The original version is for Arcade, but the game was also ported to PSP, PS2 and Wii. The Arcade version is not emulated by FBA-rr. PSP can't be TASed yet, PS2 may be TASable, but it's not so easy. So perhaps the video was made through the Wii version? I dunno since there's no information about that. I also didn't find any Metal Slug 6 video on this site. Unless if didn't I search properly.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuDzEIp9ndo There's no information at all on the description. I'd like to know what emulator and version they used for that.

Sorry for double posting, but I managed to bypass the screen. All I had to do is start recording from save-state and it worked like a charm. But now I have yet another problem... Sometimes when I record from save-state and then put the movie to replay, this error happens: It only happened with the Metal Slug games so far. And it's really driving me nuts because I have to rely on luck for this recording method to work. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it doesn't. What should I do? I'd like some help...

Bizhawk doesn't support PSP yet. But hopefully it will in some months' time. PPSSPP is very good.
Woah, really? That's some exciting news. PSP has some real good games. Lookin' forward to being able to TAS the Prinny games. ^-^

Thank you, it worked. At least with Metal Slug 1. But now I have another problem. When I record Metal Slug 2 from Power-on, I get this screen after the intro: I can't get past it no matter what button I press. What should I do?

I don't think it's necessary creating a topic just to ask this question, so I'll post here. On games like Metal Slug, if you press F2 you go to a menu that lets you change a lot of things. I want to change the game's level from 4 to 8 and enable blood. The game changes normally if I do that, but if I start recording a movie and put "record from power-on", the game returns to level 4 and without blood. How can I record from power-on while keeping the changes made through F2?

I read somewhere that it's possible to overclock Final Burn or something. Here's the article: http://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Overclocking "Final burn alpha allows for overclocking of Neo Geo games. All Neo Geo should run at full speed when overclocked. " I want to do this in order to play Metal Slug 2 without slowdown. But it's not explaining how to overclock the emulator. How can I do it?

I'm trying to play a Game Gear game (Halley Wars), but when I press my keys to do stuff, nothing happens. I set B1 to Z and B2 to X, but when I press the Z and X keys the game simply doesn't respond to my commands. It's like I didn't press anything at all. What should I do?

I only know one thing. If someday MAME-rr gets as stable as something like FCEUX, then goodbye life. I'd spend my whole life TASing on it, lol. xD

Then what needs to be done is improving the save state function of each driver supported by FBA-rr, instead of improving game by game. What I find to be very strange is that for example... Makaimura synced perfectly for me, while Daimakaimura always desyncs on every attempt, but both of them comes from the same driver: cps1.

Does the .cue list more than just the data track? If it does, that CD likely had CD-DA for music, and PSXjin just does not support that.
This is what the .cue lists: Can someone check if it's possible to get the game running with audio? I got a similar problem with another game called "In the Hunt" I tested both games on ePSXe and they gave me the same audio issue.

I see. It'd still help me a bunch if I knew what games were tas safe and tas unsafe prior to making the TAS, though. It'd be cool if there was a list somewhat like this: https://dolphin-emu.org/compat/S/ Except listing what games are tas safe or unsafe. Even though it'd be really helpful, I think nobody in the world would be willing to do this. Maybe there's a way to tell if the game will sync by looking into the ROM's codes or something? If the only to know if it will sync is by testing it, then it'd be extremely tiresome.

Something I don't understand is how some games can sync perfectly while others are completely hopeless. I mean, they all belong to the same emulator, right? What's the difference between unreliable and reliable games, and what exactly makes the unreliable ones desync? Is there a way to tell if the game will sync or not before making the TAS? That would help me a lot since I'd not do the TAS in vain, so I'd not waste my time.

So, I got PuLiRuLa for ps1 and it came with a .img, .cue, .sub and .ccd The emulator I use is PSXjin 718. When I try to run the .img there, the game runs finely but the BGM's are mute. What should I do with those 4 files? I'm pretty sure I should do something with them to get the BGM's working.

When I try to run the game on it, the emulator crashes. Anyone else having the same issue? Here are the error's details:

Nevermind, I just had a good idea as solution. I simply reconfigured my controls to match how the emulator is being displayed, so... up = left right = up left = down down = right

I can rotate my monitor, but it's a pain moving the cursor around when it's like that, and it'd be even more of a pain to change it back to normal when I finish with the game. So I'd like a hotkey or something. I read somewhere that pressing "Shift+Alt+Arrows" should do the trick, but I tried and it didn't work for me. My life would be much easier if I could do that via hotkeys.

The thing is that stuff like score and other info goes to the bottom of the screen when you switch to TATE mode. That's how the game look like on the Arcade, and I'd like to play it like that.
