Anyboy know a place where I can find good videos for this game? Especially for Super Machoman , Narcis Prince, Rick Bruiser and Nick Bruiser. Near the WR times not miserables movies.
I could upload these older movies (recorded with HyperCam): Super Machoman in 10"94 (+1"36) Narcis Prince in 10"11 (+1"53) Rick Bruiser in 11"33 (+0"24) Nick Bruiser in 09"15 (+0"44)
Never mind I actually found the good site for that. http://membres.lycos.fr/jarboo/IndexGB.html Btw Dragon Chan WR is beaten, Mr. Sandman is beaten and Super Machoman. Be patient my video will be the best you have ever seen. Btw those WR were made by savestates so they are not legit run.

Are you sure Piston is only a 6"26? I might be mistaken, but I have this vivid memory of my brother beating it faster....meh.
No we're talkin about Gabby Jay And Piston is 5"50.

Just searching for any ranking will give those numbers, the site I use actually has videos of similar times.
I have done Gabby Jay at 6"26 but maybe it is possible to do faster. Btw can you give me the link of your site?

Yes it is rejected. You've just said you can do a 3 minutes faster.

Gabby in 2sec. is BS, sorry but even with cheat codes it wouldn't be possible. There are some players that claim times of 5"9x or 4"9x for Piston but belive me or not that are all cheap fakes. 6"26 is maxed out, 2 pause tricks are used for it. Btw. I've edited the WR list in the post above, Rick can be beaten in 8"71 now for example ;) .
I'm pretty sure it can be faster than 6"26. Maybe I should try it myself. Edit. Btw what's your source for these records?

Woo, I just tried a 2-player speedrun of the first level.. it's very awkward, but I'm getting the hang of it I think. Single player time of first level - 63 seconds 2-player time of first level - 56 seconds Not much of a time difference, but in speedruns, those 7 seconds become a long time.
A 2 player alone or 2 real player?

Thx Deviance, OmegaFlareX and other people who think that's cool. It's true that it is our signature and it proves that it isn't "legit" run because this can be done only frame by frame. Btw do you know which one is real and which one is false!?! ;)

Yeah, I could do that.. but I don't know even how you can put on that harder difficulty... I only could improve my Normal runs like before. I know it's ok to enter codes that makes the game harder, but perhaps they can shave off couple of minutes from their run. Personally, I think Normal is enough to get a compact and _short_ run. That 2 min Elizabeth fight is just plain silly in a time attack. X)
The harder the game the better it is.

I agree with him but I thought in publishing it, some people will try to beat him. I have seen that Nick Bruiser can be beaten in 8.79 seconds at Twin Galaxies site. http://www.twingalaxies.com/index.aspx?c=22&g=Super+punch+out And Dragon Chan in 8.15 seconds. And in the ending sequence it is written that Bear Hugger can be beaten in under 17 seconds. So there's a lot of improvement to do.

Yeah, I just made a FINAL version of my run. 23:30 so... Phil suggested I used some specials to make it more faster and ...heck.. it turned up to be MUCH faster and imho better looking aswell.
Maybe it's your FINAL version but not the last. ;) It is improvable.

You forgot the UFO's scenario.

For the megalopolis building.. Would this be done on a random map or on the scenario map for megalopolis (the all-flatland with the Mario head forest)?
A randon map to receive gifts such as Casino, amusment park, Expo etc...

I understand why you need to use up all hearts, but it seems like you collect too many only to throw them away. Maybe it's just my personal taste, but I like to see unnecessary items ignored, such as bags of money or extra hearts. I guess it doesn't affect how fast you play the game, so the decision is yours.
How can we know exactly how much hearts it was needed for each stage? Anyway I prefer to see an animated character than a waiting the ball to appear character.

It's ok to destroy the City but it must beat the current record to create a Megalopolis as fast as possible in years and month. I don't know what's the world record. Someone can find it?

Is there an ending? If so it should be that way. All I know, I remember to manage a Megalopolis at ~540 000 people and they are happy at 85% with my job.

The inside-the-wall glitch in level 1 was cool, can't it be invoked anywhere else? Anyway good job.
No, it was the only place it is working.

I am curious about the collection of unnecessary items, such as money bags or extra hearts. Indeed, on some bosses you have to throw away holy water to use all the hearts. Why was this done?
Collecting bag of gold give points.Throwing away holy water to use all the hearts save us time.

Hi, another question: You seem to by quite sloppy in taking damage. I see that many times it's quite benefical in terms of time-saving (you get thrown a bit forward when hit), but many times you just take damage without any visible advantage, thus ending up with just one bar of energy (so I see that it's well planned none the less) where taking another hit may really get you forward faster.
Count on me that it saves time.
pilif wrote:
And then there are some boss-fights where you take damage (in level 7, if I remeber correctly). This could be avoided, I think.
It was in level 4. It could be avoided but it's faster being hitted.

Anyway: I never thought that the SNES is capable of doing that great graphics and sound. Impressive game indeed. I never had the luxury seeing it till now. And your run is great besides my small point - which actually is just a question instead of real critics. I'd never be capable of doing a comparable run. Philip
There's some sound problem with Snes9x but it's listenable. Thx
