Followed the instructions and it did play back just fine here. It is hard for me to say if the levels were completed as fast as possible, but I think I saw some places (like the first roller skates, you could probably have gotten them later and put down a new bomb to clear path earlier, and later you put a bomb incorrectly and didn't fix it) where you could do some improvements. Other than that, you did some really nice stuff on some maps abusing the map wrapping, and I really liked the last boss (before he dies first time), how you kept on pushing bombs into previous explosion to keep the fire alive :P Unfortunately I believe you can improve a little upon this run, and thus I cannot give you a yes yet :) It is a good run for first submission tho.

The run itself looks good, the game is a mere 'Meh' tho. Since I dont' see any way to improve it I'll still give it a yes :P

1 second :E (this smiley is biting lower lip) I almost wish that Bisqwit had encoded the one without Murder Beam, the final fight looks a lot better without it :) And the input length is shorter (if you don't enter menu twice input length (movie file size)) would be even smaller :) I have watched this run 3-4 times now :P Or more.

So the extra missiles you have left over cannot give you that 1 extra second? ^_^;

Compared Frame count... When the timer countdown for escape starts. (After MB dead) Murder Beam: about 165550 No Murder Beam: about 164000 That means that the No Murder beam is faster by almost 25 seconds? And you can also enter the menu last time where you recharge energy the final time. (saves 2 times into menu), and you can also use the remanining missiles on Mother Brain... Is murder beam really faster?

Nice :) Questions: - in v2 you got 3 E tanks. in this you get 4, but you do not need 4 ? - at the second heat room (around frame count 49000), you wait for a life pickup from a killed enemy? - around frame 114000 you get energy refill, do you need it? If you do, you have just been in menu and done weapon changes (remove ice beam), could you have done that while refilling energy instead? Otherwise, yet another nice job! :D

Hehe, quite a funny game actually... High humor content here :P Your planning seems to be well documented and since I don't really know the game it seems well performed :P Atleast I can't see anything to improve. So +1 Yes.

So the draining of life is slower than the refilling, guess you have tested. I love the way you jump to keep the speed on some maps, too bad that this isn't possible to use more often.

whee, thats really nice. What I'm sure you've tested, but that I was wondering about, is if it is faster to do like you did, get to end of level without life to make scoring faster, or is it better to end with full life, to avoid life refilling? The life refilling seemed faster than the scoring :P

I think you are overestimating the conform effect on an online community. I'd say some people might just vote no to prove some insignificant point as to vote yes because everyone else did.

Shining Force... I don't think I've ever heard of the game before, and when it comes to genesis runs, I'm a bit more reserved to watch them, since gens forces your desktop resolution into 16bpp. (I've had some unfortunate crashes due to that) If you want to force people to check it out, don't be afraid to join us on IRC. Actually I would encourage it.

This run is a 14% run for fastest time. The currently published movie is a ANY% fastest time. The idea of this movie is to complete it fastest possible with least possible items. That is why the glitch is not used on motherbrain, as that requires all the beams.

Wow, nice 14% run Teri. One question... Do you need 3 energy tanks? If you skip the second energy tank (After Kraid), you may be able to finish with 13%? ...
