i tried the flagpole glitch, this is what i got http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1392490150/marioluigi%20world%203-1.fcm i just suck at it. anyone have tips??
I'll give you directions to do the flagpole glitch: Jump off the tip of the block - press A for one 1 frame, while you're falling in the air, press left for 1 or a few frames, then try to press right for maybe a few frames while you're closer to the block with the pole, when you're about to enter the block, press left-right or left, do nothing for the next frame, then press right for one frame if you have to, and last, press left-right-a or left-a. If you want to see a video tutorial, see my tutorial video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUclWBteK_0 Good luck doing the flagpole glitch! (:

Happy Birthday! But the vine glitch didn't help so I loaded another savestate and then I got stuck when I couldn't do the flagpole glitch at 3-1.

What do you need help doing?
I thought some of the levels can improveable and I thought I need some help, I got stuck on 3-1 because I can't do the flagpole glitch, it was hard to do at that one level.

That's a cool glitch, but it doesn't seem like it'll help you speed up the run at all. You should continue looking for them, though, as if you can find one that yields a faster completion time than the regular SMB run, it'd probably be worth publishing. :)
I didn't try to do a speed run, I just did the run for fun and found the glitch. How can I download Microstoarge FM2 movies? because I can't. I think HappyLee's warped movie is unimproveable.

You told him that he was going to cancel his own run? Anyway, I still think a Lost Levels Luigi run would be incredible, and I hope you'll consider trying it TMWF.
I'm maybe not, The SNES emulator was hard for me to play on, I wonder if I could team up with HappyLee and Mars on Super Mario Bros. 2 (J).

HEY! HEY! HEY! let's not talk about the lost levels let's talk about all night nippon mario.
This should maybe be the last post about Super Mario Bros. 2 (J).

What about a Luigi version run of SNES Lost Levels? I figure it'd be as useful as the original Luigi version.
I hear HappyLee and Mars is doing one
I'm doing a NES version right now.
Nice. Good luck beating Phil! That would be an epic first publication.
No, I met warpless, I'm at 4-4.
Oh. That could be cool too. Have you found any situations in which Luigi's increased jump height pays off?
I think that will happen later in the game? Please watch my run when I'm finshed, Note that I will do ALL worlds. Aw... I hate the SNES emulator, I can't do it all over again, that means I just wasted my time! Well... looks like I got to do a warpless run of All Night Nippon. Edit: Sorry about all these posts, this is a habit.

Somehow I thought of not make an improvement, this or my future improvement could be rejected by: - Bad game choice. - Not good as Phil's Super Mario Bros. 2 Luigi run. Sadly, this is the only game I could think of to submit. ):

I messed up, I clicked save too much since I thought my computer isn't working, I tryed to cancel the multiples of my submissions, since I went on about like 3 submissions, I was banned for 6 hours.
In your defense, this site should have methods to prevent you from submitting multiple runs at once in the first place. Just try to be more careful next time. What are your thoughts on my suggestions for future runs?
I already did a future run, I did a Mario version, I will post a submission of that soon.
I really don't think that would make for a good run. That'd essentially be a carbon copy of regular SMB1 with a different final level. I'd almost definitely have to vote No on that one. I'd be very interested in a Lost Levels Luigi run, though. Please make that! :)
My Mario movie seemed more entertaining to me than this submission, but I'm not in to making a warpless run.

Mod Edit: Normally I wouldn't edit a double posting, but considering I warned you once in the thread you created for this game (after 6 consecutive posts), I figured I'd remind you again: There is an Edit button. Please use it.

I improved the run by 1 second, and didn't waste 3 frames over the two Boswers.

well i know what you can improve. it's possible to walk through walls with Luigi in 1-2. and why did you used the vine in 4-2? i suggest seeing the smb resources page... where it says "application: jump to a wall and walk through it"
Its not possible for Luigi to go through walls in 1-2 and 4-2, I tried, and I already know about going through walls, there's no way to get Lugi on the screen farther so I had to take the vine.

I watched the run on Youtube, and it was okay. My suggestion to you is to do a warpless run with Luigi, to show how his different physics results in different gameplay.
That was supermariobros3636's run, He didn't the flagpole glitch, but I did and posted my run on Microstoarge, and I don't think I will do a "warpless" run.

I'll improve my movie till like a few days since I had to waste 3 total frames over the 2 Bowsers.
