Make sure you close dolphin and reopen it before trying to start recording, or playback.

That is definitely not allowed, if you want it published on tasvideos. Just use save states to avoid playing back from the start...

Seriously? It syncs with 3.0? That is...interesting. Regardless, there is no need to make sure it syncs with 3.0. 3.0 is terrible, and you should just pretend it doesn't exist. Memory card changes are not recorded, by the way. Just let me know when you need the disc change, and i'll get you a build with it. Also, i no longer go by the name rog, so if you could not call me that anymore, i'd really appreciate it!

I'm using an unofficial version; 3.0-371, cause it has the playback from savestate fix in it. Nothing but 3.0 will sync on 3.0. Sync changes every other revision. As for disc swapping, i already stated that i could backport that feature to the version you are using.

Syncs fine with the build provided. Good luck encoding it though, since i don't have the source for it anymore (actually it probably syncs fine with this, but not sure). It's not bad overall. Most of the things i mentioned before don't really cost that much time. And someone who hasn't tased this game before is not likely to even notice. I would not object to publishing this, but i would love to see an improvement.

Just finished watching 1-2, and...i don't like what i see at all. It's very obvious this was done without ram watch. You frequently run down slopes that should be jumped over, or jump overs ones you should not. You held the beams all the right right when it is fastest to just put them one tick to the right, etc. I'm glad to see people tasing with dolphin, but it's a shame to see this submitted when it could be a lot better.

What's the revision number of the build you're using? It's listed in the about menu towards the top. And yes you can use a hex editor. Just set the second byte to 0x20 (32 in decimal).

http://pastie.org/5628393 should do what you need. You'll have to hex the movie though, since it doesn't record mc changes. It'll be bit 6 of the second byte of the controller data. I can compile a build for you if you need, just let me know if you need 32 or 64 bit. Keep in mind, you're movie will be unplayable without this patch (or i guess someone could just manually connect the mc during the credits, but who wants to do that?).

Oh.. Is it not possible to hex the start to include a memory card? If not, i can hack something up for you, but if you can hex it, that'd be the best option. Also, next time don't start a tas without planning everything out, and testing the route!
