Yeah, i know, it was fixed last month i think. We won't be restarting to make use of it though.
We hadn't been working on this for a while now, but we started to again a few days ago.

If you're using the latest version, this is probably best reported on their Google Code bug tracker, while some devs are registered here, they don't visit all that often.

I personally think that if I used Japanese text, no one would be able to read it(other than our Japanese folks of course). I can always buy a Japanese copy, But that's gonna take days! I know we can probably remember text, but what's the fun in that? :P
Actually much more people would be able to read it. Check view counts of tases on nico vs youtube.

Thanks ! It works very well ! (finally got an encode with good video and audio !)
I do have a problem though, Dolphin crashes everytime it tries to create "framedump1" (so every 2gb I guess), I'm using lagarith codec since I don't really know any other. Any idea why ?
(I can still create video encode using the non-a/v hack version and then audio with this one, I just want to try to get everything in the same Dolphin)
Yeah, there is a known issue with Dolphin and dumps. I would suggest using Pipedec in that case.
Using x264 vfw and outputting to a separate file also avoids the issue.

Can you confirm whether or not, as I said on the bug tracker, you can get multiple outcomes with the same dtm (doesn't matter whether it completes the level or not, just whether the outcome is different) without changing any settings at all in between, and with all of the dangerous options set correctly in both the general and game-specific settings dialogs?
Your post seems to imply that you can, but it's unclear to me why you're fiddling with settings so I must ask.
I tried playing back the dtm myself; the result depended on the settings (MMU), but it was completely consistent between the two copies of Dolphin I was running, even though there was heavy load, conditions likely to induce indeterminism.
(And yes, Dolphin should be more user friendly; it should warn you if there is a possibility of desync, and all relevant settings should be synced with the movie file. But that's lower priority.)
The first time i played it, it synced, then every time after, it desynced in exactly the same way (presumably the same way as alec).

It doesn't desync, it just does some really strange things that sure look like a desync after the baby, for quite a long time. It does eventually complete though.

Civilization is big on cheating at higher difficulties. Ships will cross an entire ocean in one turn, wonders build instantly, they know where everything is, etc.

It's worth a try, right? If it doesn't work, you can always publish with the existing A/V sync build from the submission text (and leave the Punies unfixed).
Exciting that this is finally getting published though!
Good point. It will slow things down a bit of course (I could have started the dump tonight using the avsync build), but that's nothing compared to the amount of time you guys spent on it.
Does anyone know the exact git revision that the AVSync build was created from?
