Very nice! Now you only need to make sure that the current route for each track is correct.

One of the biggest reasons why this haven't been done yet is that Famtasia couldn't play the rom. Now that we have some better emulators, somebody should give it a try.

Hello everybody. I don't know if anyone remembers me anymore. I made the first published version of Excitebike a long time ago and have been inactive ever since due to my military service and a lot of other things. I've still had a little time to watch new TA-speedruns and I check this message board approximately once a month. Keep up the good work! I appreciate everybody who can speak foreign languages. I can speak: Finnish(native), English, Swedish I can read: German, Estonian I know a little: Spanish, Japanese I want to learn: Chinese(Mandarin) (Planning to move to Beijing for a year)

Quake 3 Arena Full game completion on Nightmare mode.. Still haunts me. I used to play Q3A a lot a few years ago and I beat everything on nightmare with ease. If I remember it correctly, there is a video of 10-year-old kid beating xaero 10-0.

There is no reset code for this game. So I guess there is no way to make a movie of playing all the levels with 100 points since you can't play the final extra level, right?

If you finish the final stage(Bowser's castle) with 100 points, can you play the final "secret" level without reseting the game? If I remember it correctly, you can't. Correct me if I am wrong.

I would like to see someone finishing 9-5 with no pieces left on the screen. That sounds very difficult, but I think it can be done.

My work takes 10 hours of my day and I have a life so I don't have time for time attacking right now. In 3 weeks I am going to study again so I can play 24:7 then and I am going to use some of that time for time attacks. I have a short list of games I am going to do but I am not going to publish it. In Excitebike, I have only tried levels 1,2(only 2 times for testing purpose) and 5, so I don't know the game very well. I managed to beat the WR of level 5 by 15 seconds, but I only used save states then and didn't record it. I think it was more interesting than the first track because there were more jumps. I will consider making the other tracks for this game, but there are a few problems: 1. Same levels are repeated after I have beaten them in Mode A and they only have few little changes (eg. more dirt on the track) that mostly doesn't slow me down so the tracks would be similar. 2. If I find something new for the previous track while playing the following one, I find there no easy way to cut-paste the levels so that they match each other. 3. There are more problems but I don't remember them anymore... So the problems are easily solved, but they are still problems. Mode B can also be possible, but I can't aim for the perfect time so easily then.

The 12th Monopoly World Championship will be held in Tokyo 7th-11th October. But I guess all the national qualifications has bee held already... Yout strategy sounds good. (I don't know the names of the US version too well so I can't be sure.) Good luck with your try.

http://www.worldcybergames.com/ There are some demos for Starcraft: Broodwar I guess you need the game to replay them. This is more accurate URL, but I don't know if it works : http://www.worldcybergames.com/tournament/tr_2003_replayfiles.asp

20 You think the average might be a little higher than first predicted? Of course it is higher. I have heard that most of the gamers are 20-30 years old and since NES, SNES and others are old things I think the average is around 23.

Wow. That is very good time since the best time with emulator+slowmo+rerecords is 10:54 (The Japanese version is a little bit slower of course) Good Job.

I noticed that when the constantly shrinking square is near it's smallest size the hand will grab you. Wait until the square disappears completely before you try to pass them. Does it really work?

In some games one level per month doesn't work because of the continuation problem of the next level. The next level can be done faster if you do the previous one slower. This is a good idea still and what I propose is that there should be awards for the monthly challenges eg POM (The Player of The Month) and it should be given to player who wins the challenge regardless of if someone else beats his time afterwards. POMs would be listed on Bisqwit's site just like Mario Kart - Double Dash Awards are listed. I guess this would bring more activity. And of course the winning movie would be published on Bisqwit's site.

I don't have publishing rights but IMHO it would be good if it was allowed since we have so many good games that doesn't work with famtasia. My personal favorite is Nintendo World Championship. What about other NES emulators? FCE Ultra?

My first try and it was 3'33''51 I run out of fuel before the last straight part of the race and lost there a few (maybe 3) seconds. I also started the race from the 20th position so I lost there a few seconds compared to Phil who started from the pole position. I'll try again soon but this time from the pole position...

Good to hear. I hope it has mapper 105(famtasia didn't have) so we can compete in Nintendo World Championship - rom, which has 3 games in it: SMB, Rad Racer, Tetris and it has some kind of scoring system that determines the winner. It was used in Nintendo World Championship in 1990.

http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=367 There has been some discussion before about hacking famtasia again to display time, but I don't know if there is any effort on it anymore.

I just tested playing top gear with snes9x and it was a lot of harder than with real snes. It would be good that someone could offer here a savestate at the beginning of the Bordeaux, which is the third race of France. I have one but I can't share it because I don't have any place to upload it right now. For those who don't know, you can of course play Bordeuax by selecting the championship level and inserting password "keelson" at the select country section for the UK and then selecting France. I assume it is allowed to use the 2nd player to help to get a better time: In the race before the Bordeaux the first player can finish 20th to get the pole position for the Bordeaux while the 2nd player finishes top 5 to qualify to Bordeaux. The second player can also boost the first player with his nitroes, but that is very difficult with emulator because at least my computer allows only 4 key presses at the same time, which sucks badly. I don't know if it easy to play with a gamepad. If the second player option is allowed then it would be good that someone shared a savestate for the pole position. I don't know how to use slowdown on snes9x but fortunately I have a program that slows down my computer and it seems to work greatly. I can share that program if someone is interested. ps. I will try this one today.

Anyway, speaking of Mickey Mousecapade, did it look cool how I killed and shot so many things, or would it have looked better if I just walked passed all the stuff? IMHO shooting is absolutely better. If you just pass enemies and other stuff the movie looks a little naked or something.

1. Quake2 (PC) 2. Quake3Arena (PC) 3. Age of Empires2: The Expansion Set (PC) 4. Tetris (Ti-86) 5. Super Mario Bros (NES) 6. Top Gear (SNES) 7. NHL95 (SNES) 8. Minesweeper (PC) 9. Super Off-Road (NES) 10. Igo Meikan (NES) There are a lot of games I am good at. These are just examples and I don't know if I have the most skill at them. I used to play Quake games a lot and usually was at the top of the scoreboard. I have beat all of my console games except Swords&Serpents (NES)(not because it is too difficult but because my keen on it usually disappears when I am at the floor 13/15.)
