I wouldn't recommend a TA on this game for a few reasons. 1.The dialogue alone would make it more than an hour. 2.You could skip collecting some items, but in the end you probably would only beat a normal 100% speedrun by a few minutes. 3.You could beat Startropics II: Zoda's Revenge alot faster than this game. 4.Except for the boss fights, It really would look like a video walkthrough.

I love them all, but I like 3 and 6 the best. 3 introduced rush and had the best ending out of all the original games and 6 had great rush transformations and gave you a good reason to replay old levels. Although 6 may be a little hard when you get to the wily levels, It is better than Rockman 2's wily levels. It is also the only ending where Rock sends Wily to jail. Rockman 4 also has a pretty good story and the best opening music.

I decided to not do it. It wasn't very interesting and had me warping very fast, that it looked extremly unnatural (I was collecting the item before touching the walls) I played about the first 7 levels in less than 2 minutes, so, theoritcally the game could be completed in about 7 minutes using only warps. That would be very stupid because there is a level skip code anyway that you perform each level. If, though, you wanted a pure speedrun (I would use lasers) then I could make that. I will not use warps though because they make it look stupid.

I have 25 NES Games, 2 regular controllers, 2 zapper guns, 1 pilot controller (soon to have 2 powerpads), and 2 NES Systems (Old Version and New Version). I only buy the games when they are cheap (Here, they are about 15 US Dollars a game) so I collect N64 games more because they are about 2-7 dollars a game.

The A.I never has the advantage because it is exactly what the name says, "Artificial Intelligence". The game cannot think for itself, which is the reason why timeattacks can be mimicked

Well, If that is what you believe then I cannot say anything to change your mind. The videos are made to be cool, not to show off superhuman skills.

That is to say, loosely: "By the way, in Ikehara Shigeto's manga, [Centaurman] was drawn as a female character (!) who was in love with Knightman. "She was a beauty (?) with long blonde hair. I seen a picture from that manga. I thought he was just drawn to make him look like a bishounen (like Zero).

I just started recording and I made some interesting discoveries. I have successfully (in 4 tries even though I savestated 6 because I savestate at title, start game, first step, and jump) fallen threw the floor at the ledge on the left at the start of the game (in real time, no slowdowns) and turned while I was falling throguh the floor. If this is the fastest way to get to the woods, I'll save the video and use it in my run (I don't have to turn around, I just wanted to see if it was possible). I also find it many times easier to time my fall in real time then in slow motion because I always whip too early in slow-mo. Anyway, I can't host the .fmv, but i'll send it to Bisqwit right now. Edit: In the actual video, I try once and then I complete it after that (If I don't get it on the second one then I undo). I think it would be much faster to leave it like that then to make it look perfect on the first run because I would take too much time lining Simon up on the ledge to make him fall on the first try.

I wouldn't care, but mo only video cureently isn't really a classic....... When is the DVD going to be published? If it is going to be done before May15, then you won't be able to use my super fast Castlevania II video because it won't be completed by then (Im still trying to perform the glitch more than once. I already accomplished performing the fall through floors mutiply times and it takes me less than 20 tries to get it right [most of the time])

New glitche finded!!
What was the new glitch? When I usd to play this game as a kid, I actually found to glitches (both useless to timeattacks) that I haven't seen online. The first I think you did on the video (stand in the floor happen when you jump at a ledge) and with a magic carpet you can go into the floor (if you are positioned correctly) and not get out. The most annoying (and hateful) glitch ever is when you have toadstools in this formation: ........TTT ......T......T OOOOOOOOOOOO T=toadstool O=Floor and you pick up one of the toadstoola and either: a.) an enemy hits you and you get trapped inside because the stool fell, or b.)you miss throwing the stool and get stuck. The first time it happened I wish in world 7 (the first time I got there) and had to reset the game because I got stuck.

Actually, there is a Rocman 7 nes hack. I think that it only has the four orignal robot masters in it though. I haven't played it for more than a couple of minutes, but it is probably more like a pirate than a hack.

Omg, this game scares me..... Perhaps the reason is because it was a graphics hack called "**** Kids" Other than that, it does seem to have some potential. Do you have an idea of about how long it will take you to beat the game?

"Doh" is the first level on Arkanoid 2 (The Moai Head) and he is alot harder..... Is someone going to do a speedrun for this game? If not, I'll make one in a couple of minutes (It will take less than 20 minutes to complete)

Castlevania 64 would be the most boring of ALL Castlevania games to watch..... Anyway, I won't be able to go straight to deborah's cliff. I have to get the Red Crystal and some Laurels before I can go there. If completed perfectly, it would be the fastest completion of this game EVER without using gamegenie. Edit: WITHOUT PASSWORDS.....

Well, I got there once, and I warped to the town before the cliff once, but I found it quite hard to do. Now, with the 60fps hack, it should be alot easier to do.

I just wanted to note that the original fmv of that movie has it called the "SUPER BAKA TECHNIQUE". In other words, the super stupid technique (Baka in Japanese = stupid, idiot)

Ok, it seems as though I am making a new time attack of Castlevania 2. I'll send you another .fmv with both glitches in it, bisqwit. Edit 1: I did not notice that I wasn't recording so you will have to wait for me to get glitch 2 again. I also have found out that it is easier to do them at normal speed and not slow the speed down. I also found out a new glitch. If you jump right while flying twords the wall (as soon as you get hit from the skull right at the moment it changes screens) it warps you back to the town right before deborah cliff.

Sure.

As for the holy water, wouldn't you need it to get the whip upgrades?
Yes. Though the whip upgrades aren't necessary. In the latest version (the link is in some earlier post), I played the first three mansions with leather whip. Dracula is most probably possible to beat with the leather whip too - it just takes 8 times more hits.
Ok, I'll send it now. I have done the glitch a couple of times in regular play now trying to get to Deborah Cliff (I didn't need to do them). Well, I have been trying to get that glitch to work, but I am not quite clear on the directions. I am right at Deborah Cliff with Red Crystal as my only item and trying to get hit by the flying skull, except for the fact he doesn't fly high enough. Do you know if it is possible to kneel somewhere else besides touching the wall? On David Wonn's site he said the skull is supposed to hit you as the tornado touches you.

According to David Wonn's site, It warps you to the first room of Dracula's Castle. It will have messed up graphics, but they return to normal when you get to his lair. You don't need to beat the last two mansions. In other words, the game will assume you have all items of dracual when you really don't. Thanks for making the video. I played it through frame by frame and I should be able to do it again in a couple of minutes. Edit:I did it almost immediately when I started, but I accidentily hit re-record instead of save. I'll try it again. The spot it worked at was where the white-crystal merchant is. When you fall through the floor, you fall and hit the bottom of the next floor, so it would be good for a time attack.

You might want to add in the video description that you can save a couple of minutes if you exploit some very hard glitches (I'll start working on it now to find a way to always fall through the floor. Then I'll put in a password for red crystal and get to Deborah's Cliff and see if I can perform the warp to Castlevania trick (What I wonder about the most is if the game actually thinks you have all the items when you do it if you only have the red crystal....hmmm) I don't really want to make a video of this game because I know it would not be very good (I don't really know my way around the game) but if I figure out how to always exploit the glitches then someone else can do a new vid. Did you ever happen to make an .avi file of the glitch. I want to study it ;)

Well it was me first who think this idea and it's pretty cool doing this when waiting in the game.Otherwise the character must stay in place which is pretty :O to watch.
It was cool the first time I saw it, but then it became disturbing. Especially in the Castlevania 3 movie I would have hoped that the character would stay still instead of looking so nervous. Turning left and right all the time doesn't look very cool. Would you think it's fun to do that, if you were the character? I think it's retarded if you get kicks from it every time the character does that. Calm can also be cool, did you know :) Nervous isn't cool.
Exactly what I thought the whole time I watched the movie. I wanted to just close my eyes because it was making me sick. I was just hoping that he would jump instead of moving back and forth (one time he did). Phil, If you make an improvement on AD then you should remove that. It's very annoying to watch.....

Right now the forum looks messed up to me, but I was going to do this game until I figured out that famtasia has some problems with savestates in this game. Have you run into that?

I have quite a few Japanese fonts that I could send you, but I don't remember what they are called. I found them online searching "Japanese Fonts" and a site came up that had about 20 different fonts.
