I already did, minus a/v hack, which i will get around to eventually (the patches don't apply anymore). You could bug natt to do it, otherwise i'm lazy and probably won't do it until i need to :(

Are you able to lja bit in the forest temple without buffering? It should be doable on console.
No.
Also it's really confusing when you say things like "bite can be done from the forest temple" when you mean that you can perform the bit for bite in the forest temple.
Sorry.

EuRGB60 option apparently does something (i have no idea what), which can affect sync for ntsc games. If anyone is tasing ntsc wii games, you should probably turn it off.

I disagree to record a ps2 emulator the "F12" button does the recording with lag obviously but it won't in final playback. Yes there isn't a fully functional way but I was talking about the recording part of it.
I specifically said rerecording. Obviously you can dump audio and video.

Starting with 3.0-678, more-save-fixes and tas-input are merged to master. It's now safe to use that.

At a guess? He could be playing with minimal save states, and recording video for everything, and splicing it together. I know this has been done for ps2 games before. It works ok if you just want a video to post on youtube, but breaks at least a 100 different tasvideos rules, and also makes it impossible to optimize to the level that is really required for a good tas.

Ps2 tases are not going to happen anytime soon. By the way, tasing really isn't terribly hard, if you're willing to work at it. The hardest thing involved is typically having the patience to actually make sure everything is done well.

1) there's a widescreen hack in dolphin, but it blurs the hell out of any water, making it useless for tp :( 2) that would be the horrible play. I also missed a ledge when jumping across the pillars in the misty area, and had to climb up. Neither of these were necessary, i just didn't feel like luck manipulating the spiders, or getting the jump perfect, but i did still want to include them. 3) of course. 4) The kind that tells you to go beat the forest temple, and sends you back. With this route, we're probably talking 2-3 minutes faster at best. However, it's already changed in a few places. 1) bite can be done from forest temple. Since we save here anyway, it's the fastest place to do it, since you can just turn around, lja over the load zone and bit. This would save around 30 seconds i believe. 2) Logi timed it out to be faster to clear the twilight than to skip it. This is terrible because the route is significantly less awesome. I'm going to time it out myself to make sure, since a lot of his timings don't apply to tas (there are a lot of extra load screens if you skip clearing twilight, which are much faster on dolphin). 3) apparently if you get ooccoo in one dungeon and don't use it, you can use it in another dungeon. With that, we can get ooccoo in forest temple, which takes an extra 10 seconds or so to get to, but allows us to warp out immediately on the second trip to lakebed, saving ~1:30.

New, possibly final route: Normal route up to EMS, skip bugs forest temple to boomerang save reset escape twilight Kill messengers in kakariko gorge, and warp back to faron escape twilight rupee dive to lakebed save reset start a new game, and bite kill bulblin clear eldin twilight warp to faron escape twilight for a third time rupee dive to lakebed again get ooccoo and leave clear lanayru twilight steal bomb bag, and continue with previous route As far as i can tell, this seems to be the only working route. Everything else either dead ends, or doesn't make any sense. It wastes a bunch of time running all over the place, but it's the only way to beat the game, and still saves a ton of time. I'm currently working on a test run, which is up to starting eldin twilight. I'll post an encode once it's done (might be a week). If anyone wants the .dtm before then, just ask.

No, his patch applies to that revision just fine. As far as i know, he is not working on fixing it for the later revisions.

Natt's patch needs to be updated for the more recent revisions. You can either bug him to do that, or i'll get around to it eventually.

I have never gotten a crash in nsmb =/ Also, you've tried playing back from the start? Because it usually syncs fine with read only, but desyncs constantly when played from the start.
Uhmmm. I'm trying to use revision .617 to record a TAS on the game, but the replay keeps on crashing on the first input. Any advice? switch back to .516?
Check the main dolphin thread.

Hello, welcome to tasvideos. I wish i could help you, but unfortunately it does not appear that you understand English very well, so that may be difficult. We do have a number of people around here who speak French though, so i encourage you to ask any questions you have in French, either here or over in the French forum. I'm sure someone will be able to assist you better than i could.

May i ask why you need to start a new file? it's got me even more interested in this run then i was before
For BiTE. It requires jumping into a void, and since i was planning to do it as soon as i entered lakebed, the fastest place to do it would be to start a new game. Since i'm retarded and that doesn't work, and i need to reload the game after saving in lakebed anyway, it's probably faster to just warp out and do it elsewhere. I'll need to test that.

It only skips the faron bugs. All the others still need to be done. It's definitely a nice change though, especially with the forest temple boss skip. And now i'm curious if any other tas quits the game and starts a brand new file in the middle of the run.

On a real console, you can push a button so fast the console won't register it—that wouldn't happen on the emulator.
Er, yes it does?
Obviously, this is a faster run and a great improvement. But something is missing in this run. Entertainment. I, personally, prefer a longer, but entertaining run, than a faster, but boring as fuck one. Voting No.
Have you watched the previous run? It spends more time loading, saving, and resetting repeatedly, over and over again than this run even lasts. While this is definitely boring, it's way less than the the previous published movie.

Movie sync has changed over 9000 times in the last few hundred revisions. Unless there is a specific problem in 508, i would continue using that for now. There is not really much new after that yet anyway.

That would be save data, and you need to manually delete it each time you start recording/playback (use a .bat to make that easier).
