I don't know if it is the slowest since taking Grant makes you a big detour.

Don't cancel it. Anyway, there exists the Trevor's only route. ;)

I=Samhain-Grim? or you Vandal? My opinion is that bosses fight could be improved but I may be wrong. I think switching character is not a good idea. The strategies used are similar to mines in my video and I think they could be improved. CV3 was one of my first timeattacks which is improvable. I also think that I shouldn't switched as much times in my video.

One question: Are you sure the Sypha route is the fastest one?
I wouldn't doubt the Sypha route too much, there is more waiting periods on the Alucard route (the floors melting away, the floors stacking up, etc.) and Grant just can't compete with that. Also, my source of knowledge of this route with Grant is from the run on SDA and I'm sure they knew what they were doing or talking about.
SDA goal is different from us and we can do magical things with rerecords and frame advance. I remember different parts where grant could be useful in Alucard path...

Apparently, you didn't watched my previous video as well as Genisto's one and the Castlevania movie. This trick had been found many years ago.
Well, I just re-reviewed yours and Genisto's CV3 runs (yes, I have watched them quite a few times before, that is what motivated me to do the Grant path) and there are only a few occurances that bypassing the 'delaying animation' that comes from a long fall and some of them are not relevant (one was used in an area where the screen auto-scrolls downward).[/quote] It's true that it's not present in first stage but from stage 2 and more, we can see it in our videos. And remember that those runs were done with Famtasia that "desync" as much as I breath air and we were too lazy to restart the whole thing. Though I can count the number of times this trick was used in my run which didn't happen only a "few" times. Also, note there's one more auto-scrolling level in Sypha's route. Edit: Since you love switching guys when killing bosses which loses you some time, there's one place that, maybe, it could save some time. The trick is to switch guys at right time when Doppelganger is transforming and he will fall through the floor.

To bypass the 'delaying animation' that comes from a long fall you have to strike your weapon on the correct frame in which your weapon striking animation ends as you hit the ground, you'll see I do this quite a few times throughout the run. All credit for this finding goes to a user, on this board, known as StormEagle so I'd like to thank them and give them their credit. To do the 'newly found trick' you have to strike your weapon or sub-weapon on the frame before you touchdown on the ground (yes, you have to have jumped or walked off an edge in order to do it).

And don't waste your time, Pom's video is probably some frames faster.

I know I shouldn't be advocating this, but well there are many *ahem* sources available to get dumps of SNES games... can't say the exact same for PS isos, while there are sources, the file sizes aren't exactly very friendly for downloading.
Since people are supposed to own original game..... They shouldn't care about fle size.

But the thing is that if it's the PS version that is going to be used, then wouldn't it mean all the WIPs have to be coded into video format since most will not own the game?
I think it also applies for Snes. I don't think many people own the cartridge either. Ogre Battle cartidge is rare and this one is rarer. As for me, I own the original cd.

The game is in japanese and imo, we should wait some PS emu with rerecording and use the US version. The music sounds better and graphically a little better. Plus, text is understandable.

Sometimes pressing the turbo button for 0.1 second and FCEU acts as if you are holding it for 15 seconds. Pretty annoying. I thought this problem was solved... but it's there.

Imo, the font size and red color is ok. It should be customizeable because I love it like it is right now.

Would it be possible to record AVIs which have the "movie start" and "movie end" messages in them in the next version?
As an option, yes. Not all people want to record those messages in AVI.

It's so off-topic that it should not be here at all. Even the grue refuses to eat it.

Good game but with 64 races which takes a minimum of 2 minutes per track then o_O the movie will be pretty long.

However, I'm inclined to agree that some aspects were less entertaining than they could be. I'm can't speak for Phil or Bisqwit, but in my case I felt like there was too much item collection. Maybe this was integral to your luck optimization, but if it wasn't I'd hope a future version would include less candle-smashing.
Imo, collecting bag of money is good. I am also doing that in my movie and will do that in future version.

I am happy that you don't feel insulted like Mr. Zurreco claim to be and loves to make false accusation.

Now reporting errors, etc... is now illegal? Sorry but stop that. Here, we want the most entertaining movie and I think it's not the case. However, the new trick makes an illusion that the movie is perfect which I say it's not true. The movie is indeed good but I say it can be even better. If you have a problem with that, then open a new topic so people can discuss.

Well, to be fair, I wasn't giving you a lesson; I was making a statement. Claiming that someone else's work isn't as interesting as your own isn't very becoming of a good competitor, but that is just my opinion. Feel free to passively insult people all you want.
Now, you're saying that I am insulting people... I said that SOME parts aren't as entertaining and I am going to redo the run.

I am used of taste of defeat. How many movies I have been beaten recently and didn't even care... let's see Contra 3, Adv. Island 3, SMB2( his movie was better even if it doesn't look so). Maybe I am missing some more. When people like you and Zurreco are trying to give me lesson, I am saying "Check elsewhere if Morimoto could be there". :P

Well, nice dicovery. I have no choice but to beat you. It's sad that some parts of the movie aren't as entertaining as in my run. I am going to correct them. In fact, with the boomerang, it will be even easier. It's rather strange that I don't see Bisqwit complaining that the movie input stop as soon as possible while it was the case with me. Oh well... No more commentary.

I think we have already such movies. A Boy and his Blob is a good example.

What if I named my character IDIOT and played through the game without dying and without stealing from the shop? Would you call that the best ending?
I misred. Yes, it would be the best ending without a doubt.

About SM: That's exactly my point. Rescuing the animals in Super Metroid is like a little extra, but you still got the "best ending" because you beat the game in less than 3 hours and got to see suitless Samus.
That's what I meant. Why the SM doesn't have the best ending tag while this one yes.

CtrlAltDestroy: The name "IDIOT" will be replaced to THIEF.

the best ending in SM contains a small moving white dot before the planet explodes. You need to resque the animals. JXQ, your cue for image spamming!
That "small moving white dot before the planet explodes." can be compared to THIEF. They are minor details that affects by very little the ending.
