2:28 = We found out that NOT killing the enemies below change the luck manipulation for the boss, Moth tried doing it, but then we loose more frames than saved manipulating the boss by delying dialogue.
3:58 = It's optimized as far as i know.
4:44 = Effectively.
I think you could improve it a bit, in chapter1, before rescuing Eirika, trade all his weapons to her, so he won't counter during EP, then before dropping Eirika, trade all weapons to him.
One last question before you submit (i haven't seen your wips btw).
Have you tested about not using Agni against Tyr (human form), it probably saves some time, because of one less cutscene.
EDIT: And i think she have way more less HP.
I disagree, the GBA version is like an "easy" version of the SNES version, i care shit about the money glitch, but i dislike the TASer to use an "easy" difficulty.
I did this run for fun: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3uRWfEYiGxo
Mothrayas found the adress that stores the stage, thanks to him, i could force it to enter the intro stage using Zero (wich he isn't normaly able to get in), as for the run, it is sub-optimal, because i didn't feel like optimizing Yammark's position so i can SDC the first 2 and the last balls. As for the giga attack, i used it and stopped movie replay after it.
Well, to tell the truth, im also working on it, and im in the same stage as you, and im saving 128 frames.
I also got a desync on the beggining of Neo Arcadia Shrine, probably you are using an old version of VBA.
Thanks, p4wn3r, for the temporary encode!
Comparing this run to the published run, although this run is faster, I gotta say I like the published run more entertainment-wise. In this run, the first fight against Commander Yammark doesn't have that ridiculously fast SDC. It's annoying to see Infinity Mijinion played twice in a row (even though Illumina is cool). And in this run, it seems that X takes a lot more damage fighting High Max for the second time, which makes the dodging less impressive.
However, there were some other nice touches to this run, like the refights against Heatnix and Scaravich. Also, I like the menu-switching to the music in an autoscroller of Gate 1. Yes vote.
Yeah, i aswell dislike going to Mijinion's stage twice, but this is the fastest way to beat the game, and speed > entertainment, and idk, but i think that the Yammark fight looks more entertaining than SDC (have a long time seeing the same thing).
After i saw this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ka1m52UIf3s
I wanted to TAS this game under a new category, but later i thuoght myself that it would be realy boring to see X X-Busting every boss. Does anyone feels like me?
NOTE: This is PSX and SS exclusive
Just let's forget about that idea, for the 100%, i think that the route involves on going the secondary area of inami temple to get zero and hyper dash, and therefore, beat every investigator without going to any secondary areas, avoiding a fight with High Max.
X should at least get Hyper Dash so he can be used in Gate 2.
Hmm, probably that 2Turn strategy is faster, since one more turn means lots of units running wild and attacking. As for restarting, i think that you should probably go on, and maybe you can find more improvements forward, but that is your choosing of course.
Another improvement you have to know, is that you can skip from the intro to the menu instantly, by pressing (ASAP) A, B, L and R, and in the next frame press Start and hold the 5 butons until you get to the menu.
NOTE that i tried this with FE7 and with FE8 FEGirl hackrom, but the system should be the same with these 3 games.
Actualy, FractalFusion made a route for a TAS, but most of us X6 TASers declined this idea, because of the simple fact of facing Dynamo 6 times (or either sucide 6-7 times).
I'll vote No because of all the cutscenes you could have skipped with the Start button. I didn't watch the whole thing, so feel free to disqualify my vote mods ;)
Dude, at least ask before voting like that -_-
As for the TAS, looks great dude, liked that climbing section using Model H. Yes Vote
