Wow, this thread is awesome! Some of the sayings are so insanely rediculous (sp) that I just laugh my ass off... then again, our sayings are sure to be just as weird to other countries XD

I would find great hilarity in you writing a screenplay about how the Trix Rabbit, after losing his Trix for the nth time, commits suicide. And then you fast-forward to 20 years later, and the kids are all selfish pricks who share nothing, and mock those who try to get whatever they have... or something XD

Does getting navi to talk require an amount of time to pass, or is it luck manipulable?
What? Dude, that was not a question that RuleZ. I don't think you can manipulate anything out of Navi, but your question is of poor English and is not understood. At all.

Generally, Sync Sound makes sound more accurate, but in 1.51, it makes noise samples a bit strange. I haven't figured out why. Also, now Sync Sound affect AVI output! (sample) but I have modified only Windows version.
Which sounds is the game supposed to make? The first one had differences in his throwing coins, while the second (synched) sound had the coin throwing the same sound.

Really, if it's so important that an obsolete run does not stay up just remove it from the site, putting a placeholder up is silly.
You make a good point. TASvideos is not a placeholder, so I agree that a placeholder run should not be published. But I will accept whatever the judge's decision ;D

Yay! Dammit is back TASing again! Sadly, will have to watch tomorrow, for bedtime is now. Will edit later with my vote. EDIT: Well, I am giving this a weak yes vote. I began to get bored towards the end, but judging from the reactions of everyone else, 7 minutes is simply amazing. Also, I did enjoy not knowing what the hell you were doing (ie. running on water)

While publishing as a concept demo is a good idea, one small problem is that the site does not (as far as I can tell) very clearly distinguish between concept demos and "normal" publications, and the concept demo may well pass for a regular publication. In that sense it doesn't really solve the dilemma itself.
To be the devil's advocate (sorry ^_^) couldn't we put in the actual publication "THIS IS THE CONCEPT OF THE NEW ROUTE, NOT AN ACTUAL RUN" Well, I just fucked myself there, because it IS an actual run, but at the same time, it is not. Never mind. Warp 1, Sticky 0

Well, why not publish this run as a concept demo? It show the concept of the new run/route, but is not publish worthy (due to "laziness" or whatever else you guys want to call it) to replace the older, but longer, OoT run. Everybody wins! o/*\o

I am very unpumped I have to wait until after work to watch this video. Also, your english would be greatly improved if you spelled out whole words, not that aim speak bullshit such as "sry" or other such words.

I just want to give you props, guidmorrow, because adding those "subtitles" for the clueless ones [read: me] made this movie infinitely more interesting. I watched one of your earlier WIPs and was bored to death, but I actually sat through the whole run! Good idea, man!

Anyone for a glitchless run?
Pika PIKA! But, more seriously, I don't think it would be different enough to warrant a new run. The only difference that would be noticeable, to me, would be the god damned rat running around complaining he isn't used first all the time... and Team Rocket sucking balls constantly.

No, Oregon Trail is not worth speed-running. I loved this game to death as a kid (and I still do love it,) but this game is slow as molasses and nothing can speed it up. Sure, you could manipulate luck, or see how many people can die of dysentary (sp), but it is a real time game that would be interesting only to the player. A TAS would be long, dull and pointless. I will change my mind if you can tell me 3 things that a TAS could do that a real person could not do in real time. Luck manipulation excluded.

I can tell you this is certainly not a TAS-able game.
I can understand making a thread about a game you're thinking about working with. I can even understand making a thread about a game you'd like to see done (although I don't usually like when it happens). But I cannot understand why you continue to create new threads about games that you know won't make a good TAS! If you know a game isn't a good choice, why do you continue to pollute the forums so often with so many of these types of threads?
Maybe he is possessed by the Devil?

Wrong you are! My Barney Hide and Seek run is there, and it plays 9 different genesis titles of the same game!

Jesus Christ you guys are like pirahnas (sp). As ShadowWraith said, this is place where rerecording is a positive, and speed runs played by humans are a negative.

That second game sounded like Golden Axe, but it is surely not that. Not once do you fight in a factory :P
