True, but I seriously doubt the order of the stars will change in any meaningful way. Even if you did the stars in the lobby a little differently, I dont think there would be much of a difference in time.

I retract my attempt at cherity then. So its boring AND bad. bad run of a bad game? Either way, this is probably the worst timerun I have seen my whole time at tasvideos.

FODA's run pretty much nailed the rout I think... Any further run would probably use the same, or one very similar to it.

Not that it actually matters, but may as well conform to the naming scheme in place for this site. Rikku-sm64.m64 or something like that would work. But if it doesnt matter to you rikku, I dont care either.

Seeing as how Mario 64 120 star and mario 64 16 star runs both have stars, yes. Either that or that rule was only a guidline in the first place.

Improves an already great run! Huge yes vote. Really, really impressed at how "tight" the whole thing felt. Every motion and every action seemed like it was timed perfectly. Hell, using MIPS through the DDD door, he hardly lost any speed. Edit: Please fix up the file name if possable.

I cant find a good way to set up controls to try it for myself, so you might be on your own. Really like the first two levels though.

Really nice, lot of potential here. Have you tried what effect brief pauses have on the color of the next few marbles? A little luck manipulation would move things along nicely.

It would be funny if the holding Z run ended up faster then the SDA time. but the nagain, there isnt really a chance in hell of that.

As far as Im concerned, as long as you are still abusing BLJ, there is no significance to a 70 star run. Why not 60? or 85? the only point to getting 70 is to get to bowser in the sky without glitching.

I dont know the best way to manage a vote in an existing thread like this, but for what its worth, put one vote down for chef's #5 ruleset.

I would almost go so far as to say the only point to a 70 star run would be to be 100% glitch free. ie, no BLJ, no cannonless WF blast away the wall star, no blowing through chained chomp's gate, and no rabbit to get through the doors in the basement. I guess this is #5 on chef's list, that or #4 make the most sence to me. If we wanted to see insano-glitches, we should go ahead and download AKA's kickass run. That is the only way a 70 star run could stand out. That said, im not sure that is worth a seperate entry, but I for one would like to see a pure, white bred, "as it was ment to be" run. Deciding which stars are worth the time, and what levels to go to when would add an element. I hope im not alone, because this is something I would want to see.

Is the idea with the 70 star run to be glitch free? or jsut to do 70 stars then beat bowser 3? I ask this because (probably) the fastest 70 star completion would get red coins in bowser3's level, but that doesnt seem to be in the spirit of getting 70 stars in the first place.

If it works how you say it does, Tas it. It will go down in history next to http://tasvideos.org/352M.html http://tasvideos.org/328M.html http://tasvideos.org/466M.html As runs that totally WTFPWN the intended mechanics of the game. Funny that the zelda series has 3 of the first 4 games getting the shit kicked out of them through strange bug abuse, no two abusing the same glitch.

It leads to troublesome situations, because it is entirely possable to have a faster run that is far less entertaining, but that is neither here nor there. I dont really want to start such a discussion again, so I will not say anything more on the topic. Once again, good run AKA. Enjoyed it thuroughly.

How do you mean too little? Isnt any improvement enough to say that another run is better?
