I just don't see the point WHY? I'm completely satisfied with the current quality of the AVI-files on this site. Raising the bitrate wouldn't bring that much of a quality gain so I see it as pointless. Or would you like to have 5.1 AC3 sounds with you movie? I however do agree that some movies could be bigger to accommodate for the excess movement and color in those movies (like the aforementioned sonic run). But those are just few exceptions and most of the movies are fine as they are now. [EDIT:] There's also the point with using bittorrent as a distribution channel. There would be far less seeders and thus less distributed copies if the sizes were huge. Normally I think people seed until their ratio is 1 or so. With huge sizes they won't bother if their upstream is quite low. There are really some bandwidth limitations, ie. limits on how much you can download per month in some countries / ISPs. I don't think they want to waste gigs of that for some speedrun. And then there are modem users... [/END RANT] I don't just see the point to moving bigger files. If that is done, at least have smaller files available too.

Multi-genius then, except maybe in game design and overall balancing. :)

I liked it. This game moves at insane speed (even when you note the PAL-bug and compensate) and manages to look hard. Nice moves and it's faster than the previous version. Now that the thing with the last boss is settled I see no reason not to accept this. Props to the the composer of the soundtrack for awesome music. :)

Overall I liked this submission, especially the moves with Nightcrawler in the temple(?) were cool. But as Truncated already said, there's obvious improvement to be made in the first level, so I'm not going to vote yes for this one. I'm sure the next version will be up for publishing. For the other sloppy parts I cannot really say, I have never played this game and it moves quite fast to be really observant. Only thing which I noticed was the stage with insects and plants looked a bit sloppy, but maybe it was because you took more hits there. Nice game you chose to run. I'll be sure to watch for the next version.

Very nice. This one has it all; nice and stylish moves, good execution and cool glitches. I especially liked how you handled those copies. And to top that all, it's faster than the earlier run. Nothing else to say, I liked a lot. Easy yes vote.

I liked this. Good moves and planning. Provided entertainment well enough to warrant it's 50-minute length. A clear 'Yes'-vote.

If it's encoded directly to the AVI, one cannot decide not to use them. Since the usual subtitle formats (srt) are small, there could be a possibility for the author to add the subtitle file once his/her run is approved of and published. Then again, is this really necessary? I think authors can convey those points with the submission text.

Oh, that was what I wanted to ask too: You manipulate luck to always Critical Hit the Metal Slimes; can you do this on the Dragonlord as well (I know it's possible to Critical Hit him), to perhaps speed the battle up further?
My uneducated guess is that the Dragonlord has some kind of damage reduction and you cannot do more damage than 1 (even with a critical) to him at such a low level. Feel free to correct me, I have never played this game.

Make sure you have blip's patched version of FCEU. Then load the correct rom and then from the file menu take play movie. Browse the correct (and inflated) movie file (.fcm) and press ok.

Overall, I liked this. I remember playing this a whole lot as a kid. Great planning and nice to see some multicontrolling for a change. Well spent 50 mins for me. :) Easy yes.

I've bought my NES-games (apart from those I got when NES was hot stuff) from eBay or it's finnish equivalent. Prices have been quite low, but I haven't even sought after rare games. I've also got a few old games from a local used books store, which carries old games (both computerized & tabletop). To my dismay, the store went out of business a few years back. They had really nice prices, like 5-10 euros per game. I haven't bought any old games in the last year or so though.

Gah, this trolling is getting way OLD. Seriously. Get some *new* ideas for your trolling and you might even provide entertainment for a few moments.

For bigger boards MinMax -type algorithm would be the best option to base the AI on. One could also try pattern recognition. http://ai-depot.com/LogicGames/MiniMax.html

Am I missing something here? I don't see any cool bug(s) in those pictures? Care to elaborate a bit?

I was bored to death when watching this movie. Granted, I've never played Where's Waldo, but this isn't good material for a speedrun. It's just too slow, and there isn't much action going on. Sorry, but 'no'. This is entirely the games fault.

I liked this, very entertaining indeed. This also quite easily approachable since most people have played some variant of tetris. Oh, the pauses didn't bother me at all.

Looking good, I'm really looking forward to seeing the final version. :) I remember playing this as a kid, but not getting too far. Though this seems to be quite easy now...

Wing Commander movie has a connection to the game series. The producer (or was it the director?) of the games, Chris Roberts, decided that he's better off in the movie biz and produced that big steamin ball of utter crap. The plot is ... lacking and using space ships in submarine-action... geh. I unfornately own the VHS-version of it. :/ http://imdb.com/title/tt0131646/

I liked the run. You were moving forward the whole time while avoiding obstacles and shots. I really couldn't find anything to whine about. The speed and a good number of enemies/obstacles kept me entertained the whole time. Even if you say you miss some shots on purpose I really couldn't notice them. I think you missed one shot at the twin snakes -boss, but I'm not sure. The texts that come after completion are quite funny, it's more like the game programmers are sorry that you had to play all the way through. :) 'YES'.

I too found it a bit boring. Especially the fact that every boss with a few minions is fought against twice. And considering the fact the levels consist of the boss and few enemies. :/ It didn't look that hard either, but that may be like battletoads which looks easy too. The good things were taking no damage and 2 player collaboration. There's never too many movies with two players. And you did manage to use quite an array of different moves. But this game just doesn't have enough potential to time attack.

I liked this one. I like runs which don't take any damage a bit more, because they seems more professional. I'm not familiar with the game, but I've watched devindotcom's run. You are moving almost all of the time and the times you stop to wait are obvious. You also demonstrate some funny glitches even if they don't speed the run up. Nicely done. I was wondering if using the fire whirl jutsu more could lead to improvement when you don't have to slash things. Everything seems to go down with one hit so it wouldn't probably matter much. I also take it that the spikes are unavoidable? Anyway, nice run. EDIT: Fixed a embarassing typo, I really should pay more attention to what I write. :/

Very nice run. You're in always in motion and don't have to wait for anything, that's good. Also you found some new glitches to do [pause glitch is awesome] and used some very neat shortcuts. I also liked the way you didn't collect anything but the absolute necessity and avoided those 'compulsory' items. I don't see this as a boring game, so definite 'yes'-vote.

You have a habit of doing some seriously weird games, no one else has never even heard of. Castle Of Dragon is refreshingly different to other side-scrollers due to the frequent mini-bosses. That is also the thing that keeps this movie interesting for the 7 minutes it lasts. This another game which seems to be easy and is very hard. I had to try playing it after reading your comments and this is downright nasty. I'm sure that knight has cement in those boots. Anyway, well played taking into consideration the huge flaws in movement controlling. I also liked those jumps where you in the first frame were falling to your death and in the next were standing on the ledge. By the way, does the blue dragon actually do something or did you just kill it so fast it didn't have time to? And could you have used some other weapon than daggers to kill those knights faster (mace maybe)? Anyway, voting yes because this is quite hard game and overall strangeness of the game (chicken-dragon hybrid as a boss).

My rom (which worked fine) has these:

My Snes9x is configured to 32 kHz sound (40 ms, 16-bit stereo). Funny, Snes9x gives different CRC32:
