Misty Star Road was awesome, one of the best uses of fooling with forced scrolling I've seen in a while. And while it makes absolutely no difference, I like how you 'played' along with the music during waiting periods. :)
Anyway, voted yes.

Wow, very nice work. My friend had this game and if I recall correctly managing things got to be pretty ridiculous later on.
I'm loving the glitches you've found so far, keep up the great work! (But maybe don't scroll through the different options really quickly like you did in parts of level 3...)

Woah... I remember seeing some people on one forum working on replacing the textures in OoT with hi-res versions that looked amazing, but this looks more like a Wind Waker-style retexturing. Crazy.
minor edit: I guess this is what I remembered seeing, only it was still in development last time I saw it. http://www.emutalk.net/high-resolution-textures-projects/26320-federellis-retexture-pack-zelda-oot-mq.html
Can't wait to see what you come up with when N64 rerecording is a reality, TSA. :)

I never made it past the second level of this game so I can't say I saw any obvious flaws in your routes or anything. Everything looks good, good enough to publish.
...man, I never knew how much of a trip this game would be ;)

I don't think anyone is doing this... don't movies that obsolete older ones generally say something like "this run is x faster than Previous Player's version"? Would it be fair if the movie page said something like "this movie optimizes Sleepz's route by 36 frames," or am I not understanding the situation correctly?

I haven't studied the two movies closely, so maybe I'm not really making an informed judgement here, but if someone makes minor adjustments and optimizations to someone else's method of completing a game, shouldn't they still be credited with improving upon that method? I was under the impression that this occured somewhat frequently. Friendly competition and all that. I guess I was mistaken :/ I don't see what's keeping Sleepz from further improving upon Phil's time if he so wishes to, though.
minor edit: Am I the only one who thinks using the term "backstabbing" for this is a little harsh?

I don't know, I was thinking it could just stop the movie input after Mew was caught. Since there's no real end I thought it might just continue on playing, like the Tetris movie.

I found this game underneath a big pile of junk recently and started playing it out of boredom. It really makes for a decent, fast-paced pinball game and I think it could make for a very interesting TAS if done properly, like the Arkanoid video.
It's been years since I've even come close to doing well at it on my actual GBC, but I know that you can 'advance' through towns by catching pokemon or doing 'map moves.' I remember once I made it rather far down the line and ended up at a bonus game featuring Mewtwo, so that's something to strive for perhaps (since this game doesn't really have an end).
Another thing this movie may try to accomplish is to catch Mew. I didn't actually know this was possible but according to DEngel's guide on GameFAQs:
Mew might make a somewhat suitable replacement for the standard final boss... or not, I'm just throwing the idea out there if anyone is interested in doing this.

I remember first seeing the product demo years ago and being completely blown away by it. It is, after all, a 10 minute movie crammed into 64kb. What they're doing is unreal... which reminds me, Will Wright was inspired by demos like these for a lot of how his new game Spore is going to work, if I recall correctly...

It does not desync.
This is an interesting idea. I'm not really sure how entertaining it'll be to watch, though, to be honest. I think the stage challenges actually would be a better choice than the puzzles, since the puzzles will be a couple frames of laying down tiles and then watching mice run around for a bit. Stage challenges would have continuous input and would be a lot more lively, even though it'd probably be a total bitch to optimize.
(BTW, there's actually closer to 2500 user puzzles, not 1000. For some weird reason I felt the need to correct that. :P)

http://www.filefarmer.com/ is giving free hosting to the first 200 signups daily, if you're cheap. Don't know how reliable they are though.
If you don't mind spending a few bucks on something decent and reliable, if you sign up on http://www.dreamhost.com/ with the "crazy domain insane" package (under the "managed web hosting") and enter promo code 777 after you fill out your basic information, you get a year of hosting and a domain name for $10. I signed up a few months ago and have had no problems with them at all. I recommend 'em.

I used one of sdkess' ~5min SMB runs for a school project about videogames of the 1980s as an example of how short they are compared to modern games...
I also used clips from Sleepz' RCR TAS to demonstrate how flexible games could be despite only having two buttons (punch/kick/jump/pick up item/use item/throw item and so on)

I've been following this off and on, and I'm voting yes, but only if the published video displays both games at once as Dehacked's example movie does. I imagine watching them separately is not nearly as entertaining.
