There are submissions. They were all rejected.

Just an FYI, but the PC version of Hexen is also deterministic, same engine as Doom with a few minor modifications, so it could be TAS'd. Not sure if there were any tools created to make TASing Hexen possible though, which is probably why there are no Hexen TASs yet.

Amiga games emulate just fine. Unfortunately, the best Amiga emulator right now (WinUAE) has no re-recording/frame advance features. Only savestates. So no TAS' of amiga games.

Actually I think he was talking about re-writing the game so that you don't need to emulate it.

Then you haven't watched it and thus cannot answer the question. Answering no to it in this case is wrong, but it doesn't really matter either way.

You should probably watch the video before voting okaygo... Look at the question you're answering. :)

Not to imply anything but your post seems to refer to moozooh in a very offensive light. Might just be me though, and I'm sure you don't mean that at all, just saying you could word it better. :P

Yes, but that's not to say they'd see any reason to if there was a fan translation patch available, and when you consider that RPGs, the game genre that would need the translation patch most, can be over 3-4 hours long... I'd say a fan translation patch would be more efficient than going through and making subtitles of everything. I personally don't see the problem with adding the patch to the submission file.

subtitles seem a much better solution.
Would mean we need someone to make subtitles for every single game that someone wants to do a foreign run of. Translation patches make it easier in that regard.

It's already been done. Kejardon showed how to do it a few pages back.

That would only work if there was a way of parsing the changes between each frame reliably, and there's no way to tell exactly what buttons were pressed when from watching a video file.

Rules about entertainment/speed aren't different from game to game. Same thing applies here.

I'm unable to vote, but if I could it would be a Yes vote. That's not because the entire video was entertaining as such, but the hyperspace/quasispace musics were very good and alleviated the boredom of watching the coordinate numbers change, but the action itself was impressive and I liked how Bisqwit managed to make his enemies ships destroy his at the same time as he destroyed theirs.

1.) It's a DS game. There's no properly working DS emulator that has been released yet, let alone one with rerecording and frame-advance. 2.) It's a Bootleg, so would not be accepted anyway.

I tried to watch Saturns WIP, it desyncs right at the beginning of Ceres Station, he fails to jump off of the elevator and gets stuck against a wall. I've tried patching "Super Metroid (JU) [!].swc" with both the 2.1 Headered ROM patch, which gave the above events, and the headerless ROM patch, which failed to even load the game. :/ Any ideas what I should do? CRC for the Movie ROM is 895F19ED CRC for the ROM I tried to use to play it is 54A290FF Edit: Using Snes9Xw-improvement9 Edit 2: Nevermind, I just fixed the problem. Must have used the wrong IPS patch the first time around >.<.
