tails (most probably with Sonic) because I'm a little exhaust with 2 players.
I feel like a selfish asshole even going in to this... But whatever. Sonic 3 glitchless as Sonic+Tails has been my dream from this site ever since I discovered it through sprint gods TAS's back in the day. I understand that requesting such a thing is quite a feat But both you and Kann have done ring attacks! And seemingly mastered the 2play controls! That shits crazy! I just feel like you're the people that are the dream I hoped to make the video we all want to see... To be succinct, I feel like a single player sonic TAS glichless is essentially a TAS that will give blue balls. But Im not a complete idiot; Im sure 2 player tas'ing is a pain in the ass; I get it I wish you luck in what ever direction you go in.

So ' JustFruitSalad' found another OoB with Amys hammering of springs in Chaos Angel 2 and KirbyMasta made a video of it! Link to video It's currently slower than the any% TAS time, and quite considerably so (0:50.77 vs 0.59.55) but perhaps people here can make more out of it, as it is rather new. Could help the 100% too, I don't know.

Yeah, you can collect 6 emeralds via getting 50 rings in an act one of a zone and then completing a Special Stage (which is almost identical in design to Sonic2's on the genesis, so kinda boring.). Then you get the final 7th one in the last boss fight seen in this video, by hitting the emerald at the back enough so it falls out, before you destroy the boss. If you do that, you get an extra 'stage' as Super Sonic chasing after Eggman in space much like Doomsday Zone in Sonic (3) and Knuckles. (though the fight itself is more like Sonic Advance 2s Super sonic final stage.) Then you get a slightly different ending. None of it is particularly exciting, so you're not missing out on much. Glad to see this done Memory. Saw your wip in the thread I hoped this was something you were still working on. A very pleasant surprise to see it pop up in the workbench. Obvious yes vote. Great work; very entertaining run.

Looking good Evil; these were a good welcome home gift after a holiday for myself. Feels like the finish line is in sight, though that may be as I'm used to the Knux run when it comes to ring attacks.

Obvious yes vote. Ever look at non-special stage abuse routes for the levels you grabbed an emerald in out of curiosity?

Ah I see. Yeah, I can see such a header in the menus when I load up genesis or GBA roms. But yeah, can't even get that far with SMS as you suggest. Unfortunately deleting config.ini has not seemed to have any effect?
