Is it something that could be fixed by the next BizHawk release? Not sure how high in the priority this would be, so take my question lightly. I do know that accuracy matters, though.

I just tried the game on BizHawk and it displays glitched, garbage graphics on the intro cutscene. I'm not a programmer. I'm just a regular user here. I have no idea how hard/time consuming porting a core is, so bear with me please. But if it's that much of a hassle, then nevermind. And no, I had no "great stories" to back me up. I was just asking if there was any chance out of curiosity.

Any chance you guys will port the NGPC and PC-FX Mednafen cores to BizHawk? I think that'd be pretty neat myself. Especially PC-FX since it's only available on Linux Mednafen...

I'm feeling stupid now. Snes9x 1.52 can emulate KDL3's translucence stuff as well, you just need to leave the "Hi Resolution Support" option enabled. I had it unchecked so that's why the graphics were opaque. >.> Thank you for the info, guys.

Sorry for the bump, but I don't understand why snes9x 1.53 emulates pseudo-hires translucency perfectly but not snes9x 1.52 and earlier. Failure on this emulation makes games like Kirby's Dreamland 3 look rather awkwardly. From what I saw on the SNES accuracy tests page, there's no difference between snes9x 1.51 and 1.53 apart from snes9x 1.53 passed on APU and on the Mouse Electronics Test, Mouse Button Test and Mouse Cursor Movement Test. But I doubt any of those is related to pseudo-hires translucency. Can someone explain things to me?

Tumble Pop (World) and all of its clones worked perfectly for me on fba-rr v0.0.7.01. What fba version are you using, and what kind of error do you get?

This .kkapture does exactly what I want. But the only problem is the audio. It comes out extremely bugged/out of sync and it hurts my ears. Is there not a way to fix the audio?

It may sound dumb, but is there any program that can dump .avi out of PC games? just like it's possible to .avi dump with some emulators. My idea is that the supposed program would target the game's .exe and then it'd start dumping an uncompressed .avi on the game's default resolution as you play. Of course, the gameplay would probably lag a lot, but the .avi output would still be completely lagless. I'm asking this because all screen recorders I tried so far (Fraps, Dxtory, etc) works laggy on my computer. Even with less demanding games, sometimes the program hiccups/lag spikes randomly and it ruins the flow of the video. I know Hourglass can .avi dump, but only a few games are compatible with it. Is there a way to do what I want?

bsnes v087 isn't even available for download on Emulator Zone. They only have v091. I had to look somewhere else. But anyway, Battletoads in Battlemaniacs seems to be working fine on v087.

Battletoads in Battlemaniacs emulation on BizHawk's Compatibility Core is pretty bugged. But it works fine on Performance Core. It's like it tries to speed up the emulation and slow it down constantly. Even the music is affected. But on Performance Core, it runs perfectly smoothly. Tested ROM: Battletoads in Battlemaniacs (U) [!] Tested Emulator: BizHawk-1.11.0 (This bug isn't present on Higan v_094)

Ahahaha, well... if you suffer from paranoid schizophrenia/asperger/anxiety/major depression or other similar garbage, then sure thing! It's a little complicated, but that's basically how I got my pension. The government from here helps people with those kind of issues. The market here is probably not too bad. But the thing is that I'm not really an expert on any other "secondary subject". But your idea isn't bad. It could actually help me getting more income. I don't do much apart from spending time on the internet and playing video games anyway. (I could stop being lazy and start doing something useful in my free time) XD

Indeed. Regardless if you plan to work as a translator, copywriter or whatever, you're still forced to complete those 300 hours. I think it's a waste of time, really. But that's how things are here, sadly.

I ended up quitting my career because of that. But it's fine. Things are good for me the way they are currently. I ended up filling some papers and getting into some agreements with the government, so now I get a stable monthly income even without working. It's as much as I'd earn if I were working as a translator, so everything is good.

(It was late for me so I was sleepy and not thinking too straight >.<; ). For example: I made an A3 on LÍNGUA INGLESA VI because I skipped the A2 of that discipline. And I made an A4 on INTRODUÇÃO À INFORMÁTICA because the average between my A2 and A3 (4.5 and 6.0 respectively) was lower than 7.0. But the average between my A2, A3 and A4 was ≥5.0, so I passed. I applied for Linguistics a few years ago. More specifically: Portuguese/English. I'm from Brazil, so Portuguese is my first language and my second is English. I wanted to follow this career because my original intention was to become a translator. I successfully went as far as the last college semester and passed in every discipline. ...Except for internship. And that's the ONLY reason I could not obtain my diploma. I don't know how things are for you guys, but in my country you have to successfully complete 300 hours of internship as a Portuguese/English teacher trainee in order to graduate (as well as passing in every discipline, of course). Sounds like a lot of time, right? But that's not the main problem. Imagine yourself trying (and failing miserably) to teach in a classroom filled with 40~50 irritating brats that are unable to hold a civil conversation/listen to you and only keep shouting non-stop through the class. Yes, that's how things went for me. It didn't help the fact I'm introverted/quiet/clumsy/socially inept/autistic/etc, so I was unable to "tame" the little devils. To put short: I was a complete failure at internship. So much that it costed my diploma. I was pretty good, however, in the actual college classes. Despite my lazy attitude, I'd always get good grades even without studying at all. At most I'd only grab the books and study them for a couple hours before the start of every test. ...To be honest, I never actually enjoyed Linguistics that much and only applied for it because I was naturally good at Portuguese, plus already knew how to read English (learned it from playing too many RPG's). I thought I'd have an easy time following the career, and it turned out I was right. (...Except for the internship part that killed me) If you're interested, here is my [URL=http://i.imgur.com/cNctfyP.png]school card/college report/whatever[/URL]. We call it "boletim" here. (It's still archived on my university's official website). That's how things work: You have two tests for each discipline every semester - "A1" and "A2". The grade you get on each test ranges from 0.0 to 10.0. If the average between A1 and A2 is ≥7.0, then you're approved. If it's lower than that, that means you've failed. You're still, however, able to make an extra test called "A3" should you fail to meet the approval requirements. The average will now reflect A1, A2 and A3 - and it must be ≥5.0. As you can see from my boletim, I only failed in some internship disciplines (the ones saying ESTÁGIO SUPERVISIONADO). Anyway... I guess that's it. I just wanted to share my own experiences on this thread. I'm sorry if it turned out a little too lengthy... ^^; I still retain some of the Linguistics knowledge I learned back then. I made a few movies on fceux before and I'd like to make them sync on BizHawk. I imported one of my movies and when I put it to replay, I got this message: Then I watched the movie and it desynced near the beginning. I'm assuming I'm not doing things right, especially because of this warning message. What should I do to make a .fm2 sync perfectly on BizHawk? Is that even actually possible?

@moozooh: Everything you said is true. But when I made that post I had large companies in mind only. Sorry for not making that clear. But yeah, Doujin Circles/Indie are the way to go without a doubt. Many great Doujin/Indie shmups were released not too long ago. Titles include Crimzon Clover, Trouble Witches, Stella Vanity, Akashicverse, eXceed3rd, TWIlight INSanity, TWIlight refRAIN, and list goes on and on. There are a bunch of them. Same thing goes for side scrollers. We got Cave Story, Rosenkreuzstilette, Koumajou Densetsu 1 and 2, Crescent Pale Mist, Grief Syndrome... etc. Fighters include Melty Blood, Big Bang Beat, Ougon Musou Kyoku, Vanguard Princess... etc. It's in fact good that Doujin/Indie circles exist to keep old school alive. I greatly admire the effort they put in their games. Those games are not made with profit in mind. They are a labor of love.

As far as Final Fantasy go, I only really like FF1~FF6, FF9 and FFT. Square Enix is dead for me now. But then again, most gaming companies I used to love in the past are now either defunct or merged with something else and completely different than what they used to be. The traditional JRPG genre is pretty much a dead genre nowadays as well. I can count a few of the good games that were released recently (Bravely Default, Fire Emblem Awakening, Etrian Odyssey IV, Shin Megami Tensei IV, Persona Q - Shadow of the Labyrinth... etc). But that's it. Not only JRPG's, but most other old school video game genres are now pretty much dead too. (Shmups, Beat 'em Ups... etc). They used to be the bomb back then, but nowadays they feel dated and simply look unappealing. Gamers from the current generation are too busy with their FPS, MOBAs and Puzzle Matching mobile games. Either way, I can't really blame any of this. Video games are constantly transiting. Back in the past video games were all about arcade machines, then we got desktop consoles, then handhelds, and now mobiles. Basically, things change over the time.

rofl. I have to buy save points now. Fuck this shit. Back in the original SNES version there was no such a thing. This is what I hate about mobile games. Horrible controls aside, you have to pay to unlock plenty of the game's content. It's like that one mobile version of Mega Man X. Back in the SNES original you could unlock armor upgrades through the stages. And now guess what? You have to purchase them as downloadable content. Not sure if you have to buy other things as well. inb4 when you beat a boss you don't get their weapon unless you buy it. So, yeah. But of course, there are many other examples of horrible mobile ports.
