Frame counter and/or input display now go into AVI recordings. (It won't be legible if the codec's video quality is too low, of course.)
It will be better to have an option to deactivate it. I don't like this feature. I remember telling blip to desactivate it since I didn't love that feature. For subtitles, yes but this is not implemented.

Rope Jumping: A nice trick which help me to complete Stages faster. I found it in the first Stage. When you enter a new screen up, then jump. When the new screen load you will jump up a bit and climb higher at the rope. Now you can jump to the next platform or still climb up at a higher position. <p/>
A nice trick that unfortunately, I have already discovered. There is similar bug in NES Battletoads.

You should have posted it because you are slower than me and Genisto's WIP. Well, at level 1 section 5, we are 137 frames faster. Well, this video will guide us I guess.

MAJOR BUG: When renaming the executable, the application refuses to open and indicates that the current configuration is incorrect and that I should reinstall it. And what is the purpose of the .manifest file?

He means, when savestates are in movies dir then you want to replay movie, savestates are considered movies in file box. In other words, FCEU should only put .fcm file only.

That's not entirely true. It can be damaged a little and still uncompress like it already happens to me some days ago.

When using frame advance and show inputs is on, we don't see them. Edit: CorePNG codec isn't working well. In fact, FCEU either crashes when stopping recording or the AVI is 0 byte. How about an option to allow replay movie? What I mean, sometimes I want to replay a movie but when it is in an other dir, I must browse and blah blah blah. It really annoys me.

What is this ROM so special? Why not original FDS?

How about posting on that cvrepertoire forum instead? Even David Wonn doesn't know how that trick work but guys from that forum seem to know. Anyway, I think it may be an hoax.

I noticed this happens if you don't wait until you see a mask floating up from the water before starting to play the movie.

The video is desyncing where I think is the final stage.
Did you use fast-forward or increased speed anywhere? The game will desync if the transition between levels runs too quickly. (Maybe you had speed limiting off and the encoding got a lot faster when the screen went black... EDIT: uh, if you were trying to encode it, that is. More likely you were just trying to watch it, so never mind about that.)
Yes, I was encoding it to AVI. I usually do that when people loves it so it saves my free time.

I was just wondering why, when you download a movie file for a random movie, that it is in a zip format? Couldn't this inherently lead to more problems (I remember recently downloading corrupt zip files, but that got fixed)?
So I wasn't alone. I knew it wasn't from my side.

Speed 1, 3 and 6 = 12. 12 and 25 are pretty similar but 12 is hardly noticeable slower.

Well, and?? It should not have that SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long delay. Since turbo and 1600% are the same speed, why not using 1600% for turbo? Imo, the turbo function is now a little clumsy.

Ok first thing I had noticed. When using turbo key and you release it, there's a delay. Wasn't there before. And the turbo key doesn't go as fast as FCEU can. 1600% speed is clearly faster. I will test other things later.

I have a suggestion to include in Fceu: Allow the user to put save states anywhere in the movie = It will allow people to show bugs or any suggestion to others and it can be an alternative way to prevent random desynchro. (When replaying the movie, it load every save at their frame)
This thing looks like chapters like in Zsnes though it won't prevent desync..

Does this bug still happen? I have never seen it but it might be fixed.
Yes, it happens yesterday when testing some things and I don't know what's causing this. Thinking of that, I have kept savestates and movie file when it already happens when doing Battletoads in case you want them.

Ah, I didn't know about that. What are those titles?
They are suprise, suprise Ogre Battle and March of the Black Queen from Queen2 album. There is also a sea in the game called Sea of Rhye which is taken from song named Seven seas of Rhye also from Queen2. The Ogre Battle2 is called Let us cling together which is also a Queen song. The main programmer is a huge fan of Queen. I posted this topic because I love Queen and today is Fredddie Mercurys deaths 14th anniversary I wanted to make some tribute and I would be really happy if someone could do a movie of this game!!
I can see you are a Queen fan but not an Ogre Battle fan so much. ;) The sea in Ogre Battle is called Rhyan Sea not Sea of Rhye. Ogre Battle 2 was never released. In fact Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen is the 5th in the series. What you called Ogre Battle2 aka Let us cling together is Tactics Ogre: Let us cling together and it is 7th in the series.

I don't think anyone intends to do this game. Someone was, but he hasn't posted any progress lately for the last 6 months or so. And it looks like nobody is interested in doing this, either. 'tis a pity, 'cause I would like to see a run of this game.
The guy is me and I didn't work on this game for about 1 year. I will work on Snes game when Zsnes will be more stable. Zsnes is better than Snes9x.

Yes, small optimizations in games are so hard to find, that's why it was so incredibly difficult for me to nitpick a lot of Quietust's Sonic 2 run to death. I'm sure Quietust would agree his contribution of actually playing the whole game was trivial, and pales in comparison to the monumentally difficult task I had of furnishing him with minor improvements on some of the levels.
So, is it lame or not? When reading this post you disagree with yourself.

Stop being frustrated xebra. He made improvements where you weren't able to. +I don't like your attitude of calling Phil a movie with small improvements here and there made by some lame guy. Do you know that those small improvements are harder to find? It is by far not lame. Imo, YOU ARE LAME.
