too bad your not doing this anymore spezzafer, the WIP itself is incredibly impressive.
Well, comicalflop if you really want to do this I suggest you to do the first world trying to it faster or as fast as spezzafer, to get to know how the game works and how to do it as fast as possible and as entertaining as possible without losing speed.
It would be bad if in the halfway trough the run it looses quality.
I strongly recommend you to give a shot in this one, I think that you proved to all of us that you are capable of doing a great run if you really put yourself into it.

Quoted for the truth, DKC1 was really difficult to make 100% (Orang Utang Gang and the first Oil stage as you mentioned are really hard), DKC2 was hard enough, just in the right point. But I have to admit that I spent several weeks to find the DK Coin on Kannon's Klaim on the first time I played, and finishing Web Woods without getting the DK Coin is always sad because you have to redo the level to get it.
DKC2 in my opinion is the best of the DKC series, and all 3 of them are extremelly good.
The question now is: why isn't this run published yet?

Well comicalflop, I have to say that in your first WIP I thought that you would be another person who tries fails and then quits. But I have to say that you really surprised me with your WIPs after that.
As far as I could see, you never quit, even if you have to restart your run all over again, and you did that 8 times in just one run! Daily updates, lots of feedback, you really had putted yourself into this run, and you were really determined to do something that worth publishing.
And if you still don't know, you've made it. This is a TAS that I am not going to forget soon, not only the TAS but also the TASer. You comicalflop are an example to be followed in this community, giving heart and soul to a TAS, that's the way it should be.
And you chose to do that in my favourite game of all time. A hell of a first submission, I have to admit.
If you still don't get it, I'm voting YES :D
And I'm looking forward to V9 submission.

That is good to know. I'm planning to do a non-tool-assisted speedrun of this game next year, this is a very interesting information. :D
Good luck with Kannon, but it shouldn't be that hard since you already found the "good" frame.

Middle-click on a link is the easiest thing since sliced bread. ;)
I'm using a notebook mouse (by M$), middle-click here acts like Alt+Tab (dunno why).
If I have my other hand busy (and by busy I mean too lazy to put it on the keyboard), I have to click with the right button and then click in "Open in a New Tab".

SpiDeY is looking for an automated function. of course he could click on every link, as we all do (usually the "newest" icon), and simply by holding ctrl he could open it into a firefox tab, but if I have had understood him well, he wants a single button that does it all for him.
I don't think that's what he wants. He never mentioned that he wants to open all links at once, he just wants all links to open into new tabs/windows instead of forwarding the current page. At least, I think that that's what he wants.

This way you hurt my feelings Bisqwit =(

1) I did however fix the column width problem at the forum view. (Different page from what you linked to.)
Ok, thanks. It was really annoying :P

2) I hate links that unexpectedly do "open in a new window" when I don't want that. If I want to open it in a new tab, I ctrl-click it. If I want it to open it in a new window, I rightclick it and select "open in a new window". Otherwise I expect it to follow the link in the same window.
I already do this (Shift+Click) but I often forget about it, and accidentally close the TASVideos page =/
But don't worry, I'll just try to get used to do that.

I'm as lazy as he is, so I wrote a javascript function (inserted into a bookmark) that automatically browses the "new posts list", scans the "newest" urls, and opens them. unfortunately it creates as many windows as there are posts, so you screen gets crowdy rather quickly. opening stuff into tabs would be more practical, but as I mentionned, I don't know such an automated javascript function yet (probably because it's proprietary to firefox).
Laziness is the word! The thing is, I'm used to the function in forums that open all external links in a new window.

1. can you fix this? http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3883
The name of the guest is too big, the forum is all messed-up.
2. Can you make ALL links open in a new window/tab? I often open a link and then close the window/tab, instead of pressing Back. That's a standard in almost every forum, I would appreciate if you change this :)
tnx

ComicalFlop, you've improved so much. Honestly, I remember watching V1 and saying, this n00b can't TAS DKC2, even though he loves the game, leave it to Sami and Arne. Boy, was I wrong.
I'm looking forward to further WIPs for this run. Continue the great work!
