I'd like to see you use it, it's much more entertaining than watch the scene all over again after I've already seen it a million times and it saves ~13 seconds. 1 pause menu won't hurt you that much.

Saturn didn't you already quit the RBO and any% projects? That leaves you only with SM:R TAS that I doubt you'll finish, you always seem to make excellent fast progress in the beginning of all your runs, but halfway or earlier you just stop. I think you'd get a lot more attention if you had shared all your tricks before someone else did.

Oh man I can't remember when I was this excited about a coming run last time, what's the progress now guys? I'm veeery much looking forward to this one, as I'm pretty sure the power rangers' run will take eternity with all the timesavers they're coming up with. :)

Now that the Blue Suit Jump trick is out, I might as well share another serious timesaver you can get with it. Only applicable in a 100% run though, so don't miss it Hero and Cpadolf:
Snail Shortcut
Saves more than 1,5 seconds right there (compared to JXQ's 100% v2 run).
I think that's been known for ages now, I remember a smv doing that with the spring ball.

Well I can't see much room for improvement in hero's run with the tricks we know, the improved Torizo Skip and the new OTES strategy are the only once that come to my mind like that, the run is optimized very far. I'd also say try low% out, I'd really much like to see that.

Well, I guess I'm too used with 1.43. It was just my opinion, and shouldn't really affect the version anyone starts a TAS with. I personally don't see that much difference with 1.51 and 1.43 graphics.

1.51 has better graphics quality, and supposedly better sound quality to but that I think is a matter of opinion.
I don't really give a shit about that when watching the TASes, I can see what's going on even on 1.43 and I don't stare whether there's 1 pixel blurry or not.

Seems everything about SM is fought about these days, who the credit belongs with timesavers, who finds something entertaining, etc. I think it'd be easier for everyone if none of the runs would be accepted.

I was thinking about if upward CWJ can be done after door transition? It would help probably in the transition between Green and Red Brinstar, getting you up earlier thus sooting earlier and making it before the ripper. Another place I thought this would be useful is pillar room -> gold pirate room in LN. These are both long shot but I can't test these by myself at the moment so I'll ask if anyone has information on it.

If it's only 7% why hasn't the low% run been replaced with that? Someone said they thought 0:15 was possible with this, isn't that pretty fast, does that beat game time record? Would the real time be much different than an hour like the current low% run is?
I prefer a bit longer, more entertaining run over many variations of the already seen run Kejardon invented. I don't really give much about how fast the game is beaten, just seeing really good optimization, nice bunch of speedtricks and a high entertainment value it's better than a boring TAS beating the game really fast.

Yeah why should they get any credit when your imperfect movie was the only thing that ever made any improvements possible. I think they would've achieved this level of optimization even without your improvable movie, just because Taco won't move ahead until he's tested all the possible timesaving options in one spot.

Gigantic improvement Hero, a sure yes vote of course. I think although CPadolf's run is very stylish, I'd also prefer this real-time TAS to be published. I think it sucks how many new strategies were found after hero was already past these points, mostly thinking of OTES and improved Torizo Skip. Here's some parts of the run I really liked/questions regarding it:
-Leaving PBs, was that upward CWJ strategy reall faster one?
-Could it be faster to do a CWJ from that last step in the Kihunter room/pre-WSmissilelake room and shoot that block in the air, then fall down?
-Nice strategy in the room before pre-ice beam room and also in pre-ice beam room in the way back
-Metal Pirates/those before Ridley, was awesome
-Also the room after, on the way back too
-Upward CWJ possible on the way to pre-Botwoon room?
Also, I find it weird my name has been on some thank lists while I haven't really found anything useful.
