There NEEDS to be the pokemon run in there... more like a pokemon glitch, though EDIT: I think that should be the GBx game of the year

Goodness, here I watched the run and forgot to comment/vote. Dammit, I wish I could play this game as well as your TAS D: 8/8

I agree with moozooh. Yes, we are rerecording, but we are playing the original, unedited game. There is no invincibility, no editing of hit boxes (making them unable to be hit, for example), nothing that changes the physical game's state. All we do is slow the game waaaay down, and may include some tools that show (but not edit) hit boxes. The reason we require the movie files is to make sure the movie is played legit. When playing with a gamegenie, your movie will not synch unless the codes are enabled on everyone's emulator. Since the ROM does not save codes, let alone keep them enabled, the movie will desynch and we will have a 'cheater' so to speak.

Well, I may be able to employ one of my art homies, or perhaps work together with him on it. Although having a knack for the arts, I have about 0 formal training... so I am a much better at critiquing than doing. If someone else happens to pick this up, I would love to work with you on this :D

"I beat Super Mario Bros. in 5 minutes. Want to have sex?" - Andrew Gardikis I would buy THAT shirt. And I would buy one for my good friend Andrew...

Here are many of my favorites.

What's the deal here? At around 11 AM, some user called erokky started disrupting the IRC chat, especially since she was already making a pass at me twice by far.

Not only did she cause an incident, the little t*** hacked my MapleStory avatar. I guess I will have to find an image host other than ImageShack. Damn traitor. Does anyone care to host this 96x96 x 2.34k GIF file? Where was a channel op when erokky caused random crap in the room?

Ok, listen here, no further input will be recorded at all, and will not be recorded unless I find a way to get it into the movie file!!! Dammit

I would buy a mouse pad displaying some lua program for LoZ II (where the enemies have life points or what have you). I think that would look sweet as hell

I don't remember that trick ever being mentioned, so nice find! Only really useful for glitchless or 100% runs obviously. But why do you hate the other thread so much? :P

Shouldn't you cancel this and re-submit? I'm pretty sure that would help out your below average technical score, since the only reason that seemed to suffer was because of the ending.
It's not like this is a ratings game... unlike the "news" shows that are on TV. Seriously, fuck anything but The News Hour on PBS.

I am for changing the publication picture. Although I think the picture is hilarious, I do not feel it is informative enough for the visually oriented movie viewer. I was scrolling through recent publications, downloading ones I thought look interesting, when I came across this gem. I have no clue what the game is about, have never heard of it before in my life. Does it look like DOOM? Is it a 3D labrynth strewn with monsters? I don't know, because "It is dark." Basically, I look for interesting screen that say "download me, for look at my awesome 8 bits of mayhem inspired graphics," not a joke that, all though funny, shows me zilch about the game.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a profession to get to.
A lot of the guys here act like it is a profession, especially with the whole "failure is not an option" or "it must be [frame] perfect for the clients [aka watchers]" I, for one, will never be able to do a serious TAS, but c'mon, I like to play around and try to get as fast a time as possible casually. If perfection isn't an option, count me in... and this here challenge isn't something to be published, but to have fun with... remember what the word fun means? I don't see what there is to debate. If you don't like the idea then ignore the topic.

Only the quality ones. I enjoy seeing the hilariously bad pictures some people make. The quality ones actually take away from my enjoyment of the site T_T

Firefox also has single key navigation (in fact, it frequently annoys me when I hit the shortcuts accidentally...), though I don't think any torrent add-on available is worth picking over, say, micro/utorrent.
I don't think there's a build for the Mac; most of the programs I've tried kind of suck except for Azureus (which incidentally fails to download .torrent files from tasvideos some of the time... almost all of the time until I upgraded to the latest release a few days ago). Good to know about the 1-key shortcuts in Firefox though!
OT: I use transmission Desty, just switched to it over azureus actually. I have to say, I would NEVER go back to that resource hog ^_^ I highly suggest testing out transmission, it has a few less features but just as much punch as that blue frog. [/OT]
