Voted no. Could be improved (as Jyzero already got a 7 second improvement on the first level).

Alrighty feitclub, how many times does Necro have to say HE IS DOING A NO - HIT RUN. Seriously, It's his run, he can do whatever he wants. Everyone keeps complaining blah blah save time, blah my butt hurts. Necro's Run looks amazing considering it's his FIRST Run ever on any game. And on to end this post...EVERYONE INCLUDING feitclub, stop whining, as it is utterly useless, and rather annoying. Still mustn't grumble ADD ON : Why are people complaining about saving time...as far as i'm concerned a no hit run IS A PERFECT RUN, how can you improve on NOT getting hit?

1 - Final score doesn't matter IMO. 2 - Aren't you suppose to stop recording after you no longer need any button pushes to view the end movie? 3 - Should be interesting.

Sorry for the double post, but I did some tests: 1st Test -> No settings changed. I played with the frame counter on and FF'd to the beginning Bowser fight. As usual, the movie froze and the frame counter stopped (wouldn't continue after frame 9447 in this try). 2nd Test -> Unselected the box Halamantariel told me to. FF'd to the fight again and stopped at relatively the same time as the 1st test, and the game froze again with the frame counter again not moving (wouldn't continue after frame 9457 in this try). 3rd Test -> Turned off sound completely. FF'd to the fight again and stopped at relatively the same time as the first two tests. This time, the game didn't freeze and the frame counter continued as normal. I turned FF back on and went to random parts of the movie and put it back to normal speed. Again, the game didn't freeze.

I've never seen this happen. It fast-forwards just fine for me. Could you give somewhat more step-by-step instructions on how you get it to happen, and a description of what exactly you mean by "the movie freezes"? What does the frame counter do when it freezes? (hit . to display it if it's not on already, or whatever you bound it to.)
I load the rom, start the movie, and than turbo until the the movie is past Bowser's castle. After I unturbo, the movie plays fine for about five seconds and than 'freezes' (The whole program freezes and I have to ctrl+alt+del). I'm going to check the frame counter now, and than just try to play the movie w/o FF and see if it makes a difference.

I dunno if this has been mentioned, but if I turbo the video and than go back to normal, a few seconds later the movie freezes. Is there any options I have to have on or off to get the movie to work with nitsuja's version of Snes9x?

Cool. I probably never knew that because I'm the kind of person who usually tries to kill every enemy anyways.

I played the PC version of this game, it was like, 2 megs :D and the sound was better on PC than on the snes, which was the opposite for doom... hmm, thinkin of it, i'd like to see a doom movie :D But the most interresting thing about OOTW on PC was its ability to produce PCM sound over the pc speaker... yep! Real PCM audio over that beep speaker! That was really surprising, but.. boy that sounded like crap! lol! but still... and the 3d graphics... boy that game even ran full speed on my 386 33mhz!!! And like the movie author said, this probably the most difficult game on snes... ONE way to survive and dozens to die :D that's why i've been more impressed by the game features than by the game itself...
This movie seems more like a normal movie rather than just someone playing through a game extraordinarily.
Yeah! Just add voices and you could watch this with some popcorn and coke... Well, i actually did anyways :P

It's only a test run, isn't it? No need to optimize now. I just really want to see how fast you complete Mu (I think. The place with the 2 vampires).

Great movie, although I've lost a lot of skill at it, after so many years. But, I wanted to share something helpful. You are right, that if the element is moving the same direction as the magic from Iron Sword, then he will lose massive amts of HP. So, if you'd like to experiment on dealing damage more than half of the element's life, you can try this: 1) The lower right corner has 2 ramps. Combined w/ the Seven Leagues Boots, you can run at incredible speeds. 2) All elements encircle you, when they try to attack you. (clockwise, I think) 3) The result of 1 and 2 is that you can run at about the same speed as the element, and when you run up the hill and fire, you have a very good chance of doing killing the enemy in 2 or 3 blows. The only problem is, that I don't know how much longer it takes to kill all 4 w/ this method, since they need to come down to you, one at a time, before you can kill them. Furthermore, you still need to visit the middle peak, in order to activate the fight. In order to apply this technique ON the peak (as in fight all 4 elements at once, like in the movie), I think the best way to do this would be to attack them as they are moving from beneath you towards your left (i.e. - 6 to 9 o'clock). You would have to move left as well, to prolong the amount of time they stay on that 6 to 9 path. At least that way, it would give you a better chance of succeeding (assuming there's room up there). Hope this helps.

Is it necessary to kill all the enemies you did? (I realize some are required to open doors).

Excellent movie. And yes, this game is HARD. I don't think I've ever made past the second level on expert difficulty.

Ok, for most of the Snes9x movies I play (and some for both NES emulators), at a certain point in the movie, the movie will just will start doing random stuff. For instance, in Mega Man 7, about halfway through Shade Man's stage, Mega Man will start firing all of his weapons into a wall, the pause menu will come on and off, he'll stand around for about 30 seconds, get hit by enemies, jump in the air and push pause until he hits the floor, etc. And in the JP version of Dracula's Curse, at the beginning of the final level, the player will just walk right off into the first pit repeatedly. So, how do I get the movies to not do this? I know I have the right ROM versions for these things because otherwise they wouldn't even play.
