It doesn't seem to be working, but I may be installing it wrong. What do I do with the .dmg file, if anything?
EDIT: Never mind, I'm an idiot and it does work. Thanks!

but I'm not sure if it's actually recording at all.
It should be. The bongos are treated like a regular controller. It couldn't be recorded before because the check for active controllers when starting recording wasn't looking for bongos. This appears to fix it entirely.
Curious question though - if I found out that the "controller mode" is actually superior TAS-wise to "bongos mode", would it be better to go with "controller mode" despite it being the inferior actual gameplay option? Because it could turn out that way since inputs are different. I've actually saved 31 frames in the whole intro segment with "bongos mode", but the jumping mechanics are radically different and I haven't gotten far enough to see how much it changes the first actual level. I personally would rather go with bongos no matter what, but if it would prevent a run from being published, then I'd like to know early so I don't make a whole lot of a run and then have to redo it for a completely preventable reason.
if you're aiming to finish as fast as possible, then use whatever is faster. Using bongos if they are slower could certainly make it harder to get it published, but it's not going to automatically get your run denied.
Builds of the above commit can be found at http://dl.dolphin-emu.org/builds/ . Do let me know how it works.

If you don't have your own webspace to store the avatars on, Dropbox is your best bet.
I don't see how Dropbox will get you mood avatar to work, every single file or image link address is TOTALLY different and you can't control / change it.

Yeah, none of those things matter at all. Half of the problem settings cannot even be used for tasing, and it's not like changing a couple of settings is hard. The only obstacle here is wiimote recording.

Actually it wouldn't be quite so easy.
Right now, the theoretical limit is 18,446,744,073,709,551,615 frames, since frame count is stored as 64 bit unsigned int. This could easily be changed to any arbitrary size, but then there's another problem: the entire movie is stored in ram (also your hdd...) uncompressed. That would need to be changed if you wanted to go over a few billion frames.
So try to keep your movies shorter than a billion or two frames.

The language forums too. They currently have 3 different descriptions:
A place to discuss TASing in Russian language.
A place for users to discuss TASing in Japanese language.
A place for users whose native language is Swedish to discuss TASing.

Awesome. Of note, the rupee route still needs to be figured out though. There's tons of rupees we can get without wasting much/any time, but i doubt we can get enough without wasting any at all.
There's a lot of places where we are running around as wolf, where we can just do a jump attack through grass, and get a couple of blue rupees, but then we'd probably have to get text for it once (it'd probably take longer to repeatedly sidehop through them). It is possible to attack some grass, get a rupee drop, and get the rupee, all in one jump.
