Yes from me. Looks well done. To Bisqwit: Although I did not download the movie file from this page, I got it from the site that Halamantariel posted in the IoG thread. I have watched the movie. Just clarifying :o

I've voted a very small amount of times without actually watching the whole movie before, which I won't do again. But, in those cases, I've usually been following a WIP by the author and I know how (s)he's played.

Just to say that when you input your name you type "Onuga", just saying since your nickname here is "Omega", so I'm guessing it was a mistake? Anyway, FF3 rocks :)

there is no such thing as an unbeatable game on NES. the following games i write here is games i have real cartridges on and have beaten them many times as a kid. Kid Icarus, this is an very easy game, can't beleave that they thought it was unbeatable. Battletoads, played this game with an childhood friend(couldn't play with my brother because we would allways start fighting at the stages where you hung by a rope), anyway, beat this game several times with training and a daily(4-5) glasses of cola. Castelvania(speaking for all the games), they were hard at the start, but it was the same all the time you played so you could play the games at the same time ur fighting a big brother;>. Icari Warrior, damn i hate it, how long we even tried (single or multi playing) we couldn't beat the game. haha just looked at my old nintendo controll and I found.......................Bite marks;>

Comments are always nice, so thanks ;) It could maybe be because I use the USA version instead of the European one, but I don't know this. The tentacles stretch out if you get to close yes, and I don't think you can escape them when they grab you.
yes your probably right aboiut the version, i bought mine from "Club Nintendo" when i was really small and i guess they sold european versions. I was wrong about the tentacle issue, they only stretch out as you come close as you said:)

i think this kicked ass, just one minor thing i want to point out. this version of the game gives you 10 misiles when you take a misile box. On my own turtles on Nintendo you only got 2 per box, not much other changes exept that the entangling tentacles at the water level tries to stretch out and grab you if your not quick enough. anyway Walker you kick ass, keep it up. ps i know this was a long time ago but i had to get it out as i tried to do some of the stuff u did on my real console and noticed the lack of misiles i had:>

wait.. is this a bug only in your version? because from your reply, I get the feeling it's not. If it isn't then can you also fix vba's crash that happens sometimes when changing the floor shown on a dungeon's map in "zelda : oracle of ages"? (as in pressing select in a dungeon with more than 1 floor and then pressing up&down a few times. it should crash) sorry if that crystalis thing is a bug introduced in your version, in which case my request is stupid :). talking about stupid, what's kxu doing lately? it has been ages since that beta release... i think you've done much better than him, nitsuja!

It would be intresting if we knew exactly how many missiles or shots we need to kill a boss. This would far optimize the path by not picking up neccecerry missile packs as we have 100% accuracy.
The question that's more important is if you would save time by using missiles instead of charged shots. How many seconds does a missile pack take to pick up, and how many can it save? How many missile packs are picked up before the time gained per pack is lower than the time lost when picking it up? My guess would be that getting the two first missile packs (before Arachnus) would be optimal for an emulated run.

hahahahaha oh my god that was good:>. an similiar thing happened for me, i had a sub gamemaster title at an friends ragnarok online private server, and an really bad sub GM and i allways had different opinions on stuff, and when he said something wrong i would allways correct him and call him stuff. so he starts yelling that he's gonna ip ban me. -.- he sits in center prontera and counts down from 20, when he reaces 0 he logs out. he actually ip banned himself instead of me:> you have to love some people^^

okay, but does anyone know where the important warps are. need to know, ive looked around a lot but i couldn't find it. i really want to rerun this game, and people say that i should use the warps. problem is that i have no i idea where they are. so. should i do a warp run (wich i will need help with). or keep a straight forward run with some better path chosing.

Hi. First of all, sry if i'm posting this in a wrong place, its my first time here. I'm looking for a speedrun for a game called Rick Dangerous. I played this as a kid on Commodore 64. Its very similar to Indiana Jones, you are this guy who has to pass all these booby traps and shoot enemies and plant bombs. I couldn find the speedrun, does any1 here have it or knows where to get it? Oh, there are sequels of this game... I played Rick Dangerous 3 I think (where this huge giant ball chases you at the beginning, just like in Indiana Jones).

I don't know if it's the kind of thing that can be manipulated, but in level 1 you can run past the three downwards moving spike columns when they are fully retracted to gain enough acceleration to jump *over* the first boss area and continue. In the movie Hiryu gets hit and goes down into the boss chamber briefly before climing up. Whatever causes their descent and rise seems to be random. Afterwards when the screen is all glitched up and the first necessary death occurs, I couldn't help but think that scaling the side of the building and coming down on the other side (the normal route) would be faster. Exactly how much time is saved using the current method, in comparison? If one goal is to exploit glitches without affecting time, before entering the room with Urubolos you can jump through the ceiling right at the end of the coridoor leading into the room. Not useful, just another quirk in the game. Anyway, nice to see such a well executed speedrun for this game. The bit in the last level where the upside down run clears all the spike columns was simply amazing, I didn't realize such a thing could be done. ;)

ps. use warps in your next version!
yea thought about that one, but there is no guide to the warps on gamefaqs:/. Baxter, might thy know whereth these warps may be?
I agree with FODA. Personally, using the level select code then go to world 8 makes the game impossible to beat.
Baxter has succeded in doing the impossible, you are now a god.

Needle Man:HINTS ON BEATING HIM: The trick to beating Needle Man is to remember you're playing. The first time I got to him, I laughed so hard at his hat that I forgot I was controlling Mega Man's destiny. After five similar occurances, I just tried to think sad thoughts to keep from laughing. "They... cancelled... Misfits of Science..." This worked, and I found out the Needle Man is about as tough as a 10 year old Star Trek nerd
this was so funny:-)
