You'll be much more likely to find someone willing to collaborate with you (on any game - let alone this one) if you first prove you are capable of making a publishable (or at minimum, a relatively optimized) TAS on your own. Otherwise--and this is somewhat based on your posts in other threads of the forum--it comes across that you're just wanting to split the glory from someone else's hard work. Essentially, show us you're worthy of collaborating with. Many of us have numerous projects we're working on (within and without the TAS community); and we either don't have the time or simply don't want to hold someone else's hand through the TASing process if they aren't going to be a beneficial collaborator. I do not intend for this post to come across as rude, more just to-the-point.
Oh. Oof. Would a run of Green Hill suffice? I would try to optimize it as much as I can.

Also, I want to apologize for being a dick. I should have just asked for an example but I wasn't thinking ahead. I hope you're not hurt by my posts ^^; (Although I personally still do think I'm bad at autoscrollers so that part wasn't a lie but that's subjective and thus shouldn't matter.) Ok yeah looking back at my first post I was definitely being a dick considering that's not how I normally am. Sorry ^^; You still did put some effort into the entertainment so my thank you was a genuine thank you, by the way. I was half-expecting not to receive anything back.
I accept your apology

Also, you lost 9 frames by entering the door so late at the end, so if I were to continue with your entertainment section I would have lost 9 frames.
Oof. Sorry. I'm best at the Sonic series... (Still good at Mario tho)

Not if it's done in an area such as an autoscroller.

add the entertainment
What does this mean, exactly?
A series of inputs that when played back makes something entertaining, like sonic the hedgehog moonwalking for example.

OK, so, I found something really funny: If you have it do left for a frame then right for a frame and have it repeat those actions over and over, Mario makes dust as if he's skidding but he isn't. (Not sure if anyone already knows this, but it's useful for entertaining runs)

Would this work for, say... the 8-Bit version of Sonic the Hedgehog? I'd test myself but idk how to use these encodes....

Quick Note: I specialize in games in the Super Mario or Sonic the Hedgehog series, but I can do others like Kirby for instance. Also: I do not accept TASes for Computer Systems (Too much work to figure out the inputs because there's so many), unless you explain the inputs that are used. I also do not do PS1/Saturn/N64 since those do not work for me on BizHawk..

MAME-RR: It exists. That's all you're getting from me. FBA-RR: It also exists and likes to crash sometimes, compatibility mode to win 7 helps and the method is that of classic TASing. DeSmuME: Same as above, only substitute crashing for free desyncs and you have to deal with a touch screen. Number Two: Ha, no. It's a process and a half to actually create a core. Also RetroArch uses older builds and is never up to date on some of their cores.
I will just look it up for MAME. As for FBA/DeSmuME, I assume by "Classic" you mean like BizHawk? And for Cores: OK, that I get.

Hello! I must say, this is quite the timing! I recently started working on a Super Mario World "No Fire Flower" TAS, and I just reached the autoscroller in the first castle level. You see, I am not good at entertainment. I always look so bad! :( So, I wanted to ask; could try to do it? It would be very appreciated! Here is the .bk2 file, if you need it: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/61545395818472878 It's at frame 10,000!
Well... it looks like I was wrong. I guess there are TASers who don't like TASing the autoscroller sections of games for entertainment. I retract my original claim.
ok lol

First One: DeSmuME exists. What is wrong with you? Second One: FBA-rr and MAME-rr exists. What is wrong with you? Side Note: You can find this information on the Emulation TAB when you're at the homepage of TASVideos. Third One: You can use the dll in BizHawk and TAS the core you want. THIS IS NOT RECOMMENDED. Fourth One: You upload it to user files. Fifth One: Tetris.
Number One: I meant how easy is it to TAS with DeSmuME and Arcade emulators. (I shoulda been clearer, that's my fault.) Number Two: For the cores thing I meant: Taking the .dll, turning it into it's own .exe that can run without a frontend, and giving it TASing features.

10 years old for the person in question. You just failed basic addition/subtraction (to the comment). In referral to the bump that's 3 years old... Also, also. Yabause existed for TASing Saturn games before Hawk. Meaning your comment falls basically flat on everything.
Hear me out. BizHawk is MUCH better for Saturn TASing cause of it's simplicity.

Sigh... that's not what I meant. What I MEANT was u can send the .bk2s, I will convert them to .tasproj, add the entertainment, convert the new ones to .bk2, and then figure out how to send them.

Basically if u have a TAS that u want to be that bit more entertaining without breaking the TAS (Mainly in areas that go at a set speed, things like when the points are counting down in the Sonic games), just send a link to the vid, I'll grab the .bk2 (Assuming it's a BizHawk movie), and make the specified part that much more entertaining!

I have my doubts that this would be any good to watch. The game just blew, and outside of using shortcuts, there's not much you can do. Also, I don't think Yabause can run it any good (haven't checked).

Another couple quick questions Nintendo DS: How do you TAS this? MAME: Again, How do you TAS this? Would it be possible to THEORETICALLY take libretro cores, make them their own standalone emulators, and give them TASing capabilities?

What is the shortest TAS of any Game Boy game without major glitches? (At least out of the ones that have been accepted.)
