Still no .fr file.... :( Not too shabby. Just one small question about the boss: was it really faster to crash the slug then and then shoot the final cannon or would it have been faster to finish off the little ones and THEN crash the slug into the bigger one?

Yeah, I actaully got to be in a small meeting with the dude who wrote Daphne, and he went over how it was all done and everything. It was pretty cool.

....I don't think it's funny.... The re-records are Ferret Warlord's perfectionist coming through. Keeping the chibi run up was part of it, and doing boss fights just *perfectly* was the other part of it. There's actually quite a few of his runs that he got started and then never finished, because if a level wasn't frame perfect, then it wasn't good enough, so he'd never finish because of getting frustrated!

True, jumping is faster than walking. There was another in the works somewhere which was surprizingly MUCH faster, but then Ferret Warlord got fed up with something in the game and never finished it and then he left for his secret ninja training (it's secret!). If I can find the time, I would like to fininish it, but I work like 26 hours a day!

The question is over the translation hack, and I don't think that a lot of the TASers here speak Japanese, which would make making the TAS hard when having to make choices. It's just a convience issue. I personally don't care either way, just whatever will produce the fastest results! Subtitles would be COOL! Tell the story of the game as it happens so people know what the heck is going on! Unless you are able to read those quick diaolgue boxes (o.O)!

I'm with you. And things always seemed to blow up much easier when fat. Pistol firing rate when right down the toilet, though.....even when crouching.

Pretty cool. Really like the ice jumping trick, and the cool rainbow dashing. Definate yes here. It even worked fine on my translation hack!

You sure about the fat thing? The weapons get soooo much cooler/bigger looking that it's hard to believe that they don't do more damage.

True, no argument there. But does it really make the game unplayable? Funny looking at times (watch Marina run from the big invisible rock of doom!)...but most of the game is that way anyways!

I didn't mean the Slug Plane into the boss airplane. The airplane with the wings that can be blown up that explodes into a bunch of coins. Your handgun looked like a handgun when it could look like a machine gun. And why not fat? Fork 'em! Fork 'em all! Fat note: when fat, if you crouch (sit?) you will actually shoot a lot faster than if you stand, even with the HMG. Too bad you can't sit and shoot up...

Hmmm...I could see 2 or 3 that went right through mr shark boss. Would it be too hard to just stop shooting for a little until you can hit him again? It looked like just a couple of frames at best.... Otherwise pretty good! The speed ups are starting to get fun!

Just wait till the last one! That's a freaking monster long stage...with lots happening at once! (missles + waving bridge + bad guys + iron lizard.....) EDIT: Just watched level 3. Looked pretty well done, just a couple of smallish questions. The airplane: was the hand-gun shooting as fast as it could have been? I've used a turbo in real-time and got near HMG firing rates. To be honest I couldn't really tell from the vid, but it just looked like you were shooting...slow. Fat: It is possible to get fat off of the pigs, no? And I do know you walk slower, but jumping speed is about the same, but you also get a pretty big power boost in return. Does the power gained for blowing things up off-set the moments when you won't be walking?

Hey, just watched the run, nice job so far. How many speed upgrades are there in the whole game? And does each one speed you up or is there a limit?

Very nice. Seemed to be pretty cool how you would bounce on the mummies when you didn't need to kill them. I did notice a bit of lag in some spots when you would wait a second for a group of mummies to appear or something and then blow them all away, was this avoidable or was it just faster to lag?

I think that this is one of those ones that if you played it as a kid or have memories of that you will like it. Otherwise you won't really like this one.

Better job? The only real mistake I can see is that the rock in that one level and....in a couple of places there's some weird outlines. Beyond that it seems okay to me....
