As impressive as ever. The speed really makes this game shine in TASing.
Anyway, I wondered why you used the card combo in the save room at Abyss Stairway, yet in all the subsequent saverooms you didn't?
Something I missed here, I presume.

No, my argument against using the hard mode in this particular game is that it doesn't alter the game in any fundamental way which would make it more interesting in tool-assisted context.
The fact that hard mode offers almost nothing compared to normal in this game, makes it a bad choice. Sure, you can pick up more stuff from the castle when going through it. Except that you don't in a TAS. Bosses have more HP so they take longer to kill. That would be good if the game was played in real time. In TAS, you basically repeat the same combination of moves until the boss dies. More HP makes it longer, thus repetitive and uninteresting.
And then there's the SRAM. SRAM's aren't usually accepted, so you need to get excepted from the rule for your movie to get accepted.

I haven't watched this submission yet, so I refrain from voting. In any case, I wouldn't hurry publishing this movie.
So, the practice hasn't changed (as was stated a few times before in this very thread.
EDIT: Ah well, let's link the thread here for good measure. Click.

I don't see the big deal in waiting some time before publishing this one. It was done with Phil's run when it was in workbench; nothing happened, it got published. Same deal here.
And I don't see why this raises such a fuss, it's not Phil who has anything against this movie.
EDIT: I didn't watch the movie and I haven't voted on the poll.

Seems like a very slow version of Contra series of games.
Well, I got a few chuckles out of it, hit detection is horribly bad. But then again, the horrible slowness makes it rather unappealing, it could be better without the lag.
Mixed feelings about this one, could become a good movie, but seems like it gets rather repetitive after the first level unless the game has some tricks up it's sleeve?

I'm all in for obsoleting Famtasia-movies and this is a notable improvement so easy yes.
This game indeed has one of the better NES soundtracks I've heard.

It kept me interested through the whole duration. Mainly because maneuvering gets harder and number of enemies increase, so later levels aren't as repetetive as you might think.
Playing the hidden rooms was also a very good idea, the solutions are so absurd it's worth showcasing.
I'm also curious as to what you did in room 30, why leave those 5 thingies uncollected?
I'll go yes for this one.

Okay, watched it fine up to the ending with 0.98.15-rerecording.
(and indeed the rom was named Pinball Quest (U).nes)
At least the concept to this game is odd. Throw in the usual RPG-cliches and make it a pinball game?
Well, it seems to be well played, but I really can't tell with the ball going through solid stuff and all. It's nice and short also, you get right to the princess rescuing stuff.
Is level 2 shorter than the rest or did you skip some stuff in the beginning? Looked like you went straight for the boss.
And also, what's the deal with the GIANT MAGNET in the ending? Is this part of the game or the ending?
I'll vote yes, because this game is gonna keep viewers hooked for the 5 mins asking themselves who designed this game and what were they smoking at the time.
Good job.

I liked it.
Especially the places where light arrow could be used to it's full extent were fun to watch, though they lagged the game down a bit. Nicely executed run, didn't spot any fatal flaws during watching.

Seems like I'm a few minutes too late.
Anyway clear yes, improvement over previous version, fast paced movie with lots of cool tricks thrown in. What more can one want from a movie? ;)

I liked it. True, it gets a bit repetitive but the coordination invested more than makes up for it. Intriguing to see all those shots hit something.
A clear yes-vote, even though this has been accepted.

Okay, here's the info from an earlier ROM I had, I guess this is the one used for BoltR's run. I can't access the run at the moment either so I can't be sure.
Could your run be on a newer version or something? Not that I know if any exist.

If I recall correctly, getting all 151 Pokemon just by playing the game is not possible. Mew, #151, was only obtained into game by downloading it into cartridge in some gaming expos where Nintendo had booth. [...]
However, I also recall that there rumoured to be a glitch in game, which would allow to catch Mew ingame, but I never succeeded performing this glitch and it was mostly supposed to be a hoax.
