Ah, but you forget, this is inside a VM. Set the VM Desktop resolution to be bigger than your capture resolution and you can capture in 1440p. The VM software would either rescale or add scroll bars.
What VM software are you using?
Ediy: Sorry feos, I knew of this solution a long time ago, but I didn't think you would want to go through the trouble of setting a VM just to capture, lol.
Ah Hi Aktan, I am using a specially modified version of a VM (that I modified myself) called oracle. I can change the mupen64 to the screensize I want, but I have to use some hack you made to get the avi capture working. (It might be my computer but the link to this hack Is not working)

Hi everyone, I am thinking of encoding my TASes in 1440p. Is there a way to fool my mupen (which I have just got to work in my VM) to display at 1440P without breaking it. my computers screen is displayed as 1280 x 800.
In other words. I want to make mupen record at 1440p while inside of the VM.

Hey welcome to the mac club. I have a similar issue with my mupen where I installed the necessary components and I still can't run mupen. something about failing to initialise direct 3D.
