I don't blame you for the lack of voting. Even dating back to my RTA career I made a habit of putting time into games that were either outlandish, boring or had maybe 2 people who cared about them. It's a wonder why I never hit Twitch partner. This credo spilled over into my TASing haha.
Re: select and start - I don't know why it works. I just know it works and people will get to watch less of the game which if they're not enjoying it is a net enjoyment gain technically.

IIRC you don't have to buy her anything (other than the party which doesn't even happen because we end the game fast enough.) However those events play into the subtle variances that exist in the seeds.
For example zerfall's run (RTA WR) gets the "dog shopping" event in week 1 and doesn't buy one. In week 3 his stock gets a large boost, growing way higher than normal. In this TAS I don't get the dog event until week 2. I initially said no and found out that I didn't get that stock boost in week 3. I backed up and bought the dog and I ended up getting the boost. Other purchases are to keep the gains solid and occasionally are faster dialogs.
To keep her happy you can do the bare minimum and do a carnival date. You do need to be on top of it else you get a phone call from her and we hate phone calls. I do IRL as well.

The only thing I'm sad about with this TAS is that we don't get to see the truly ridiculous enemies of the world. The pots and pans robot, the "I love you" monster, the wire frame swordsman, the bouncing caterpillar...
Game is weird.

It's the final scenario for the overall story and meant to be the hardest. The only thing different in previous levels are some different families and people.

Thanks! For some reason I thought I tried the instant jump away but I guess I didn't. 10 frames is a decent amount, I'll look at it later today. I don't want to have to reroute the whole thing from that point but we'll see how it goes.
Edit - I carried it through level 3 and even though it saved ten frames immediately, I ended up bleeding them all back slowly due to changed/suboptimal enemy patterns. I don't think I'll be able to use it for a time save with my current route.
That said, I'm not infallible so I could be missing something if you or anyone else wanted to double-check my work.

I figured out the stick thing 4/5 of the way through and didn't go back and test it.
It looks like it would be a time save on paper. Lose at least 20 frames to pull it out (since you would have been moving immediately instead. We pull it out at the boats because we have to wait anyway.) plus the animation delay of pulling it out is a bunch of frames
Save 39 frames for the 3 jumps. Net save of less than 19 frames minus the animation delay that I forgot to look at. It's probably a wash or very close.
However that would then likely change enemy patterns, potential lag frames and a different code requiring basically a full re-route of a lot of rooms. If someone wants to chase those frames I'll gladly support them.

I think it's unfortunately just outclassed by any judgable metric. It's not the fastest, and it's not the entertainingest so it has nothing to show that would result in approval IMO
I agree that multiple playarounds can exist if they are equally entertaining but show different stuff but I don't feel like that is the case here.

I agree with feos regarding Moons. I was highly entertained by this video for which I haven't any bias and Memory should be receiving the bribe completely unrelated monetary donation soon.

I just use wip in file names sometimes so I remember to actively back them up and I don't auto save a change that I forget about. I'm finished with this one and am happy with it. I'd say we did a bang up job on this.
Yoo very nice improvement! I tried changing the route at the end a bit more as that one shot coming from above at the end was a bit in the way and found four more frames. There's probably still more to save...

Nice! When I looked at it yesterday I couldn't find anything missing in your early game route. I even tried a few ideas of my own. It all turns into a giant math problem. Shooting every 18th frame as often as possible, having 2 shots on screen as much as possible, all while balancing the fact that the later shots have to travel farther rendering the previous 2 steps harder.
Unfortunately I am not a math wizard haha. 15:X is so close though!

Yo, thanks a bunch!
Seems like we have a common interest in A2600 games :) If you want to, we can collab on a project sometime! (rn my time is rather limited :/ but in general i'm open for it :) ).
Btw, If you ever find yourself working on Miniature Golf or Skateboardin, feel free to dm me or to create a forum post about it! :) At the moment (for some months now) I've paused progress on both these games, and haven't uploaded any userfiles yet, since progress is either too little or too inevitable, so it probably wouldn't make much sense.
btw, there might be quite some frames to save just with the tech alone in this game by finding a better path. I haven't investigated it all too much ;) so feel free to still look into this!
(minor) edit: deleted some parenthesis, which made the readability worse.
Miniature Golf and Skateboardin aren't on my radar currently but that can always change.
I'll poke around with this tomorrow and see what I can find! And I'm always open for collaboration as well though my time also tends to be limited (health reasons)

Requesting a judge replace the submission with this file which cuts the run down to 17 frames. I will not be making a new encode as the, uh, "gameplay" does not change at all from the submitted vid.

Oi, chum! This is one of my all time favorite games and it looks like a good first effort to me. Looking forward to seeing where you take the decker run as well.
