Rygar gets decimated again, the game just is full of loopholes. :/ Great work as usual, a clear yes-vote.

A big improvement over previous version and I'm forgiving on stylistic choices. Actually I think most of those would've gone unnoticed if you hadn't said anything. I especially liked the battle with the clones, great job there. Yes.

Only known emulator to (re)record zapper input is Quietust's Nintendulator. But currently you are out of luck with submitting zapper-games here.

I agree, I don't anyone else has such a variety of obscure titles runned in his name. Castle of the Dragon and Sword Master could define the word unsual.

I agree with BoltR on Lost Vikings, very high entertainment value from (semi-)simultaneous control of 3 vikings. Apart from that, I also nominate Flashback by nifboy. It might be my golden memories with this game, but I found this movie extremely entertaining.

I'll nominate Walker Boh's warped Rygar run. (This one. ) Amazing usage of glitches to skip most of the game.

well a competition is a good idea but its quite a long game for that, since its like 24 something missions plus the training at the start that you need to complete to start campaign..
That's why we are talking about a single mission at a time. Ie. your entry is a playthrough of a single mission. Also, savestate could be provided, so that everyone starts at the same place.

btw i just thought of something. This game saves ingame whenever you complete a mission so to make a run you would probably need to start from an unused rom and watch it with an unused rom too right?
Doesn't it save it's data onto the SRAM, which is a separate file handled by the emulator. So the rom isn't modified during the gameplay.

I love the game(s) and when the rerecording emulator I conducted a small test on Adwance Wars 2. To my dismay, the results were quite horrible. Since we are aiming for speed here, the battle animations are unnecessary and should be turned off. This causes the game to degenerate into Menu Wars (2). Granted, watching the cursor move at lightning speed might be fast for a level or two, but the novelty doesn't last. EDIT: [Based on IRC-discussions] I think a competition type challenge might fit this game. Think a competition like the current RRROCKMAN!-competition. Single levels at a time to avoid frustration. Time measured in turns rather than seconds. Of course, this only works if there is enough interest.

My comments in this thread. I'll vote yes, because I still think this is a very solid run.

I think The Lost Vikings -movie could use a star, since the manipulation of the three characters has been done very nicely and it certainly demonstrates what can be done with tools.

Okay, watched the whole deal. I've never played the game myself, so I'm not going to say anything about the routes or strategies used. Overall I kinda liked the movie, lots of action and a few 'close call' -moments to spice things up. The visuals of the game were also quite okay. But the movie is LONG, 1:27. The game has trouble keeping interest up at points, especially bad were the vents you crawled through and the postage center -thingie with the cardboard boxes. Codec-calls/discussions were also present in a MGS-esque manner, but they were skipped quite swiftly. Then again, boss battles were quite fun to look at and especially the ending boss-marathon was good. Nothing too spectacular but quite solid run anyway.

I don't categories for worst <something> are good, especially movies. Even if the end result is bad, people have worked to produce it and I don't think it's fair or good conduct to bash those people and/or movies by selecting the worst of the worst. Same goes for forum members too. Trolls crave attention and what would be a better way to give it to them.

Well, what can I say. Excellent run. A very yes run indeed. Though I sense a big AVI-file coming out of this one. ;)

Now there is a series which rocks. Also Samurai Champloo is a great show, in a similar spirit. It's just the sheer *style* which makes those series so good. Though Trigun is my personal favorite.

A) It's IRC (internet relay chat) and not mIRC, mIRC is just a client used to access it. B) Why do we care about this? What does this even have to do with us? I don't see any real point there.

Just the sheer speed of this run is awesome. That combined with the movements and stunts pulled off makes this even more awesome. I especially liked the shortcuts used with the wall jump. I'm not so familiar with the game that I could say if the route and/or movements used were the fastest possible, but I trust the judgement of the author. Apart from playing, the game features a very good soundtrack (Observation room music rocks) and good visuals. A very entertaining package indeed. I see no reason why this shouldn't be published. An easy yes.

With a blade. You can clearly see the blade there! Though it hasn't got any grip so I wonder if it's built into his hand or something... (What do you mean it's a splash of water or something?)

If you had actually read the page, you would know that they DO offer host name cloaking without any kind of money transaction. " * If you'd like a generic user cloak, just ask a network staffer to turn it on for you. "

This is totally off topic, but tell me why would you like to hide your IP? I hope you are using a good proxy or else your IP is on bisqwit's logs.

I agree with earlier posters; I liked it. This run demonstrates same kind of quality as the earlier bomberman -run. Tricks done during the levels keep it interesting and twenty minutes isn't too long for it to get too repetitive. Enemies are evaded or disposed of very quickly and in very stylish manner. Only small complaint I have, is that you stand still when waiting for the amebas to "fill up". Couldn't you have done something during that time? It breaks the otherwise very speedy atmosphere a bit. Anyway, YES.

This works because this site is the first hit on google with search string 'bisqwit'. You'll get the same result by using Google's 'I'll try my luck' (or something) -button with that search string.

What's pirate game?!?
A pirate game is a unlicensed copy of a retail game, which may or may not have been modified prior to selling. In this case your game of choice has been altered to contain a cheat in the intro screen.

Well. A) The rules state that no patched roms are to be used. http://tasvideos.org/Rules.html B) Why do you even *need* the patch, why not play on regular SMB2J? C) What is this password-thingy? Is this a feature of the normal SMB2J without patches? Anyway, I haven't watched the movie, so I'm not going to vote, but this seems to break the rules.
