Shame on me. I just remembered you going for BoB, yet I thought that you went there directly after canceling the Aquarium. How are you redoing those parts? Hexedit? "Rewind" to those places and redo everything else just like it's in your current WIP?

mr_roberts_z: I just watched your current WIP once again. You completed JRB in one go and seemed to wanted to do BoB afterwards. Was this just to tease us on how you are doing the Mario wings to the sky star or are you planning on getting the red switch activated beforehand?

I don't know why, but the run desyncs horribly over here (Gentoo Linux, dega-1.14a). alden, could you post your ROM's md5sum, please?

That may be the case if you've already unlocked the 50 star door. But there sure is a huge difference between going up the stairs (longjumping or not) and having to "show the star" to make the door pop open and just rushing through it like maniac without using the star.

Looks quite nice to me! :) The only thing that looked a little odd is how you got the 7th star on the road to Bowser 1. Yet I'm sure you had your reasons.

Oh God, this game sucks :D However, I'm currently uploading an avi which should be done in some 20 minutes. http://www.filefactory.com/file/21c9b8/

That's just the thing that disturbs me a little as well. On the other hand, Ninja Gaiden got published just some days ago and it's not that must faster, I guess. Anyway, maybe I'll find some time on the weekend to post a WIP.

Hey, has anyone yet thought about TASing this game? It's one of my favorites on the SMS. If nobody wants to, I could give it a try as well, although I'm highly unexperienced about TASing in general.

Great run, guys! /edit: How many posts does it need for me to be able to vote? Or am I just to dumb to see the button?

I'd watch the end result (avi) but probably not WIPs (unless avi)
Does filespace.com only allow 40 KB/s up? Anyway, there you go.

This is just what I've been talking about: a teasing teaser, not just some "regular" screenshot probably anyone could have accomplished. Don't get me wrong; this doesn't mean your skills are to be downsized or anything, it's just a suggestion. Imho it's ought to show people how awesome this run might/will get, although it should not be there to take away all the anticipation. In the end, it's your decision what to post and what not to. // Holy crap, I really need to take a look at what I'm posting ;\

I like the idea as well, yet I think that the latest screenshot posted looks a little too ordinary for people to really be thrilled to see the full run. :o

The video looks quite nice. Do you have a name or such for that particular patch?

Sami, you may have already answered tihs, but what plugins do you use?
You mean his Mupen settings? The latest m64 file states that he's using Jabo's Direct3D8 1.6, Jabo's DirectSound 1.6, TAS Input Plugin 0.6 and the regular RSP emulation Plugin.
