What's the point of pressing left or right when watching a movie? I am the actor, you are the spectator. Only me can press left or right if I wish.

I don't think I can do that with the software I'm currently using. (Bisqwit's way of thinking:) I'd have to create a program that filters the AVI and adds those subtitles graphically to it...
I could do that.

I would like to have extra subtitles with this movie. When I was creating the heavily blurred AVI, I was thinking something along the lines of "Locke's introduction", "Edgar's introduction" (scene labels) and some technique explanations ("Vicks and Vedge escape the battle quicker than the girl because they're in the front line. This way, the girl gets all the experience.")
I'll make the graphics for that; entirely in FF6 box style. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference between an in-game box and the one I'd give you. That is, if you want it and want to go ahead with that plan.
Interestings.

If you fall unconscious in a race 5 seconds before the goal (and it is noticed by the judges and the audience) but your car still crosses the goal line, does it count as a valid result? Yes and good comparison with movies that stop movie earlier. My SMB1 looks like that ;) If the car collapses 10 meters before the goal but a wheel of it crosses the goal line, does it count as a valid result? No and I don't understand the comparison with timeattacks.

Well then, opinions are splitted and I think a poll is needed.

A flying koopa at the start of 8-1 (though I think that it was a bit to far from the ledge to hit), and the goombas on the stairs in 8-2. Maybe also the mushroom (?) block at the end of 1-2 could have been hit. Still really good though.
The flying koopa was lower than in Michael and Mana's movie. So Mario could not reach the wall. Goombas on stairs!? Hmm I haven't tested it that much but at first, it seems to only slow down Mario because he hit the stairs. In my next version, I will test it a bit more. :) The mushroom (?) block at the end of 1-2. Due to some lag, 1 frame is lost when doing this but well, it surely doesn't care since that multiple of 21 thing makes the movie nor slower nor faster.

Long time I haven't said it's impossible to beat. The last time I said so was the Contra movie by Genisto. I was wrong and was lacking of timeattacks experience. Sometimes I say "hard to beat" or "almost impossible to beat" but it's not the same as impossible to beat. Anyway I never said my video is impossible to beat but to reach 4:59 or lower is impossible to achieve. To reach 4:49, you must do 44 frames faster than me and stop the movie earlier like in my video. 44 frames, it's a lot.

It sures is less sloppy than Mana's did, otherwise how could I be faster than him? Maybe the pipe at stage 1-1 is sloppy but was INTENTIONAL to collect points and it's NOT slower. Concretely, it looks sloppy but abstractedly, that's not the case since it was more clever to collect points when possible like I have read in Mana's SMB1 topic. When I think of somebody that does the same thing as me but only correct that 1-1 pipe and my video rejected or replaced because of that, makes me feel discouraged because I know it can't be faster except if someone could find an unknown bug which I highly doubt. A sub 5 minutes is probably impossible. In my opinion, it's impossible but I may be wrong. P.S. Anyway 5 minutes it's a nice number ;)

Personally, I am against that rule. I remember when I started doing timeattacks, the rule was to stop your movie at your last input. Spectators are not actors. I don't understand those maniacs that presses buttons when watching a movie. Btw, Castlevania 1 should be putted in the "Could be used in" section.

I thought people will prefer an high score run when we know it's not faster an "unsloppy" run.

In short, the wait time before the level is not a constant number of frames, but rounded towards the next frame number multiple of 21. If you complete the level 3 frames faster, the wait will be 3 frames longer unless you also broke the next 21-frame boundary. However, this doesn't change the fact that bumping against the pipe like that looks stupid.
But less stupid if the goal was earning more points.

If I say the pipe entrance in 1-1 is sloppy or not is equal!? In fact it is equal. Maybe I should explain how this game is programmed. Before, people thought that winning 1 firework is slower than waiting the counter to be 0 but that's not true. It's equal and even better because you can collect some free points. Here's how the game is programmed: Timeunits are stable and each of them last 24 frames. But the game in itself works with multiple of 21. At first, I thought it was related to timeunits but then judged it was not since 1 timeunit = 24 frames. But now, it's confirmed it IS related. To be clear, if you finish the stage at 240 and some other guy got 240 also but you know you were 3 frames faster. In fact, you are equal. The thing here is in your video, the castle, if you take a flag to finish the level, or the stats screen, if you use a warp zone to finish the stage will be showed 3 frames longer. So it's equal. So here's a "table" that indicates how this thing works. The first line start when the timeunits has just been changed. Since there's 24 frames in one timeunit, there will 24 possibilities. y = In theory, it's when there's no waiting for the casle to disappear or the stats screen. I don't know what's the real total of frames. Anyway, it doesn't matter. 1 frame: y+21 2nd frame: y+20 3: y+19 4: y+18 5: y+17 6: y+16 7: y+15 8: y+14 9: y+13 10: y+12 11: y+11 12: y+10 13: y+9 14: y+8 15: y+7 16: y+6 17: y+5 18: y+4 19: y+3 20: y+2 21: y+1 22: y 23: y-1 24: y-2 Well, I'm not sure if frame 23 and 24 are true. Maybe it's y+44 and y+43. I don't know since I haven't tested those frames. In conclusion, should it be sloppy or not, it's equal. I have already done a non-sloppy run at stage 1-1 and finished with less points and coins than this one.

If you tell me how to compile with Visual C++ compiler or any other compiler. I don't have any clue how to compile that source.

Since Final Burn Alpha supports rerecording, I don't see the reason to use winkawaks as main emulator.

The best way to win at tic-tac-toe, is not playing it. What I mean is your losing your time playing this game.
