Just saved 1428 frames on boss 2. Total time was 2:01.95. And oh god, it was terrible. Half the time is spent hitting one at a time, or chasing them around. Their movement doesn't appear to be random, so i don't know that that can really be improved much, but ugh... Link to video Thoughts? How much would you guys hate me for moving on with this?

http://forums.dolphin-emulator.com/showthread.php?tid=17578 Seems to work, though endianness is still a problem. edit: 3 seconds with google found a way to get big endian values in CE. How is it that no one figured this stuff out before?

If you watch in the video, after i exit the name entry screen, it gives me a whole bunch of hero points. It still advances to chapter 16, gives me 200k hero points, and various upgrades, like it is supposed to.

It's a glitch, that involves using a cheat. The password still does what it's supposed to do, it just also triggers the credits.

lol, no. Most of the stuff Freud came up with was nonsense. He definitely played an important roll in psychology's history, but not because his theories were valid. If there is only one thing most people know about psychology, it is Freud. Many people seem to think Freud is the einstein of psychology, but as any psychologist will tell you, it's just no true.

So does this mean videos uploaded through this are not re-encoded by YouTube, so there won't be any loss of video or audio quality in YouTube encodes?

That's it? It doesn't bypass YouTube's annoying re-encoding, reduce the time the video takes to upload or process, or anything like that?
No.
Then how does this program improve on the official YouTube uploader (besides large file support and resumable uploading)?
Probably by not being a complete piece of a shit, but i haven't tried it, so i can't say for sure. I believe the main reason he wrote this was to allow publishers to upload videos to the new tasvideo channel though.

Mac builds can't be compiled in the same way using the same compiler that's used for Windows builds? Does that mean you would have to compile the Mac build on a Mac to create a usable build?
No. You might be able to compile it on windows, but it would be significantly more complicated than just compiling it on a mac. I don't have the slightest idea how to do such a thing though, and i have no interest in learning. I could provide a patch to merge the tas-input to master, but beyond that, if anyone wants a mac version, they'll need to compile it themselves.

I don't have the slightest idea of how to compile for mac, especially since i don't have one.

...What I mean is, would it be possible for this video, if completed, to replace the existing SRAM-verification file for Momohime-mode? I assume the exact contents of the original save file, when saving to the second on Momohime, wouldn't affect luck or timing in the run itself (though with some games, you never know), so long as it meets the condition to unlock Shigarui.
That's possible i guess.
Also, the rules now clearly say not to if it doesn't make any real difference.
...Which is rather inconsistent, as the rules ALSO suggest using the hardest difficulty, and we have runs that use SRAM for the sole purpose of enabling said difficulty.
In this case though, the hardest difficulty is nearly identical to an easier one.

And in response to "hurr durr I read misogynistic literature so I know more about gender equality than you do", are you familiar with a "false sense of objectivity", particularly the parts about feeling the need to give equal weight to both sides when one is clearly truthful and the other is false (usually applies to discussions of evolution v. creationism or climate science).
Not sure why you think everyone against feminism is a misogynist. I mean, even by your definition of feminism, you can't rule out that they don't just want to discriminate against men. That you assume someone who is against feminism hates women makes it very clear you do not actually think feminism is simply about gender equality. Which brings us to the real reason people are against feminism.

lsnes is an extremely accurate emulator, so that's why it is preferred. Unfortunately it is also very slow, which is why (among other reasons) many people don't like it. If you don't mind that, you should use lsnes. If it becomes a significant problem, you may wish to switch to snes9x. lsnes can be found here .

That dang centipede... I've fought it half a dozen times and still can't figure out exactly what the best way to fight it is. x.x Though it looks like you've got a good system going for it.
Well the strategy is easy enough. I just want to hit as many segments per swing as possible, and spam quick draw. Ideally, i also want them to stay together more often, and kill them all at once. I spend a lot of time at the end here only hitting one, i definitely want to avoid this. I also want to make sure i always hit at least 2-3 segments per centipede, per swing, something i put no effort into ensuring before.
I notice that this run is done from clear SRAM (no Shigarui). Is your intent to use this run to create a verification file for the Momohime run?
Er, what? I did the verification movie for my momohime run before i even started it. It wouldn't have been published otherwise. There was a bunch of drama about starting from sram though last time, and nach said not to do it again. Also, the rules now clearly say not to if it doesn't make any real difference.

Suck it up rog and do whatever is necessary.
:\ I wasn't really intending to do kisuke. The only reason i'm doing it at all is because TP runs too slow to be done effectively on my computer, and wiimote recording doesn't work. This run is going to be a lot less interesting than momohime was, with shittier routes (have fun watching an hour of running right) and boring bosses. And this boss...i could probably spend a year on it, and still be able to improve it further. It's really a terrible, terrible boss to tas. I don't know how much i really care to keep doing it.
By the way, what's with the green line to the right?
Youtube being youtube.

You need to move the camera at a specific time to stop the timer. After that, you can stand around all day, and nothing will happen, so you can open the door whenever you want. You do need to be a certain position when you open the door though.

My improvement that merely ends input early has become a voting issue?
I did not realize that's all it was. Nvm then, my yes vote still stands.

Link to video Second boss is interesting, which starts at 11:15. Includes a 2k+ combo. I don't even know if i want to do this run now though. This fight will be impossible to optimize. At a guess, i'd say probably 20-30 seconds can come off of this fight time.
