It is caused by changing the resolution or the refresh rate. It happens often with recent 3D games.

To anyone who desire to give this a run for their money and create a time attack [I've actually done a speed run on this and it was just under 20 mins, and I know it can be improved greatly.] Go figure.. I posted this to Gamefaqs.. and they told me it simply copied other guides.. where as None of them are even remotely as accurate for Minimalism as mine is. They get you to do other UNNEEDED things!
There's some faqs on Gamefaqs that aren't that good. There's some games that need beter Faqs. Like Super Punch Out and I remember those miserable FAQS for Tactics Ogres. Track & Field on NES need a better FAQ too.

It may be logical that more controllers can cause this problem. So when a movie is higher than xxxx k, then this problem happen. I will know more when me and Genisto will do that Battletoads & Battlemainiacs movie.

Never had this problem with Super Castlevania 4. Btw I never had any problem with that emu compared to Famtasia that sucks too much. [Edit] It appears that I've got some problems with it. ;P

There's a bug in the game that makes your allies have the same stats as an ally from a previous game. For instance, if you get to the end with the suped-up Phoebe, reset, and start a new game, Kaeli (or whatever her name is) will have mega-high defense to damage, magic, and status ailments (check the status screen). This reverts to normal by saving and resetting. I could be wrong, but I think the bug carries over to all your allies, just as long as you don't save/reset. That might be something to abuse.
Wow what a nice bug. Btw it's true that Life is better than Heal. You can do 30000 HP damage on the final boss with it. ;)

Atma Weapon does damage based on HP, so in a speedrun (= low levels) it's useless.
If I remember correctly there's an item that higher HP. Muscle belt, I think it is.

You could do it but won't be published here. Not very interesting because it is too easy.

I have intention to timeattack this game. I'm pretty confident it can be done in 45 minutes or less. It requires a lot of planning, so if you have any suggestions, I'm waiting for them first. Personally, I think I will start the Hero with 3 slice attack from front and Iainuki from behind as abilities. Will try to obatin 2 undead staff and 2 Undead rings for having 2 Lich in the party. Try to obtain a wyrm as soon as possible. So the party will bet consisted of the Hero , a Wyrm (they are both in front) and 2 Lich from back. By killing bosses only and by taking the fastest path, it should be done fast.

is possible to put rerecording option on Kega Lazarus emulator? i'm waiting for MasterSystem rerecording :{
I think it will be better to have a VBA with rerecording first. Or, how about a N64 plugin that let you rerecord. Like modifying existing joypad plugin.

Invoker, try to re-install your emulator and start it. It should work now, don't ask me why...but that was my solution to it :). Edit: Before you re-install, could you please look up the size of your current SNES9x emulator? Is it at 1.622.016 bytes instead of 1.703.936 bytes?
I really don't know why you guys have problem, but I never had this problem and that Super Ghouls and Ghosts run is working more than fine with my emu that have this 1 703 936k size.

Downloading it as I type now, look forward to seeing some of it. If my comments were interpreted as negative, please don't take them that way. While many times were well done, there were some things that just appeared to be glaring errors, and in a site that you can quote is looking for perfection in video games, it just doesn't seem right to me. Once work finally fires me, I think I'll make a video though, I've got a rather large number of roms to chose from. I'll see if I can actually get one accepted.
What do you mean? You don't like our Super punch out run?

Really great work, a vast improvement over the initial submission. What's with the pausing, though?
Category "Abuses programming errors in the game" is selected because a pause glitch is used that let you hit opponent faster by lowering his guard faster or let your Special power to replenish while pausing. In other words, it's a special trick that let you do better times. :)
