A soft-resetting run of every level seems to be the best solution, but I don't really see any reason to get all treasure/map pieces (well, maybe map pieces... I don't think I ever bothered to get every one and don't remember what getting them all gives you). [edit: Oh man, I didn't know there was a hidden chapter. I've been missing out on it all this time. D: I guess all treasure and map pieces are go, then.] Good thing te game gives you a map of all possible branches when you finish it for the first time--makes going back and doing the other brances a lot easier. :P

Oh man, myself and a couple friends discovered this thing a number of months ago after someone posted about it on another forum. Fantastic hack, even though in some places it was so cruelly difficult I had to load probably hundreds of thousands of save states and spend half of my time in slow motion. What a pleasant trip down memory lane. :) It's nothing mindblowing, obviously, but I really appreciate the fact you did this at all.

I would really really like to see runs of Wario Land II or III. I could watch those games all day. :)

Neutral Milk Hotel is so.... yeah. Where is your Five Iron Frenzy, Spacecow?
So... what? I'm afraid I don't follow :x And I don't like Five Iron Frenzy... any reason you bring them up? edit: Oh, I see. Weird, what I remember hearing of them was more pop-punk-ish and not really that great. Hrm.

Because it's easier than typing up a list myself, I'm just going to link to my Audioscrobbler page. There you will find the top 50 artists I've listened to since December. Exciting, I know. Though They Might Be Giants have the most plays, The Flaming Lips are currently my favorite band. and Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea is my favorite album ever. Though I doubt many people here are going to agree with me. :)

Wario Land 4 might be an interesting thing game to try. Although it might get too boring because you have to find four peices for every stage.
I'd actually rather see Wario Land 2 or 3 done before 4. 2 especially has a certain charm to it that 3 and 4 didn't quite seem to recapture. That's just me though.

Donkey Kong. Not 'Donkey Kong Land' or 'Country' or any of those, just Donkey Kong. And not Mario vs Donkey Kong either, though that one would also be kinda neat, the original Super Game Boy Donkey Kong. In fact I think that was the title that was launched with the SGB. It was one of my all-time favorite Gameboy games.
This would be amazing to watch if done properly. That game has more acrobatics and freedom of control than pretty much any other platformer I can think of, on any system. I really hope someone's up to doing this.

This probably isn't quite what was in mind when the thread was made, but someone on the Somethingawful forums made a very nice Picross engine thing in Flash. http://www.thetimmys.com/flash/picross/index.php Clicking (and dragging) selects squares, selecting again will remove selections, and shift+clicking will mark squares with Xes. Not that great if you don't know how to play/aren't interested in Picross, and there's only 30 puzzles, but those 30 can last you a while if you're not very good at Picross (like me).

I think he already has that option deselected, since he edited a previous post with "*edit - update, odd now image is showing up*". It wouldn't be showing up at all if that option wasn't unchecked, so I don't think the control panel was the problem. I wonder why that's set to off by default anyway...

You scored 93% Beginner, 100% Intermediate, 87% Advanced, and 77% Expert! That's good to know, I suppose... (not bothering with the Google test)

Wow, I had no idea the little star you shoot out as Wheelie Rider was so powerful. That's crazy. Seeing less Wheelie Rider would have been nice, but it's not required, obviously, since most games don't even give you the multiple playing options Kirby does. Anyway, voted 'yes.'

I noticed Mario looked up repeatedly during the ending parade. Was that the secret trick? Or was it something else?
Oh, that takes me back. I remember reading the way to do this on world-of-nintendo.com (http://www.world-of-nintendo.com/super_nes/super_mario_world.shtml, "ending change") quite a long time ago and trying this trick out with a friend who'd helped me through a large amount of the game. We were probably about 11 or 12, and needless to say we laughed so hard we couldn't breathe for several minutes. Kudos to Viper for slipping that in there. :)

Gotta vote yes on this one. I've really enjoyed following the development of everything in the thread, and the payoff is definitely worth the time it took to put together--it's an ambitious movie and there are really no flaws I can see with it. Fantastic work.

http://gfx.xiando.org/hsalf_games/imariof1smx.swf This is really short and bizarre and doesn't really have any jokes or anything in it, but for whatever reason I think it's hilarious.

I'd personally like to see both glitch and nonglitch runs, but only with the fastest character. I don't see the need to do it with each character since most runs will be essentially the same with each. edit: Thought about it a little more and just doing glitch runs would probably be more entertaining.

Been reading SA and its forums for years, finally got someone to buy me an account a little over a year ago. It's the worst thing to do to one's spare time. :(

Posting to support this. This would make for a very exciting, interesting movie (since all Treasure games are by nature).

I'm just a little pissant newb, but BombAHead's suggestion of Dynamite Headdy is a very good one. One of Treasure's most underappreciated games, in my opinion, and one that I would very much like to see run through (because I suck at it--even with savestates I could never beat Stair Wars). Anyway, that'd be neat to see, if one of you guys has time to kill or something.

I didn't really ever plan on actually posting here when I registered, but there's no way I can't comment on this run. Unbelievable video, amazing job. My jaw dropped with frightening regularity :D
