Could you explain, please?
Can do! It seems whenever someone finds something interesting, whether useful or not, you feel the need to tear it apart and write reasons why it does not deserve to live. That is great for some professions, but annoying for hobbyists. Can't something just be cool? Long story short, I have finally discovered that I can laugh at your over-thought posts and then ignore them because ---------- I don't care! (The '---' leads to tension for my dramatic reveal)

Is there anything more to this game than run right and shoot stuff? I played the first level a couple of months ago; all I remember are raptors being dicks to dodge. It was nice to see the raptor's asses kicked and the neat ladder climbing trick -- but I don't think 40 minutes of shooting up ladders and not getting hit by raptors would be entertaining. I hope more people chime in, so you don't have just one opinion.

Yeah, invincibility is only for five seconds or so. I see the infinite jump coming in handy for the third stage, if I remember correctly. The problem is that Aero cannot jump through platforms other than the ones he must make disappear. Without the forward movement there are very few places he will be able to shortcut to.

I don't think this is worth pursuing. The game is incredibly boring, and slow. Not to mention it is a minimalistic auto-scroller. There is not much substance to play around with.

I was wondering where that Mega Man came from. I have a salty taste in my mouth. The only way to quench it is more TH runs :3~~ Bossy is right, this was basically my childhood game. I downloaded the soundtrack once. And sang along. I don't know who any of the bands are, but I sure as hell know these songs. Good job, bud!

Funguy10 for not being fun. JXQ vs. Phil for endless hours of entertainment. Dacicus for being so gosh darn nice in IRC.

The sound effects for this game sound a lot like the Taz games on Genesis. More Taz Mania than Escape From Mars.

Replace Spongebob with Ren & Stimpy and Beavis and Butthead, and you have yourself my childhood.

Seriously, if the current generation of systems is full of generic/crappy shooters, the 16 bit generation was full of generic/crappy platformers. Innovation which is implemented well is a rare thing, no matter what the technology, and the SNES/Gens was just as full of filler as the PS/xbox is (although I don't think any system will ever match the Wii for poor signal/noise ratio)
Double post and quoted for truth.

I don't know if it was already said, and quite frankly I don't care that it is a technology based innovation. Pong was what brought video games into households. Whether or not it was the first video game, it sure as hell was the first popular faux-wooden box to reach mainstream success. Whenever it comes up in conversation, the older generation will get sparkly-eyed nostalgia. "When I first saw I could control that thing with this stick, I was like 'WOW! THAT IS SO FAR OUT!'" Can you really beat the innovation of gaming itself?

I thought about Weinerville recently, but I couldn't remember the name. What a weird/bad show. My contribution to Electospecter's list is The Busy World of Richard Scarry. I would look forward to sick days so I could watch Nick Jr. and that show. It should be on DVD. Eureeka's Castle is pretty dope, too.

I agree; they would be annoying. I understand why it would be nice to include them in publications, but I already saw the tasvideos spiel before the run started. I want to see the video game in its original state, not watch a glorified TASTV Channel with icons everywhere.

From what you say, it reminds me of Prince of Persia. I can almost guarantee that is not the game you were thinking, though.

Thank God for that bump. In other news, I do not remember playing this game. Ever. Yet three years ago I claimed I did. Go memory loss!
