How did I miss this thread? I am totally gonna play it. *downloads* EDIT: Hmm. Apparently Wine does not like this game. I was playing with an epilepsy-inducing upside down screen. XD

I can honestly say I have only watched until the 1st boss. Fuck me. Yes. (On that note, I fully expect a 100% run Tompa. FULLY expect. As well as another kewl haircut photo that makes you look holy or whatever.)

You have "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" but no "Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding"? I love how he starts off sombre and slow and randomly transitions to badassery and quickness. Blows my load every time :3 Aside from The GYBR album, though, I am not too familiar with him... clicking links HO!

I admit, I didnt watch the movie. (No emulator for my system) I have never been able to make the gambit skip trick work on an emulator, no matter how hard I tried. I think the emulator simply does not emulate the game 100%. That being said, I dont think my attempts ever froze/crashed the game.

Are you asking for a ROM? Because you can't do that.

Even though I have not yet listened to either of these, I still have to say JXQ is the king of video game rap... or at least at referencing videogames. /me puts JXQ's dick back into mouth :3

OTOH unless you can download a version of the program specifically for OS X, you usually need to compile the unix program from sources before you can run it in your mac. I don't really understand how "the unix downloads works" for you...
Admittedly, I couldn't think of a good example until today. When I tried to run the program, OS X warned me "This is a Unix program downloaded from the internet... etc etc." Fun times with gray area!

I have not played the game. If 8 are typically required, why not "Full Sanctuary Run" and the other be "Low Sanctuary Glitched Run"?

I think I have to go with "Why Japanese programmers should not dress in red caps and take acid."

Really good point, Warp. As I (believe) I said, I use OSX, but am confused when downloading some program from a website. OS X is sometimes not listed, but the UNIX download works, while other times it does not. Confusing for non-techies like myself.

No, no. I didnt find much entertainment in the movie, but can see where others may find entertainment/nostalgia. And the tech looked pretty good. I watched the youtube version, so it wasn't with lua script running. It may have improved entertainment, but the game (to me) is still boring :P

Jeeze, talk about taking artistic liberties. Those fangs and arms are a tad on the ridiculous side of things :P Not seeing the sprite for really cut down the entertainment for me, but everything else look good otherwise. 4/7 respectively. I am going to have to go with a YES.

Agreed. Lua scripting has now become the whore of choice, especially considering what some people (Xkeeper) have done with just an NES game. Maybe there could be a script to show you what pokemon you would encounter when stepping onto a space at frame X. That would be really, really nice. It seems Lua has turned into the next requirement for creating TASes... kind of like frame advance was a few years ago.

The only time it is allowed is with the DS or PSP. You have to build some craaaazy contraption to keep the damn system still as you play it. Also, no webcams :P

No. Wikipedia is a good search tool. PSP emulator is a good search for it.

Turn your PCM down from max.
It's not at max, and it doesn't explain why it's terribly noisy, but if I pause and resume playing, the sound becomes ok.
Could be some static on the actual sound device.
