about the initials: i didn't stop it because if I would the name would dissapear. I let the edit button off so that the name is longer time readable. If you don't press any keys after the movie stoped the name will be edited by itself. Ok i know that you should stop this movie after the last hit, but I really wanted to sign my name there because I do it to all movies where this is possible since Im a moviemaker for the best games on snes. I guess we need 1 topic for the best fighting game on SNES. After my not so successfull Feilong movie I record a guaranteed much better Ken version. I do it my 6th day with already more than 3000 rerecords and about 2 hours for one opponent to plan and try finding the most impressed way to beat him. Every fight is different with unbelievable combos. I already beated Vega so there are 2 opponents left. I hope if all goes well I will be done in about 2-3 days depends how much time I have. All who are planning to make a ssf2 run are welcome to post there progress here.

In SF2 World Warrior maybe not, but I think Super Street Fighter 2 has more moves and combos you can do. I disagree that Zangief is the easiest character to beat as CPU. As I had nothing to do some years ago I made a tournament of all 16 CPU Fighters on 8 Stars playing against each other. Every Character done 15 fights (against all except himself) in VS mode switched with 1st and 2nd player side balanced. Josh you're right. Gief is even in ssf2 the best trapper of all characters, if he got you in the corner its almost impossible to escape since his pile driver has the by far best reach of all and combinated with a mid kick or punch (no matter if opponent blocks or not) he gets you everytime. Your movie is good shakespere but i will release a Ken version soon that will have even more combos that are almost nearly impossible. I work my 3rd day on this movie beated 6 opponents with already more than 2000 rerecords!!!

Some things to say here: 1. the Final score is not as high as Fei Long version (1.618.700 vs 1.762.600) 2. the movie time is faster because you stoped the recording right after the last hit, not after the full end-szenario and the credits 3. I will do a Ken-version with more combos like sprintGod is requesting soon

At least 3 hours if you do pure time attack I guess, but if doing like my style on 100% of all collected, all sidequests done etc. then it will be 3,5 till 4 hours or so. Remember you can save very much time compared to chrono trigger in battles since you can hit the enemies directly and don't have to wait until the attack-gauge loads. this saves about 10% of the game time in my opinion. If you never played Terranigma through I strongly recommend it, since for me it is on the same level with chrono trigger and final fantasy 6, the story is awesome (resurrecting the world). Its just not that popular in america since it was only released in japan and europe.

Secret of Evermore was my first RPG game I played, so its a very special game for me. I'm a Secret of Evermore expert and I made a complete and perfect walkthrough of this game on www.zophar.net/zsnes/zmv but I still have something to clear: There is one ingredient called "Dry Ice". This is the only ingredient you can't buy over and over. My biggest goal in this game in the 90's was to find a way to get or buy this ingredient continually (to level up the Call Bead formula) but without luck. There are rumors that a alchemist is hiding in Professor's Lab. Someone submitted this hint: "Once you reach any experience level that is a multiple of 5, go to the professor's lab (in omnitopia.) Go all the way to the left wall and walk straight up without stopping. A cat will appear (just like at the start of the game). The dog will chase the cat and an alchemist will find the dog and bring him back to the lab. He will see you Dry Ice - 12,000 credits for 5." I tried everything out all levels, all variations, all game-versions but without success. This submission must be a fake. BUT: After I have used the walk-through wall code, and walked straight up through the wall in the lab (like in the submission) the characters (Boy and Dog) have dissapeared on one point of the black location just behind the wall. But as I went further they reapeared again. That means something is programed in this small field (maybe really the alchemist who sells Dry Ice and should come out of this place). But as I said nothing happen here. Has anybody anywhere something to say about this still undiscovered secret that makes this game so special? Any hints, suggestions or whatever to make a sure "Yes or No" to the question "is it possible to get dry ice in the game"?

thanks nitsuja, I tested the recording on the japanese version (Tenchi Souzou) and it was the same error if turbo is activated. So its not the case of Pal system. I also tested your recommended setting but as you said it's the same. And about watching without turbo: Who want to watch a 3-4 hours movie without turbo??? For example after you complete a tower in underworld and there is a 2 min szenario after every tower you can't do anything... very sad thing without a solution until this bug is fixed... and this to a top 5 game on snes...

well, that was my first snes9x movie-recording at all and I don't used any recording tools like slowdown or rerecord at all so thats why I made this mistaked. I will do a improved version with the tools since i know them now as soon as I can.

