In the AV Sync topic in the Dolphin section there are a couple solutions. I have 64 bit as well, AV Sync works for me by creating a dummy avi with Microsoft Video 1 configured to very low quality so the full video dump fits without splitting. I then used regular Dolphin 4.0.2 to dump the high quality frames with x264vfw x64 lossless, split files. I combined them with VirtualDub, deleting one frame at the end of each split because it seems a frame is duplicated during the dump split process. Ensure the number of frames on the HQ avi matches the original dummy avi, and call out the HQ avi in your Avisynth script.

I got my new HDD in and I've started recording a verification movie(s). Is there a cut-off-date? This may take a couple weeks. I apologize for this delay.

RachelB: Can you provide a AVSync version for Dolphin 4.0.2, for encoding my RE4 Mercenaries submission?

I changed the branch to simply "Mercenaries".
Are you going to do the other 3 areas now?
No. What is your recommended Branch name? Edit: I reread you post and changed the Branch again

I also support a "full" run instead of just the single mission. While impressive, it just seems arbitrary to have it for a single mini-game mission. Also I feel that time should be a sub-goal beyond Max Score. The run achieves the maximum score quite a bit before the time drops out and I'm unfamiliar with whether you can quit mid-mission, but achieving the max score in an optimal way should be part of the criteria. It's a bit harder to compare if the timer has to run out after you've achieved the score, which would be the purpose in quitting the mission early. Just my two cents.
It is possible to shorten timed gameplay by skipping time extensions. If I went purely for speed at the end the final kills would have registered with about 30 seconds left. The lowest timer is 50 seconds, so I could not skip any. The nature of this level is to save time by getting kills quickly and reinvest the saved time into further optimization, in the current run and in planning the next run. As an example, I had up to 30 seconds extra time in this run. In my previous iteration, I got the 348th kill for the first time with less than 1 second left, with only speed in mind. This extra 30 seconds can possibly be spent in a future run by grabbing the 1st bonus chest at the start of the run before getting any kills, which would add 4630 points with all else being equal. It is an iterative process of improvement. As for the possibility of doing this for all 4 maps with Wesker or all 20 map and character combinations, I'll happily offer this run as the initial contribution to a massive group effort :)

See it would've been nice that this was a Max Score in the branch (forgot about it). But even as I think about it (which is dangerous) I say a full Mercenaries run* would've been appropriate than this broken branch. Having Wesker as part of the branch is pointless like saying in Crash Team Racing the branch is Coco/N.Gin (Accel + Turn) because you didn't use Dingodile/Tiny (Top Speed + Accel). Instead you mention if you used Optimal or sub-optimal character within the TAS. Don't bring up Castlevania^ that game just is completely different when choosing different characters. *Village, Castle, Army Base and Water World ^Basically in Castlevania the stories are different when you do something, but Resident Evil this it's a "mini" map with guns, chicks, explosions, zombies, yadda yadda... (If that make sense.)
I changed the branch to simply "Mercenaries".

It won't since Wesker is an unlockable character by playing other Mercenary modes. This is a very impressive run though.
Thanks SoulCal. Unlocking Wesker won' t be hard, I don't know if your JPN version system file produced after your run would work with this NTSC game. A possibility for my desync using other system gci files may be that for the one frame I press A to grab the handgun ammo, the press is registered on a frame which no input is allowed. When I get some time I'll accomplish the prerequisites for unlocking Wesker, and if the desync still happens I'll hex in an additional A press. If it desyncs once every 1:36 that would add up to about 10 edits. My hard drive was failing as I finished the run and posted my submission, so this will take some time until I'm running again. It takes so much longer typing on a phone, I'm updating my submission as I can.

Did you maximize the number of kills during the Bonus Time? Did you know that you can break up your big kill combo and start a new combo when using Bonus Time (without losing score)? I wrote a FAQ on how the scoring system for the mercenaries mode works a long time ago, it explains how it works.
Baxter, I've pulled your wonderful FAQ up often over the years, and will refer to it in my submission. In this run I managed to gather the max enemies before each chest while keeping the combo going, without sacrificing points. Doing this for the 2nd chest took a bit of creativity.

The run looks great, but gameplay is so constantly interrupted that I only can vote No.
I understand the attache case use for weapon changes is annoying, primarily during the bonus chests. It was necessary for my goal. , though in hindsight seeing the extra time I had left I could have switched weapons less without hurting the score.l, making it easier on the eyes. At one point last year I tried doing a video edit only showing frames with the game timer, it had plusses and minuses.

Ilari/Henke: I have no verification movie. Reading the movie requirements article it seems a verification movie for my submission would at a minimum require completion of the main game and one minigame. Before I start, I am concerned about the desync I experienced trying two other system files which had Wesker unlocked. RNG seemed perfect but 1.6 minutes into the run Wesker fails to pick up an ammo drop which must be shifted in position just a little. This tells me there is something else besides the unlocks in the system file which effects gameplay. I should have made a full run before starting my TAS, but I'd really like any suggestions to backfit a verification movie.

Greetings. SoulCal's awesome video inspired me to start TASing Mercenaries. I would like to submit the following from NTSC Gamecube version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6x8HxPzrD8 Mercenaries mode is unlocked after the game is beaten once. My .dtm recording works with RE4's Systemfile .gci file (from my gamecube's memory card) loaded on MemoryCardA.USA, and up to 5 game save files. (With 6+ saves and it won't sync past the main menu). I've played the dtm using the two other gci Systemfiles downloaded from gamefaqs. Both desynced at the 1:37 point in the video, Wesker misses the handgun ammo grab and instead blows himself up with a grenade. Therefore, I think my Systemfile is required. Can I submit with my own Systemfile? If so, how do I do it?
