Right, that is a fair point. Laptops are extremely useful for this reason. I don't know what i'd do without mine.
The question though, is do you really need to carry that kind of performance around with you? Because for the same price you could have gotten a significantly better desktop, as well as a cheap laptop.

What about cpu intensive things, like i don't know, emulation?
If performance on these things isn't that important to you, then you grossly overspent. If it is, then you'd be far better off with a desktop.

Sure it does. I was pointing out that your timing is not just wrong, it's laughably wrong. This prevents people that don't know better from thinking you know wtf you're talking about. I'd say that adds value.

"whta" isn't a spelling problem, it's a typing problem.
But yes, i was quite astonished by your ignorance. Like, literally everything you said is not just not true, but the opposite is.
And surprise is definitely not the emotion my avatar is meant to convey.

So if you worry about overheating, you might want to get a laptop.
HOLY SHIT, this is so wrong, i don't even know whta to say. Laptops get absurdly hot. My laptop can hit almost 90C at full load. A desktop with decent cooling would never get that hot, even if you literally never cleaned it.
And if you like upgrading your computer, you might also want to get a laptop, because they're easier to upgrade. You just have to open a small hatch under the computer to put in some more RAM, kinda like switching a new SD card into your camera. But on a desktop computer, when you're upgrading RAM, you'll risk destroying expensive parts, like your GTX 690, because of static electricity. That's another reason desktop computers can get expensive. That's 1000$ lost in a few seconds. If you would lose 1000$ in every minute, that would already be 60000$ in an hour.
What the fuck is wrong with you? Laptops are typically impossible to upgrade at all, except for ram and hdd. And you have to be retarded to destroy anything when switching some ram sticks.

If you don't have a monitor, or speakers, then it's posisble (still not too likely though) that the cheapest laptop would be cheaper than the cheapest desktop. However if you want more horsepower than is needed to check your email and play farmville, then desktops can be 2-3x cheaper for the same performance.

I'll pick up a tablet PC as my portable computer and leave my laptop at home most of the time.
Sounds like you should have got a desktop.
I hate people who buy overpriced crap like this when they could have just got a $600 desktop with better performance, and then plan to not even take it anywhere.

This is an awesome boss to tas. This is my first attempt at it, and i'm pretty sure i need to completely change my strategy, but it still looks awesome.

Is it in bad conscience to pretend the emulation bug that auto-completes the Serena Beach level doesn't happen and just complete the level like batora does?
He clearly made it within the time limit and talked to the guy at the right time like he should when cleaning everything.
If that isn't something that can be hand waved, would it be impossible to simply use the same input that was used to complete the bugged level to complete the level again when the emulator can properly display it?
If you make sure it'll sync, or would sync if the bug wasn't there, i don't see why that would be a problem. Also, wasn't this fixed?

I didn't read the subtitles. They were impossble to read without pausing, let alone without missing every single thing that happened, so i ignored them.
And that is true only in the sense that ganon is also known as gannon.

I am outraged that this was accepted! It is clear that ringrush deliberately submitted this movie just to fuck with tasvideos. See when you read his description of his submission, his reasoning sounds fairly ok, right? Well, no, it turns out the entire thing is fake.
This whole "April fools" and other bullshit reasons is simply put, bullshit. This run goes against the very foundation of this site. If this was meant to be a joke, then he took it way too far. This should have been canceled or at least explained a month ago. That he let a judge waste his time on this garbage is despicable.
I urge the staff of Tasvideos to be brave. This man deliberately broke the rules, just to mess with the site because of his childish attitude and refusing to understand that TASvideos is serious business, and not the place for tomfoolery. Ringrush should be banned for the irreparable damage he has done to this site's honor.

I didn't really want to vote yes anyway.
Unlike smb though, it's definitely right on the border. I'm ok with this being published, but i don't think it should be. I don't really have any strong feelings on way or the other on this. It's interesting, but not particularly. It's certainly not boring the way the smb run was, but i'm not sure that's enough to be published.
Honestly, i probably would have voted meh regardless of the improvements. When i first watched it i was intending to not vote at all, but i was still leaning a little closer to meh than yes. When i saw there were already known improvements, it just made it an easier decision. I can't say for sure i would not have voted yes if not for the known improvements, but i don't think i would have.
Again though, this is an interesting concept. It's definitely nice seeing it done with a game that isn't as terribly suited for it as smb. If the next game we see an MP tas of is any more interesting than this, i'll gladly vote yes on it.