I want to make a 100% time-attack walkthrough of Terranigma on Snes9x 1.43 WIP1 Emulator. But the problem is Terranigma exists to my knowledge only in PAL not on NTSC. I have started to record this game from reset but as many times I tried eveything to do (rerecords, slowdown variations and so on) to movie got desync after some seconds (sometimes even before entering the player name) IF I used the turbo mode to watch (test) it. On normal game speed the movie was ok for the first 2-3 minutes till I cancelled the recording (don't recorded more because of this problem), but why it gets on turbo mode (Tab-Button) out of sync. Secondly I noticed that the original emulated frame time on "Auto Frame Rate" is 20 20ms NOT 17ms like in all NTSC games. Is this the cause the movie get out of sync on turbo mode? If someone could help me or suggest a solution to this problem I would be very thankful since I'm a Terranigma master and I really want to make a great movie of one of the best games on SNES for you guys to watch.

I guess, you used the official version of snes9x 1.43. You have to use (for moviemaking the beter version) "Snes9x 1.43 WIP1" download it on www.snes9x.com.

caitsith2 you are cool, its not a megalopez (Jennifer) but a mega-metropolis :-) I see you have played this game very often... So what now? Play just on hard or making a time-attack, if Bisqwit is reading please tell me what you prefer.

well done SprintGod, but I can't understand how you have done this extremely fast low punches, because as I tried it mysef from the point where the lowpunches started after the cross over hardkick, I couldn't make them so fast that I would end up in the 13 hit combo even with slowdown and turbo-mode. The last lowpunch crouched was out of reach because zangief was to far away in this time. Can you explain what is exactly to do for making this to work. How should I use the Snes9x features to make this combo, since I'm new on this emulator (I used ZSNES before). As you see the fight was 22 seconds long, and as I said before I was aiming for fastest possible time and highest score, but even if this combo is impressive it costs alot of time and there is not more damage like my 5-Hit combo: jumping HK, HP, H Rekkas (3x) of the movie. And why using crouching HP if you can use the easier normal HP + Fire-Kick?

as I said before, If you do it on hard the growth of the population will be slower and you never could reach a good time attack. For the money glitch execution the easy mode is absolutely no problem, because I just build 3 Atom-Powerplants (5000 each, I need 8 of them anyway) and some rails. It has absolutely no difference. I have to choose if I make it just on hard or if I make it as fast as possible, but then the condition is: EASY.

Hey SprintGod, Im pretty sure that this combo won't work. Could you make a small movie ONLY of this combo (of course with all tools you can use, slowdown, rerecord etc...) and send it to me? Because I can't believe that.

Thank you for your posts, well I have to say if I make it on hard level, then the population growth will not be that fast what is bad for a time attack or a speed run. About the re-recordsand slowdowns: I didn't even know to this time how to re-record on Snes9x because that was my first use of this emulator :-). Allright I will try to improve this movie as soon as I can but have still to do it on easy as I mentioned above. Thank caitsith2 for the hint with the rails, I will do it like that for saving recording time.

Well, my first priority was to make the highest score and the fastest time. If I would use the 8 hit combos I would have to use the low punches, but they give the lowest damage so I would lose on time what will also affect a lower score since the time gives a part of the score. I used Fei Long because he is in my opinion one of the fastest knock-outer from any position because of the rekka ken. To make this hard combos with other fighters require a very close position to the opponent and are not that effective.
