HEY! Someone else did a TAS of this fun little game. While watching I have a few questions: vs Shademan: it's actually faster to use the medium charge-shot when he's just standing in front of you. Vs everyone else: you did a nice job using the weapons you did. But why not the weakness weapons? They hit MUCH harder than anything else. Even over a charged shot. Vs Pumpkin: did you test point-blank shots? It might be possbile to get multiple hits off of one blast if you're super close. I know it's not the same, but perhaps my TAS of this game might be helpful to you: http://youtube.com/watch?v=KTAq3Z_rIAQ I lost the .fba file ages ago, after I had put a lot of work into this only to get into endless debates about why this sitee doesn't accept these videos. You totally have my support on this one though!

Very true. But it would be a start.

That's suprizingly good. I think I know what you mean by variables messing up. I see that happen in other games, sometimes they load and sometimes they don't. I think I see why ps1 doesn't have recording now!

Hard drive seek time? Wow, there's something I didn't even think of! I suppose that if you didn't have enough RAM it would have to cache the virtual CD to the HD. It does look like that there is going to have to be some really funky way to software control the loads to either be the same all the time or find a way to modify the gens movie files to handle variable load times... *gets headache thinking about it*

So what does cause the inconsistent load times? It's obviously not enough for a human to really take notice of, but around here we're doing superhuman feats!

Very true. Also, don't some games load mid-game while you are playing? So your solution would pause at those load points. Or am I mistaken?

You could check that by playing the original game on a N64...that is if you have access to the original...but of course you know that....

Indeed. Punching is MUCH better. Especially when compared to bullets, foot-ball grenades, lazer rings, flame throwers, and whatever you call Snake Eyes' gun! My little nit-picky things weren't all that big, probably talking about frame-shaving here.

Watching now: as I watch Mission 1: 1st boss - you completely miss with a grenade! I hope it was for manipulation purposes. 3rd boss - lol, dead before hitting ground! Mission 2: Again with damage in the helicopter! Why? More manip? Or lag reduction? Mission 3 - love the manipulation! How were you able to do that anyways? We couldn't seem to get it to go our way... However you really seem to like to just take damage while in a vehicle. The wall-climbing thing again... Mission 4: On the bomb stage it looks like when you go charging through the walls, you generate lag when you kill them so quickly. It also appears that Snake Eyes is hitting the walls ever so briefly. Once again Snake Eyes' "gun" isn't the most powerful, yet you use him to take out the 2 bosses. Reason? Mission 5: I like how you use the over-big hitbox on the wall-crawler (just what the heck is that thing anyways!) Efforts should be taken to lag reduce on the bomb level. Bomb level boss: you take a few hits? And drop useless grenades? More manipulation? Destro was done well. Just out of curiosity do you think it would be possible to drop him before he leaves the screen when fighting 1 on 1? Mission 6: Still like the deathwarp. But why no weapon power manipulation? The boss would go LOTS quicker with 2-4 times the bullets coming at him. Also some shots from the upper stream miss Cobra Commander. Sorry if this looks nit-picky. This just happens to be all I saw...

If I remember right, attacking in this game requires a bit a thinking, as our hero Marina does a bit of a toss action to beat stuff up. When she throws something she pauses for just a brief second...so yes. Lag reduction in this game = difficult.

Lol. FerretWarlord is going to have fun trying to beat this! EDIT: Okay! Watching the run and loads of questions/comments: 1. Good job with the Capt. Grid Iron. I was there during a lot of FerretWarlord's making of (being is bro and all). We were debating over what stat=more powerful. I had a feeling that punching was better than bullets. We would need to go into memory watching to find out how much exactly. Rock and Roll's gun has A LOT more bullets and A LOT more power than anyone else, but his punches aren't as good. 2. Good job with the manipulation of power-ups. FerretWarlord had the biggest trouble getting it work in his favor. 3. You seemed to take unneccssary damage while in vehicles. The biggest examples: in the 1st helicopter during Blizzard's "place the bombs" level there's a solider that you could have shot, but just went right through him. Same thing on Snake Eye's bomb level, many times. 4. Why did you stick with Snake Eyes on Capt. Grid Iron's levels during the 2 and 3rd boss fights? Snake Eyes' shots are the weakest in the game, and his punch is 2nd strongest. 5. On last level, good job with the deathwarp. But then, why someone with a weaker gun for boss fighting? It seemed that you could have manipulated power-ups from the enemys you beat up to have a full-power gun.

Well, it's effcient. Just out of curiosity, are the RNGs for the Final Fantasys different?

*looks at failed summoning attempt*...*cries* okay. I suppose I can be patient. Just out of curiosity how are you going to be making The Day Of quick? Are you just going to burn though the dashing events, and then for the jumping one do *just* enough to win? And I forget the rules for the ball event...is it catch a certain number of balls? or is it time-based? Anyways, really looking forward to this run here!

No, no need to apologize. I was just kinda curious if the point was to do the game totaly non-gliched or just to beat all the revelant bosses using any means possible. I suppose this opens up a 3rd category here: all bosses. The 1st would be normal, the 2nd would be glitched, and the 3rd would be halfway inbetween? Nah, bad idea, just go for either extreme!

Perhpas he could use this "skip" glitch to gain quick access to items and stuff but not use it to skip the boss? Or is using it at all totally out?

Question: are there any really cool items/weapons you could get with this new glitch? Like stuff that you have to go past a certain point to get, but the game stops you?

Actually that would seem to make SOME sense. I give them props then, because they did have some of the most memorable boss fights that I have seen.

True. I guess I mean just how exactly some of those damages work out. Like why is it that sometimes you do the same attack, but it deals different damage?

Again, it would be cool if someone found some memory addresses that would explain how the damages work.

I agree. If you can sequence break this game to death, then do so. It would be cool to see a LONG RPG taken down in a short amount of time. It would be kinda like watching the Mario 64 runs..
