Is it possible to manipulate better fights in the Queen? Some fights are certainly better than others.

8.0/3.0 Despite being painfully unoptimized, I still enjoyed watching the run. Highlight was the suicide against the Harpy, akin to the current MM2 run... although in this one, you actually lose speed for it.

What version of 1.43 are you using to make these? Snes9x crashes horribly with this ROM.

This submission blew my mind on more than one occasion. Stars, please!

Keep in mind, the chance for Astos' RUB (and pre-Floater Eye's) to be ineffective is pretty low to begin with. All of this is in degrees as far as how much TASing is involved, but on console this would typically take several tries.

Really nice, I liked the use of red essence at the end, was that required, or just for fun?
Bowser and Peach weren't wearing Super Suits, so they would've eaten it to successive Arrow Rains otherwise.

If you like the idea, you should make it! (It'd never get published.)

4/7.5. Never played or really heard of this game. You make this game look very easy, which is a compliment to the hard work you put into this TAS, but the game doesn't even look fun. The TAS doesn't make me understand why anyone would even like the game.

I'm surprised this movie wasn't published: - This was a pretty popular RPG series, back in the day, so rejecting on quality of game choice doesn't feel right. - The game is DESTROYED by the TAS. A typical run of this game would take days. So, we definitely don't have 'Walk to the right' syndrome. - We already have Might & Magic 1 published for NES. So, the only difference is entertainment. I guess the fight scene in M&M1 is enough to make it not-boring for the casual observer...

I almost have the feeling a 'glitch-fest' movie would be more entertaining than a fully-optimized speedrun here.

I'm 100% sure I would Yes this submission. But FFIVDS comes out state-side in a week, and watching speedruns tends to kill my drive to actually play the game, so I'll wait to watch this for a while.

I just re-watched this; it's a great TAS. One question, though - why grab the key after killing Thunderbird? There's no locked door to unlock. Will the screen not scroll forward until you get the key?
Correct.

My U ROM works in 98.15. Great improvement, almost seems obvious now in retrospect.

As a side effect, switches difficulty to Hard.
Thats an interesting way of picking difficulty.
This, of course, also has the side effect of doubling his final score.

Improvement to an already entertaining movie, the bonus stages really showcase this. Yes.

I don't think as many of you would be complaining if a Japanese TASer had submitted this. There is improvement that is independent of the ROM choice. So who cares what ROM he chose? Voted yes.

The game loops on 'level 24' however the viruses never go above 84.

I have to say as well, my first thought after watching this was thinking that the clone fight could be improved. However, not necessarily by speed, but by entertainment - it seems really unnecessary to get hit 6 times in the fight, is there no other way to get a perfect fight?

I hadn't seen most of these tricks before, so I was absolutely impressed. For those of you saying 'meh, boring', my idea of TASes is to utterly break the game in half. This run does that in spades.

Easy yes vote, entertainment value is so high I would even nominate for potential best SNES TAS of 2008 so far.
