I liked this. A nice movie on a different variation of the classic game. It was smooth, the game actually *looks* very hard, a thing not many games achieve. Out of curiosity, what's the deal with the mirror? Anyway, yes.

edit: Is your sound driver set to something else than Snes9x DirectSound? Try setting it to that, or see what happens if you uncheck "Sync samples with sound CPU" when you play the movie in the modified v7.
Sync samples with sound CPU was the option causing trouble. After unchecking that it ran perfectly through. Thanks for the help. This is a lot faster run than the currently published one and in addition, manages to keep the game relatively fast-paced and interesting to watch, thanks to variety of moves used. I see no reason why this shouldn't obsolete the current run. YES.

I just can't get this movie to play without Snes9x dying horribly on me. Using improvement7, the movie plays fine for some seconds and then just crashes. I usually get to character select screens, sometimes even to the very beginning of the stage1. Mazzeneko's runs fine though. Maybe it's an option somewhere that I have overlooked but seems quite strange.

Indeed awesome work. I'd really like to see this being continued, but at least you proved doing this was feasible and can produce entertaining videos. I agree with Nitsuja, many very very unlikely things happened, namely the huge amounts of crits you got. :)

Excellent work as usual. Especially doing the chapter 7 in 2 turns was quite nice. The criticals are always cool, so no problem there. Keep it up!

Improvement over a previous version, fast gameplay and nice tricks performed with the star. Obvious yes.

Excellent movie. Action overload. Some much stuff happening so fast, this is an insane movie. One cannot get bored while watching this one. I especially liked the ninja roping, the first boss was very very nicely done. Good job, obvious yes.

Ah, this explains it then. Been quite long since I last played this game so all those little details are gone from my memory. :P This will indeed be interesting, looking forward to see what kind of stunts can be pulled off with luck manipulation like this.

I'm rather fond of keeping the animations on, since otherwise there's not enough diversity in the movie. Lightning fast movement and menu handling is cool and all, but it really can't hold up the whole movie. Anyway, fast movement + battle scenes = instant win. I wouldn't worry about the plot scenes. Was there a reason why you had Sain miss repeteadly or was it because the random number chain needed altering? That document is quite enlightening, though it seems that manipulating luck is a pain in this game. Anyway, good work, I'll be following this.

I'd like to see either one of these games get decimated. Though I'm not sure if they would produce movie interesting enough for publishing here.

I'm very interested in seeing James Pond -games done since I remember playing them as a kid. I think it was on PC though. I can remember these were fast-paced and very Zool-alike. As Dark Mana suggested, I remember these being hard as well. Fast pacedness should make for an interesting movie.

Nice work there. A clear yes -vote, for entertainment value which is off the charts. I agree with Spacecow, if this is published, then the published video should be like the WIPs DeHacked has posted on the forums (ie. displaying both games side-by-side).

Matroska is a container format superior to AVI. Matroska is *not* a video codec. Pros that come to mind when using matroska are for example: Less overhead than AVIs (ie. smaller file size), possibility to use wider range of Audio/Video codecs than those handled by AVI (Ogg Vorbis, AAC), possibility to add chapters to files (could be cool for longer RPG-runs) and embedding of subtitles (which could be used for comments etc.). Hassle of getting MKV's to split correctly isn't that big. A) Use a player which has MKV-splitter built in (ie. MPC) or B) Install the Matroska DirectShow Filters. Both available from http://www.matroska.org/downloads/windows.html I don't see that as a problem, you have to install XviD/DivX -codecs to view the older vids as well, but this doesn't seem to bother people.

mkv?! Give me a break! Is there ANY rational reason for this?
Other than it being a superior container format to AVI? This has been discussed so many times in so many different threads that this is becoming quite annoying. It's new technology, get over it already and adapt.

Never heard of the game before this. It turned out to be a positive surprise. Positively retroish, platformed, fast-paced ninja-action; can't have too much of it. The run is very fast paced so it does keep interest up quite nicely, especially the base-stages were very nicely done and contained some cool manouvers. Apart from that, the run is quite solid without bigger mistakes nor bright highlights. Only true minus comes from the game's music which is very *very* repetitive. ;) YES.

Since VGMix was mentioned already I'll just list my favourites from there: Ailsean, Goat, Virt, Zyko, Housethegrate, Ashane, Vurez (and some others I might've forgotten to mention) From commercial productions my two favourite bands are Juno Reactor (Labyrinth rocks) and Infected Mushroom.
